Religion / Re: T.B. Joshua Doesn't Support Military Action Against Syria by livethinme: 1:13pm On Sep 05, 2013 |
andyanders: On the one hand you're saying that false prophets exist, on the other you are passionately defending someone who many believe is one (i'll admit that many believe he isnt). You then said 'Have you seen him spreading an advert of his ministry on the streets of Lagos or elsewhere?' < Should we use that as a litmus test for 'common' prophets? Furthermore, surely the way you spoke about common prophets means that you are degrading them in some way? Doesn't that mean you're also degrading God's servants by calling these people you called prophets 'common' and comparing them to one man? |

Chinom: Any Diaspora Nigerian who wishes to tear and burn his or her Nigerian Passport should go ahead and tear it. We really DO NOT need half-hearted Nigerians in Nigeria. We only need those who are willing and able to go through the mill with us to make Nigeria a great country giving the indices available. Not sure if you're aware of this, but there are millions of Nigerians IN Nigeria who are ready to leave the country to live and die in the UK, Canada etc.. LOL Imagine if there were a directive, hey weaklings! Get a US, British or Canadian passport and leave Nigeria now I think the population would half within 2 years 3 Likes |

Emperor_007: I'm not surprise at all, their ( Norwegian ) orientation is one of the best on earth. Its the whole soc though isnt it as you've alluded to. But what about religion? Whilst you have prosperity preaching as rampant as it is in nigeria, people will never stop being materialistic. Also what about families? They have one or two kids up there and their population is small, but here its all about marriage and kids kids kids. Its hard to look after 170m people, especially with the problems nja faces and especially when we're projected to increase it to around 300m in 2050!..Its insane |

Nightshift: Norwegians are smart folks. The future of its citizens( born and yet to be born) is almost assured of good life with the government saving about €500 billion for coming generations. u honestly think Nigerians would do that? We are as materialistic as can be; we would splash out all of that on necessary things, the ones that arent stolen of course |

CAMEROONPRIDE: gay are being beaten , stripped all over Nigeria and no one is going to jail, u must b dreaming if u really think people are to get jailed because they beat ,spit, killed a gay. who cares? the case will b closed and that's it Thats got more to do with the Nigerian justice system as a whole which is worse than bad, however this does not mean that killing someone is not illegal. Hear yourself for a second. You are saying who cares when a group of people strip someone and then senselessly beats them + spits on them (potentially killing them)? And you will probably go to church on Sunday singing about love LOL man some African Christians are indeed funny.. 2 Likes |

flexshop: Lol whatttttttt? Okay so if I said to you one day in Nigeria, hey dude look at that gay person over there and that one down the road. I've pointed out 2 gay people to you - that could be seen as aiding and abetting gay marriage since maybe they somehow heard what I said and then after got to know each other etc... So, then because I pointed out 2 gay guys to you on the streets in NJA, I should spend 20 years in jail? like I said, be careful how you attempt to expand the scope of a particular law since it will have unintended consequences... 1 Like |

CAMEROONPRIDE: dumb azz . both are illegal? 'it says aiding or partaking in gay marriage attracts a 10yr penalty' < but BEING gay is not illegal, theres a difference lol In this case, we're talking about a Mr Gay World contest, how does that help 2 gay people get married? If you're going to expand the scope of this law, you should be ready for its unwanted consequences as well |

flexshop: I hope the mod that brought this to front page realised that Gay marriage and homosexual relationships are illegal in nigeria.this topic is detrimental to this site and may earn seun some jail time or at least a long drawn out legal battle for promoting homosexuality.just an advice.be warned Is promoting homosexuality illegal in Nigeria? Is this website 'based' in Nigeria? Btw Im sure that gay marriage is illegal, not homosexual relationships and also being gay is not illegal..so even if this were based in Nigeria, what case would someone have to throw Seun in jail? 4 Likes |
