You know under Clinton 23 million jobs were created oh and he maintained US's position as the strongest economy in the world and his government left with a surplus (which Bush destroyed).

What was that about GEJ again?

over 60 died in kano blast
166 people sank in a river
over 130 died in dana aircrash
and so on..... God hav mercy

d boat/plane issue could have been solved by having proper and rigorous security standards in place. Somehow I doubt that the government has them and even if they did, i'm sure that with bribes the companies could bypass such standards and the government would look d other day. Shame
Politics / Re: Jonathan Plans To Raise Petrol Prices Again by livethinme: 9:53pm On Mar 19, 2013
free2ryhme: How would raising petrol prices, under any guise, benefit Nigerians? If majority of Nigerians are poor and are already dealing with untold hardship which is directly caused by government officials who steal the nation's monies for themselves only, how will it be possible for “poor” Nigerians to purchase petrol at a much higher price when they can least afford lower petrol prices now? If the government needs more money for projects, why don't they lower the salaries of all government officials, after all, 75% of the nation's monies are spent on salaries and benefits to civil servants – something that shouldn't be in the first place. Why should government be providing cars and houses to government workers, in addition to pay them huge unjustified salaries? Also, why can't the federal government stop all “security votes,” which amounts to billions of Naira every month, to incompetent and thieving governors, and instead use those monies to develop the country?

Because they can do it since the Nigerians will keep voting them in power, thus validating their corruption

shymexx:

Don't you think you're actually the dumb one here?? Some of you need to read more and understand how the world works and how America use of its powerful and universally acclaimed citizens for its malicious intentions... The same way they're using Bill Gates for whatever their plan is in Africa, is what the they're trying to use Mark Zuckerberg and google for in China - everything isn't just black or white - it's deeper than "rap." I don't expect you to understand the motives beneath all the superficial polio nonsense...

Polio used to be the boogeyman, then it changed to malaria, then to feeding Africa, then to global warming, and now it's back to polio... grin What's the next boogeyman going to be

He donated $28billion to charity, yet he's still worth $61billion - and there's been no improvements in the lives of the people... Where's the billions of dollars donated to Haiti What happened to the trillions of dollars we all have been donating to UNICEF, Red Cross etc.(I can't keep up with the names anymore) Because the last time I checked, Africa hasn't improved - it just looks like a we're all pouring water into a basket... Which means something is definitely wrong somewhere....

As an African and a proud one, I'm tired of all this fvckery, and everyone labelling "us" the parasites of the world, the nutcase of the world, the dark continent, and the continent that'll always remain the same no matter how much they splash on it... It's high time they stopped playing us for dyckheads in the media with lousy aids and donations - and leave us the fvck alone if they can't actually do what everyone knows would take Africa to the next level... Tired of hand-outs!!

Tell him to stay in America and help them over there... God knows millions of Americans need his help... Next thing, 50cent would be on the plane to the remotest village in Africa telling us he's trying to feed everyone out there - GTFOHWTBS!!

I weep o...see foolishness.
I'm not sure if you know this, but Bill Gates works not just in Africa but in other continents.
There have been no improvements in the lives of people?..and youre telling someone else to read LOL..he has been at the forefront of Polio eradication, which as been almost TOTALLY eradicated APART from cases in...you guessed it..NIGERIA, Pakistan, Afghanistan etc.

Anyways, on to your wider point, why should these foreigners care about Nigeria, when Nigerians dont care about themselves?..they are defending corrupt politicians etc..you know its funny. You talk about Africa, you do realise that other African countries despise Nigeria because Nigerians are seen as too 'greedy + aggressive'.
Maybe if Nigerians started taking care of their home and holding their politicians to account, just maybe people will start caring

why is my comparison not the best? - the long term plan is for us to be wiped off the map - this why hiv aids and other contaminated vaccines are being distributed to millions of our people by the world health organisation, the likes of obassanjo and other CIA agents are very much aware of this fact.

who benefits from our resources? definitely not the nigerian people - just the european and american multinationals and the rest goes to our corrupt ruling elite who were placed in power as lackeys and gate keepers of european and american multinationals and banks.

I stopped reading after you wrote that nonsense. Its people like you that is the reason why Polio still exists in Nigeria.

FALSE NEWS.

naptu2: Ok, seriously now. Bill Gates Foundation is donating money towards the eradication of polio, malaria, etc.

You go and pardon a guy who stole money that could have been used for hospitals, etc.

How can the foundation be sure that any money it gives towards eradicating malaria, polio, etc won't be stolen by another corrupt politician who will simply be granted pardon a few years down the line?

Your comment puzzled me, honestly, your ignorance is astounding

*are you aware that Mr Bill Gates is at the fore front of the battle to eradicate polio GLOBALLY ?
*are you aware that his foundation has given $1.3 billion to this cause ?
*2.5 billion children around the world have been vaccinated against the highly infectious disease, which can cause paralysis in a matter of hours.
*The number of polio cases per year has decreased by 99% to just 222 last year

of course they are not. To these airhead Nigerians, everything is about money. WHAT CAN BILL GATES OFFER TO US? WE HAVE MONEY! NIGERIA ISNT POOR! etc etc etc..idiots. Nigeria, i weep oo

eghosarita: my dear d bible tells us to be merry with those who are merry and mourn with those mourning, God isn't against people drinking wine but He is against those whom He has called to Himself from drinking wine, remember when John's birth was proclaimed it was mentioned that he ll not taste wine,I'm very sure d bible did not state Christ drank from d wine, He only helped those who were in need,God also instructed His priest to desist from wine and the Bible also teaches me that I am a royal priesthood, and as such I belong to the family of Priest whom God has called to Himself, so based on that I do not take alcohol, its now left for you to choose u this day where you belong, do u belong to the royal priesthood of Christ or you are among the multitude. I hope this answers your question.

But wait a second. Jesus helped others drink wine, are you saying that those he helped had no chance to be called into priesthood?

m.k.o2005:

Since there is much controversy with the intake of alcohol as christians,i think we should watch out for the consequences and how grave these consequences are !
Come to think of it,if i don't take alcohol will i die ? If i don't eat will i die ?
Apart from the fact that both gluttony and drunkenness are sinful acts before God,I think i prefer to be a glutton than to be a drunk ! I am not saying this becos i don't drink(after all i have some alcoholic drinks at home as i say these words) or becos i have so much at home to eat(after all i still starve some days waiting to be paid after a job )!
In the bible, how many times were we instructed not to eat in excess and how many times were we warned against drunkenness ?
This pastor never said alcohol in itself is a sin but the things you do having taken alcohol is the bone of contention here ! He is saying that a little occasional sip today will most certainly lead to uncontrollable gush tomorrow ! There are people who are praying to be 'delivered' of drunkenness and some are busy here today defending drunkenness by saying just a sip won't harm you ! Alcohol is not food ! Once u get hooked on the table of men,u get high there and then !
Show me one who take alcohol occasionally and i will show you one who get's intoxicated, high, tipsy occasionally ! Oh ! I almost forgot, frosbel and myself m.k.o 2005 are occasional alcohol takers and at the same time occasional drunkards !
There is no long term or even short term befits as such in taking alcohol. For food, there are benefits no matter the quantity ! It all depends on the type of food ! But alcohol is alcohol !
The big difference between food(gluttony) and alcohol(drunkenness) is in what we eat ! Veggies, meat, cabs etc -for food !
Spirits,red/white wines, bear, stout, rum, whisky etc - all are alcohol and will eventually lead to drunkenness.
Over feeding = Stomach upset pending on what you took !
Drunkenness = Intoxication
What do i exhibit when restless as a result of over feeding ?
What are the characteristics of a drunkard ?
A very brief study on the effects of alcohol on the man's body !
-Hangover
-bad night sleep
-low energy
-High blood pressure
-sexual difficulty
-cancer
-liver cirrhosis
-withering of the testicles
-enlargement of the man's breast
-loss of hair on the body
-bone disease
-liver damage
-Inflamed pancreas
-irritated stomach
-type 2 diabetes
-Anxiety and depression
-Damage of the central nervous system
-Damage to the peripheral nervous system

I know some will say these are mostly scientific findings. But let us also see the popular scripture regarding alcohol intake and it's excesses !
Proverb 23:29-33
The bible say the below will be the case of the drunk !
-Woes
-sorrow
-strife
-complaints
-bruises
-bloodshot eyes
-feelings as if u have been bitten by a snake
-Feelings as if u have been poisoned
-strange sights
-Confusing imagination
-lusting after strange women
''Wine is a mocker, strong drink is a brawler: and whoever is deceived by it is not wise.Proverb 20:1
Jesus said what soever that will deter us from entering heaven should be cut off !
I have decided to quit drinking, not becos alcohol in itself is sinful but becos it will lead me to sin !
God help us

Okay no problem. you are admitting that you cannot moderate your alcohol intake. But guess what? Others can

What a joke.
