Hmm my sister.. am sure u hv heeded the voices dt hv told u to run; but for emphasis sake what these pple do is dt dy tie the womb of the woman so dt within the 9 months her circle no longer flows. They then give some injections which simulate pregnancy symptoms i.e fuller boobs and after some months the tommy looks bigger, i dn't know which one injections. the ultrasounds don't show and if u dn't pay completely dy won't loose d womb to enable u "deliver". As I speak now,one of my best friends has been carrying the "PH pregnancy for almost 2 yrs" she looks really pregnant, big boobs tommy and even a shinning nose but her younger sister just got preggy and delivered but she is still "preggy." If u read some chats back i mentioned one of my dad"s friend who told my hubby to "try and increase the population" at another time he told my dad that if anybody is looking for a child that dy should come to him as he knows how to go about it. though she is a yr older dn me, i got married 2 yrs b4 her and i know dt dy wanted to show me and my family that dy r not "Barren" like me.

@Cjnone, Run, if your legs are not enough, borrow mine and RUN!!! I would much rather go to an orphanage home and adopt and declare to the world that i adopted because i know dt "the tested quality of my faith works out endurance for me" and dt when Baba looks unto me at least he will say "that is my daughter, she waited upon me. she has d quality called "ENDURANCE"

By d way, please take some time out of ur prayers to praise the Lord on my behalf. He saved me from burning myself and our house with fuel last night. my house caught fire as i tried to fuel the gen. HE sent a crowd of angels in the form of neighbours to put out the fire. I very nearly poured the fuel on myself but for HIS grace as the fire started in my hands. I have been to shocked to thank him enough particularly as i was home alone and DH was not around.

Whatever! all i know is it will Never show until i have delivered my TWINS cos i have my BFP in Jesus name. Can't wait to do blood test to show DH that i am officially PREGNANT. Did not reply since cos am reluctant to prescribe. I know of a naturallist dt treats such infections. I can personally attest to her treating someone of staph aureus. She is based in lagos but has clients in different states hence she moves around. If u r interested, I can send u her phone no.

Opelistic1, I am not a proffessional Oº°˚˚°ºh! But I just did not want you to panic and feel the problem is insurmountable. From my time on ds site, I would say that ur problem would be hormone imbalance/pcos. It would pay for u to investigate these. In investigating this, I think one of d first things u need to do is get a hormone assay to diagnose whether u hv an imbalance or not. I would also say dt u r an ideal candidate foe vitex/chasteberry. Pls google fertilaid for women and read up. It might be enlightenning. I would try to find some materials for u.

I think u hv to consider a lot of factors.for example is ur cycle normally 22 days? Do u experience ur cycle 2ice every month. The reason I say this is becos even a person who has a regular 28 day cycle may experience 2 circles in a month of 30 or 31 days i.e 1st and 28th or 29th as d case may be and ds would be normal, if on d other hand ur cycle is not a regular 22 days then u MAY have hormone balance issues. Also if ur cycle is 22 days u may want to monitor ur ovulation day to ensure dt u dn't hv a leutal phase deffect whc I think is hormone related. Note also dt if u r under any form of medication, this may result as the drug tries to regularize ur hormones and treatment.

This is not good at all but i need you to understand your cycle first. Try charting your cycle for at least 3 months to ascertain the length of your cycle whether it be 25 or 27 or 28 days or even more. Sometime your cycle can fall within the same month if you have 25days cycle. so its not about the month, its about the numbers of your cycle days.

Your ovulation is determined by the numbers of your cycle days. For a 25days cycle, you ovulate starts from the 10th day while 27th days would be from the 11th day.
I have chart for you to follow. since it seems like you started ur mestral cycle yesterday, you can still make use of the chart.
i have also attached a sample guidelines o enable you fill the chart.
Try to buy a thermometer too, its not expensive about 1200NGN.

Record your temperature too and describe the state of your discharge too.

House all can make use of this chart too. It helps you to understand your body system in paper.

I think also that there was sumtin about a watery cm and finally dt EWCM is overated as pple hv gotten preggers wtout noticing any cm at all.

Sometime ago, I was diagnosed of ulcer too and was told to avoid certain foods like corn, groundnuts, oranges, okro,eba, starch,gardeneggs, dodo e.t.c. As soon as I stopped these things, the tommyache stopped. So pls stick to the diet and avoid those foods u were told to avoid and u'll be fine.

Dreamsinbc: I've been married for 4 years now, had 2 fibroids removed in 2011, got pg for the first time barely a month after the removal. Lost the pg at 3months.

@Lizzyslaw, hmmm, my sister, I too was saying at least let me get pg for once, but trust me, it's not easy. I went on to have 4 more miscarriages after that (which I'm sure will NEVER happen again, in Jesus' Name), but imagine the pain, the heartbreak!
My prayer for all reading this is :No more casting of our young! Those of us who have never been pg will be and will carry to fulfilment!

The last mc was in early 2012, since then, nothing! DH and I have decided to go the ivf route, we plan to do it in May, before then, however, we plan to experiment with at home insemination, generally just have fun till May.

Amen my sister. I don't pray for a miscarriage Oº°˚˚°ºh! In truth for every category of TTC dt we hv in this forum, our pains r different but d fact dt our needs r d same unifies us. Am very sure dt if u ask around amongst pple who hv waited as long as I hv without a BFP or miscarriage they will tell u dt in d darkest recesses of our hearts we hv wished dt even if for once we should get a BFP. The significance and difference btw us dearie is dt at least u hv prove dt u can concieve and dt u just need to know what causes d miscarriage and hope/believe dt once d cause is discovered d solution will come either medically or in d form of prayers. My dear, I still hv to find out whether or not I can concieve whatever d case may be.

To say dt it is better to not concieve at all is sometin I can't agree wt. I understand d rational for ur opinion but if only u knew d anguish of d regular/irregularity of AF. Regular in d sense it comes steadily for d past 6 yrs and iregularity of it being anytime btw 21 to 35 days.

I remember 2wards d end of my first year of marriage, I missed my period for a couple of days. First time ever. DH had even started rubbing and kissing my flat tummy b4 and after work when suddenly d witch came wt a vengeance. Since dn my circle has never been d same again. Imagine being 11days late only to do a blood test and get a BFN. Anytime I do a test and get a BFN am ashamed. Now, I dn't even bother 2 test anymore. Morning sickness and a 2nd Missed period is gonna be my BFP. At least b4 I do any other test. No more symptom spotting for me. At this rate if it happens I might even pretend to DH till it hs been confirmed by an US or sumtin

I was pushed to challenge God recently and I begged him to prove his Godship cos I was in excruciating pains and there were no painkillers in sight. I told him to prove dt he still answers prayers. B4 I knew it I fell asleep and it was in my sleep dt I realised dt he had just proved his Godship and dt he still answers prayers, it happened in less dn 5 mins and I was awed cos without him I know d pain never subsides wtout painkillers. Normally I take 3 tabs of pcm every 3hrs for abt 3 days during AF's early days of terrorism.

What we do wt d knowledge we have now is what counts. Funny enough we did ask but d Docs were not forth coming but now we know enough to ask d right questions and demand an answer. I hv learnt soo much more from this thread than from any Doc that ever attended to me. I remember one Doc who kept smiling sheepishly every month as I writhed in pain from menstrual cramps so debilitating that I could never stand upright, he kept telling me d pain is in my head and in frustration I started looking for herbal remedies! Sometin I NEVER dremt I will do in my life. SMH

Here are five ways to help you pin down the big day.

1. Check the calendar: Ovulation most often occurs halfway through your menstrual cycle — the average cycle lasts 28 days, counting from the first day of one period (day one) to the first day of the next period. But as with everything pregnancy-related, there's a wide range of normal here (anywhere from 23 to 35 days), and your own cycle may vary slightly from month to month. By keeping a menstrual calendar for a few months, you can get an idea of what's normal for you — tools like this ovulation predictor can help you pin down the date. If your periods are irregular, you'll need to be even more alert for other signs of ovulation, so read on.

2. Listen to your body: If you're like 20 percent of women, your body will send you a memo when it's ovulating, in the form of a twinge of pain or a series of cramps in your lower abdominal area (usually localized to one side — the side you're ovulating from). Called mittelschmerz — German for "middle pain" — this monthly reminder of fertility is thought to be the result of the maturation or release of an egg from an ovary. Pay close attention, and you may be more likely to get the message.

3. Chart your temperature: That is, your basal body temperature, or BBT. Taken with a special thermometer (yes, you guessed it, a basal body thermometer), your BBT is the baseline reading you get first thing in the morning, after at least three to five hours of sleep and before you get out of bed, talk, or even sit up. Your BBT changes throughout your cycle as fluctuations in hormone levels occur. During the first half of your cycle, estrogen dominates. During the second half of your cycle (once ovulation has occurred), there is a surge in progesterone. Progesterone increases your body temperature as it gets your uterus ready for a fertilized, implantable egg. Which means that in the first half of the month, your temperature will be lower than it is in the second half of the month, after ovulation. Confused? Here's the bottom line: Your BBT will reach its lowest point at ovulation and then rise immediately and dramatically (about a half a degree) as soon as ovulation occurs. Keep in mind that charting your BBT for one month will not enable you to predict the day you ovulate but rather give you evidence of ovulation after it has occurred. Charting your BBT over a few months, however, will help you to see a pattern to your cycles, enabling you to predict when ovulation will occur in future months — and when to hop into bed accordingly.

4. Get to know your cervix: Ovulation isn't an entirely hidden process. As your body senses the hormone shifts that indicate an egg is about to be released from the ovary, it begins to ready itself for the incoming hordes of sperm and give the egg its best chance of getting fertilized. One detectable sign of oncoming ovulation is the position of the cervix itself. During the beginning of a cycle, your cervix — that neck-like passage between your vagina and uterus that has to stretch during birth to accommodate your baby's head — is low, hard, and closed. But as ovulation approaches, it pulls back up, softens a bit, and opens just a little, to let the sperm through on their way to their target. Some women can easily feel these changes, while others have a tougher time. Check your cervix daily, using one or two fingers, and keep a chart of your observations. The other cervical sign you can watch for is the appearance, increase in quantity, and change in consistency of cervical mucus (the stuff that gets your underwear all sticky). Its more noble purpose is to carry the sperm to the ovum deep inside you.

After your period ends, you'll have a dry spell, literally; you shouldn't expect much, if any, cervical mucus. As the cycle proceeds, you'll notice an increase in the amount of mucus with an often white or cloudy appearance — and if you try to stretch it between your fingers, it'll break apart. As you get closer to ovulation, this mucus becomes even more copious, but now it's thinner, clearer, and has a slippery consistency similar to an egg white. If you try to stretch it between your fingers, you'll be able to pull it into a string a few inches long before it breaks. (How's that for fun in the bathroom?) This is yet another sign of impending ovulation — as well as a sign that it's time to get out of the bathroom and get busy in the bedroom. Once ovulation occurs, you may either become dry again or develop a thicker discharge. Put together with cervical position and BBT on a single chart, cervical mucus can be an extremely useful (if slightly messy) tool in pinpointing the day on which you are most likely to ovulate — and it does so in plenty of time for you to do something about it.

5. Buy an ovulation predictor kit: Don't want to mess around with mucus? You don't have to these days. Ovulation predictor kits (OPKs) are able to pinpoint your date of ovulation 12 to 24 hours in advance by looking at levels of luteinizing hormone, or LH, which is the last of the hormones to hit its peak before ovulation actually occurs. All you have to do is pee on a stick and wait for the indicator to tell you whether you're about to ovulate.

Another option is a saliva test, which takes a peek at levels of estrogen in your saliva as ovulation nears. When you're ovulating, a look at your saliva under the test's eyepiece will reveal a microscopic pattern that resembles the leaves of a fern plant or frost on a windowpane. Not all women get a good "fern," but this test, which is reusable, can be cheaper than those sticks you have to pee on. There are also devices that detect the numerous salts (chloride, sodium, potassium) in a woman's sweat, which change during different times of the month. Called the chloride ion surge, this shift happens even before the estrogen and the LH surge, so these tests give a woman a four-day warning of when she may be ovulating, versus the 12-to-24-hour one that the standard pee-on-a-stick OPKs provide. The key to success in using this latest technology is to make sure to get an accurate baseline of your ion levels (currently, there's a device on the market that needs to be worn on the wrist for at least six continuous hours to get a proper baseline). No OPK can guarantee that you will get pregnant or that you're actually ovulating; they can only indicate when ovulation may be occurring. So no matter which device or method you choose, patience and persistence are key! Just don't forget to put together a candlelit dinner, draw a warm bubble bath, or plan a romantic weekend getaway — whatever it is that puts you and your partner in a baby-making mood.

I enjoyed ur writeup on d orphanage, kids r wonderful irrespective of where dy come from. I hv never been to an orphanage but everywhere I go, kids r around me in service and even at home and I hv gotten past d (if I carry them I wonder how pple will be looking at me stage)Now when kids r naughty in service their parents say "go and sit with aunty Liz" and dy come. But there r these kids, neighbours actually, less dn 6 months, twin boys.I can't differentiate them yet but discovered I always carry d eldest one. When I get to their house, he looks up and smiles at me in this funny way. It makes my heart squeeze with joy. The first time I brought him home wt me as soon as I shut the gate he was scared cos of d strange environment. Now he recognises my house. Believe me adoption is an option. If I can love another person's baby and dy love me back nuttin stops me from adopting and making mine.

Hv been on my 2ww and decided to do an USS to check whether d herbal treatment I hv been taking 4 d multiple uterine fibroid result I got in an USS last year had changed. Result:The considerations are: multiple posterior subserosal fibroids; ? Pelvic endometrioma. Hsg and other ancillary investigations are advised.

I calmly drove myself home from d test and started researching d MPSF. After reading my fill, DH came home and as I hugged him welcome I broke down sobbing like a baby wt mucos dripping from my nose and all else. He just held me and begged me to stop crying dt it is not d end of d world and even if we don't hv kids we will be ok as it is d 2 of us 2gether!

Hmmm...been down just thinking about it and going through d motions of work. Am scared of anytin invasive but I read dt d only accurate treatment for MPSF is surgery.

The journey is not an easy one, yet it isn't a journey we can overcome by our strength alone. We need his grace and he has promised us dt He will deliver and all we need do is ask.

I don't know anything about the M & M Fertility Clinic but i can see that there is a lot about them on the net, just google it and read about them> however i understand the need to hear from someone who has a personal experience with them> i have found that sometimes some clinics and Doc's just advertise themselves when in fact they can't do what they promise and have no bed side manners.

Also Dearie, i would advice that if no one knows, u can visit personally to just talk first and see whether they are emphatic and whether they even listen becos from experience, i know u need a Doc who is not to full of himself or herself and will take time to listen to you.
