Hey MzNelly, Thanks for the update. Loving it |
Its amazing how selfish desires and envy always makes supposed best friends betray the trust reposed in them. Gbemi is a classic example. Patiently waiting for her to meet her waterloo. Kudos! |
@MzNelly, I followed you to literature section and prior to reading beauty personified, I had only read one other work, something by standd about a girl that was sexually abused. A real life story she said. This was all the more reason why I was captivated by beauty personified. Unfortunately, I don't come online too regularly to cheer you on. I would like to read this till the end so I will say, please complete it for me, but apart from my desire to read the complete work, I would like you to finish it for you. Don't write it for us alone, write it for you. I would also like you to finish it because it is a fresh plot at least to me. It is one story that I cannot guess the end of. |
Hi iOmoge, iOmoge:Please how effective is the XENICAL for weight loss and does the program only consist of drugs? I need to help Dh lose some weight and I am at my wits end. Also please what did the ACV tablets cost? Thanks in advance. |
@MzNelly, I just saw the mail in my spam folder. Have replied you on how. Sorry about not replying you earlier. |
MzNelly:You mailed me? Sorry, but I haven't seen it. Lemme go check but I doubt I received it. |
Viviparity, congratulations. May God grant you H and H 9 months. |
Loving this Nelly. Kudos! Sorry, I have not been available. |
Deezou, congratulobia! This good work started by Baba shall be completed in Jesus mighty name. May you have an h & h nine months IJMN- Amen |
JUMAYIN:@ Jumayin, why do you ask about the cramps? Is it a positive sign or a negative oh! @Deezou, fingers crossed for you oh! BFP all the way. Always true, Safe06, Wonyi, ebony13, ayaakannoh, iyabetajos etc greetings! |
safe06:@Safe06, Twale for you. May you walk and never stumble. I can't remember but I think beloved changed monikers and has given birth. I stand to be corrected sha! As for all other M.I.A mamas. I really don't know. Am here oh! Disappeared and when I came back the thread had grown. Lost the zest to read up all the pages that had quadrupled. I am still here, silent. Letting go and letting God. |
Lol. Kayla has this sadistic charm to her. By the way, your siggy makes me laugh. My conclusion... You are a romantic. |
I vote contestant A Obinoscopy and Excelsia Cc: Luxanne |
Wow! My decision to read this was not a mistake. It not only beautifully written but the plot is fresh. However, I think you do underrate yourself in terms of your reasons for making it a dialogue. I can just imagine what this would be if it were more of a prose. Kudos!!! Am proud of you. |
Hello fruitful mamas and papas, Thanks for keeping this thread alive. May God Almighty give us all the strength to bear up in the course of this journey till we reach pour goal. @Mychildishere, let me first and foremost say congratulations. I wish you a sticky bean or beans as you like it. It shall not end as a bfp but will progress in viability till the Lord says it is the appointed time for you to holdyour bundle of joy in your arms. My lovely sisters, God's grace is all I wish us all. |
@All, Good day, Ȋ̝̊̅ feel that Ȋ̝̊̅ just have to report this and give kudos where it is due. Ȋ̝̊̅ never cook for large crowds. Ȋ̝̊̅ can assist but don't and hv never done it alone. Anytime Ȋ̝̊̅ hv to host DH's friends Ȋ̝̊̅ call this caterer friend of mine over. Some weeks back, Ȋ̝̊̅ attended a 3 days convention and decided to cook throughout. Ȋ̝̊̅ also decided to cook for many and Ȋ̝̊̅ did it alone! For 3 straight days, my food was absolutely divine. Ȋ̝̊̅ didn't feel stressed out at all. It all seemed so easy. Ȋ̝̊̅ had no fear of oversalting which Ȋ̝̊̅ used to do b4 even with small meals. My co-ordination was sometin else. Ȋ̝̊̅ seemed to have attained a level of wifeness Ȋ̝̊̅ never had b4. Thanks Deema! |
@All, goody goody moringus! Its been a while but Ȋ̝̊̅ decided to come out of hibernation because of Alwaysbaby, as Ȋ̝̊̅ read along though Ȋ̝̊̅ discovered that all the grounds hv bn fully covered. Nuttin more to say just that..."Ȋ̝̊̅ love u Sis!" and a quiet voice within tells me "Ur (Alwaystrue) time is nigh" u r in Baba's schedule. @tami&tara, wipe ur tears Sis! Ȋ̝̊̅ don't know how long u hv waited on the Lord, for me it was 6 yrs in october. To some dt is a verrrry long time but to others here it is like the early hours of their wait so far. In the early part of my marriage, Ȋ̝̊̅ saw "red". In service Ȋ̝̊̅ calculated how long it took newly weds to get pregnant while Ȋ̝̊̅ waited. Very soon they startd doing 2nd kids , 2nd kids grew up and were followed by 3rd kids and Ȋ̝̊̅ still wait! Early on each new baby caused me sooo much pain and Ȋ̝̊̅ withdrew into my shell and then each sermon on prayer made me weep and when other members sang with joy about Baba's miracles, Ȋ̝̊̅ walked briskly outside to cry my eyes out because Ȋ̝̊̅ wonder y HE has refused to answer my prayers. With time however, Ȋ̝̊̅ have realised that no doctor can achieve the miracle of my pregnancy without Baba. Ȋ̝̊̅ have also realised that b4 we can get high quality gold, it has to pass through a hot furnace. Gradually, Ȋ̝̊̅ started seeing newborns, not as enemies but as angels through whom God may bless me. Ȋ̝̊̅ started to ask new mums how they cope with the sleepless nights. Ȋ̝̊̅ started to pitch in to lighten their burden by carrying the babies while in service so they can rest a bit. Now the kids flock around me and DH and sometimes new memebers ask DH how are d kids and when he says we don't have any yet, they are tami&tara, it doesn't get painless but sometimes d burden seems lighter but we NEVER forget that our prayers r yet unanswered. The tears may fall less often but our hearts r still heavy. We may not think about it every minuit of every day but we do still think about it. Ȋ̝̊̅ guess what helps Is the fact that we have indeed pushed our burdens on the Lord, but for the seemingly strong ones, we still breakdown now and then, d secret is dt when we grieve, we do not do so as those without hope. Cheerup Sis! "Ȋ̝̊̅ love u and it will get better" however my prayer for u is dt Baba answers u speedily IJMN-Amen @Gen Buhari, congratulations on your baby and Ȋ̝̊̅ pray for the good health of DW. Ȋ̝̊̅ dn't know y anybody has not said this and Ȋ̝̊̅ hope Ȋ̝̊̅ am not breaking an unspoken code of conduct but let me say it and hope Ȋ̝̊̅ do not offend. Ur DW wants a son cos u only hv girls Ȋ̝̊̅ believe, hope Ȋ̝̊̅ am not making a mistake. While she is happy about the safe delivery, she may still be sad about d baby's se.x Please, Ȋ̝̊̅ hv ds 2 say but hope u'll not be offended. Sometimes we pray 4 certain things but it doesn't happen because it is not God's will for us. Maybe it is God's will for u to have strappling and wonderful Son-in-laws. Sometimes wives fight desperately for something not because D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ want it but because D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ want to satisfy the unspoken yet believed desires of their hubbies. Pls ask urself if u r subconsciously showing DW dt u want a male child or if it is members of ur extended family dt is doing so. It may also be her friends, extended family or neighbours. The reason Ȋ̝̊̅ dare to say this is dt many women have lost their lives during childbirth or pregnancy all because D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ were searching for a particular se.x U will agree with me that ds was a difficult pregnanacy for her. Dear Brother, only u can protect her from herself. It is possible that she wants a male by all means because she wants to satisfy u. It is upto u to convince her that u r satisfied with ur kids irrespective of their sex. Interestingly, u might both be pleasantly surprised at an unplanne pg dt ends up being a boy! Once again, Ȋ̝̊̅ express my deep and sincere apology if Ȋ̝̊̅ have offended u. God Bless u and ur family @All, am sorry for the long post. Wishing all of us in God's waiting room speedy attention ds 2014 |
@Iyabetajos LWKMD @ polishing ur engrish! As u polish am reach Ȋ̝̊̅ gats to hold dictionary to gbadun am. Bawo "grits ati acha?" @safe, tolotolo and mosquito indeed! |
@All, good morning! @Alwaystrue...pls do u mean Udoka2 is Mypeace? |
@Safe welcome Oº°˚˚°ºh! We missed ya! @Chiclasweet, welcome and amen! @Dreams, abeg, Ȋ̝̊̅ think Ȋ̝̊̅ asked did question b4 but dn't think Ȋ̝̊̅ got an answer. Pls is there an alternative to Zuchini? Ȋ̝̊̅ hv been eyeing the chicken wings and zuchini, Ȋ̝̊̅ hv bought wings several times over and used it to make sumtin else @All, God is able, may our faith remain strong and steadfast in the Lord. |
@all, wishing u a lovely day today. May this thread not die Oº°˚˚°ºh! IMHO "healthy eating" is synonymous with boring and tasteless food. Ȋ̝̊̅ vote "fertility diet" |
@All, Ȋ̝̊̅ think Ȋ̝̊̅ figured out the nairaland pm wahala. If u receive a pm, don't expect to be able to read it cause there is actually no message, just a notification that someone wants to reach you. Just click reply to the mail and send a message that u received the pm or if u know what d person is pm-ing u about reply. This message then gets delivered in the persons mailbox and vis-versa cos u both now have each others email addy shikena! |
@all, good morning. @Santegelo noted! |
@ All ona Good good moringus Oº°˚˚°ºh! @ Uteh, when Ȋ̝̊̅ saw ur post on sometin bitter for DH, Ȋ̝̊̅ laughed. Biko, wetin DH do when u wan punish am nau? To my Dh anytin bitter is punishment. Ȋ̝̊̅ never see ds kind man b4, his sweet tooth na helele! Me Ȋ̝̊̅ like bitterleaf but him....kai! If he offends me dt day if Ȋ̝̊̅ cook Ȋ̝̊̅ ensure Ȋ̝̊̅ put plenty bitterleaf in his soup and when he tastes it Hia! He scrunches up his face and Ȋ̝̊̅ say "sorry Ȋ̝̊̅ don't understand ds bitterleaf, it seems to have sometin extra today" with a smile and then he gives me the evil eye! Ȋ̝̊̅ will jejele carry my food to d bedroom and let him eat while fuming. ː̗̀=Dː̖́•ℓσℓz•ː̗̀=Dː̖́•! This food ehn! It can be used to achieve plenty purposes ![]() @Dreams biko, y u wan draw my leg come out na? Ȋ̝̊̅ said Ȋ̝̊̅ like it. Ȋ̝̊̅ wanted u to try it out and if it is ☺ķªª¥, tell the house ursef if u deem it fit. The peck for me is d fact dt it is a lazy meal. Abeg if u don try am u fit share am if u feel it is worthy. Thank u! Hmmm 21 days already? Choi! Ȋ̝̊̅ support continuity Oº°˚˚°ºh! Pls ds thread must not die. The beauty of this challenge is that u can start it whenever u like by just going back. @ twinnie, u deserve d award Oº°˚˚°ºh! |
@ Poster, Ȋ̝̊̅ dn't know anything about that university in particular so Ȋ̝̊̅'ll advice u generally. U will need to prepare in terms of clothes. As a rule law students conform to a dress code. Black and white. Black trousers and skirts, white shirts and black suits. Depending on the particular university, the suit is negotiable for example in Ambrose Alli university, u must wear your suit whether the sun shines or the harmattan freezes. Acc. to Prof Aibony of AAU " you have to sweat it out. It is the profession of ur choice so you hv to get used to it cos one day, u'll be buried in your suit with the wig and gown" In uniben on the other hand, u can afford to wear just ur black trouser or skirt with a white shirt. For a guy, u need a black tie and for d girls ur white blouse should not have frills and embroideries. In both universities, jewellries r expected to be moderate without being ostentatious. This dress code is universal subject to the wearing of suits as determined by the faculty. Will come back to address another area soon! |
@ All, Matt 6 : 12 "And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us" In all of the bible from Genesis to Revelation, Ȋ̝̊̅ believe this is my favourite passage. Ȋ̝̊̅ try to live by it and do more. Ȋ̝̊̅ try to forgive those who offend me even b4 D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ ask because, Ȋ̝̊̅ am a sinner, an imperfect being prone to error. Ȋ̝̊̅ want God Almighty to forgive my sins even before Ȋ̝̊̅ ask him. Ȋ̝̊̅ am enphasising this because if there is no forgiveness on this thread, there might be trouble. This message is directed at "u know who you are" Ȋ̝̊̅ dn't want to name names, pls forgive and forget. @Redeemersave, thanks for the opinion on gifting. Ȋ̝̊̅ quite understand the need for caution as it is subject for abuse, however Ȋ̝̊̅ am one who has been on the receiving end of such gifts and Ȋ̝̊̅ can say it is much appreciated particularly when it is unsolicited and the truth is, most times some of these things are just not available in certain locations. That being the case we should individually try to get our drugs ourselves first. On a lighter note, Ȋ̝̊̅ hv an opened bottle of fertilaid for men which DH stopped using. He got 2, finished one and started the other but stopped cos he felt he was reacting. In my opinion na shakara. Its expensive and Ȋ̝̊̅ wish it doesn't have to go to waste but Ȋ̝̊̅ hv bn keeping my eyes and ears down in the hope someone will need it and Ȋ̝̊̅ can send it but Ȋ̝̊̅ have not heard. That is also another motivation to gift things out. But most of all, sometimes u could send someone and D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥'ll buy u d wrong thing so if a memeber here can help buy it, it saves time and worry dt it is d right thing. @Prettyrosefave, am with u on the prayers. We need to do more of that. @All, a very pleasant sunday to u. |
@pink22, the Lord is your strength. Your cup will not pass you by. It is well. |
@poster, legal practice is a different ball game from office jobs per se. One can be intelligent and yet lack the skills needed for advocacy. In my experience having practiced with the secretary of a branch as well as a thriving firm owned by a lawyer and Dr. in one of the Nigerian Universities, I would say that it is your carriage and sometimes connections that gets you a job with a chambers. Often, if the chambers is in need of a junior, they give the junior a shot. They could ask u if u know how to move motions and write briefs particularly in this era of frontloading but in most cases, they want to know if u have got what it takes to talk authoritatively in court. In effect am saying that they could ask unachievable legal question or nothing legal at all, what they really are trying to find out is if you have the requisite boldness to face the court I.e the judge and also win the confidence of your client. Hope this helps and I have not confused u even more |
@Jayjagz I presume u culled that from the punch papers and didn't write dt urself right? Anyway, it was quite something to read and all true. I would like to add that in practice, it pays to be humble and curious. Sometimes some chambers are not so well organised and so you are stuck with the occasional strange file thrown at you the morning of the case. In these cases, these qualities hitherto mentioned by my humble self come to play. Go to court early and respectfully ask questions from senior colleagues. A parable says "he who asks questions never goes wrong". Back in the day, this always helped me when the case I had previously been assigned was swapped suddenly. Humility also comes into play when u deal with court officials and police cases. These people have worked in the courts for so long and have a wealth of experience which is invaluable to the Rooky lawyer. Also, if u r known to be humble, sometimes other police officers would hasten ur success in ur cases with their colleagues and u go back smiling to the office. Many a time I achieved success and amazing feats at the court and police station where other office colleagues failed to the joy of my principal. Believe me, with these qualities, ur success is assured. |
@ Poster, first and foremost, congratulations! On the issue of advice, I think a lot depends on which university has granted u admission. Different university's have different styles for example in terms of dresscode so instead of engaging in an exercise in futility it would be nice if you r specific. Another thing worth considering is the school environment as this plays a large role in determining what advice to give so a little more detail will guide us in rendering u advice. |
@ all, good day! Its sunday today so Ȋ̝̊̅ believe y'll r raising ur voices in praise and worship of Baba Amighty. Pls the let praise and worship ring out loud. @Alwayztrue, this breakfast ehn!
