@Hadassaeke, I guess you want to apply to LMU geophysics..you dont need the IELTS or TOEFL score..that is clearly stated on the geophysics homepage. As regards your transcript, I have mentioned before that you request your school to send it to any higher institution or scholarship board or society(eg society of exploration geophysicists) where you know someone and you have that person pick it up and give to you. Even when you have beem admitted and you are about to enrol at the school, they will still demand for an original copy of your transcript which you must show to them

Quick question. For those who've gone through the process, how long does it take on the average to get a notification from Deutshe bank after opening a blocked account? Was at the consulate on Monday, 20th April to certify my docs (append signatures) and submit my application. It's been 3weeks now and no word yet from Deutshe bank. Gracias

I applied for opening the acct on 13th of April and I got a mail from them on the 1st of May confirming that the acct has been opened.

I advise that you wait for complete 4 weeks as the embassy have said that the process takes up to 4 weeks. Do not mail them yet..they are definitely attending to your application.

Hello guys. Make una no mind me o. grin

I just want to verify if one can use OND result to apply for an undergraduate course in Germany.

Bro..you cam definitely be admittee to a bsc program. However note that most sc courses are held in German and there are few english courses at this level except at private(very expensive) schools like Jacobs University. You may also need to attend a Studienkolleg. You can register at the Goethe Institute asap and also keep learning on your own very fast. I hope you achieve your dreams..I learnt how to speak B1 Arabic within 4 months of intensive study so you gan do the same with German. Goodluck

I have known Mr. Korede for a very long time dating back to our secondary school days at International School Lagos and it is known that the guy is extremely brilliant. On several occassions he would be called out on the assembly ground for taking 1st place in science competitions like Awokoya chemistry competition amongst others. His WAEC was also fantastic. Though he was my junior by 1 year both at ISL and UNILAG(where I also studied Electrical Engineering) I knew him so very well because he would sometimes come to me to seek my opinion on certain lecturers(GEG lecturers) but I never asked him for his gpa once even tho I knew he was on first class..and the guy was so humble that he never even mentioned his gpa, not even in passing.

I havr no doubt that he would secure a top job if given a chance to take the aptitude tests of these top companies as he has excelled in many other scholarship aptitudetests. The only thing he needs to work on are his teamwork and leadership skills because companies always employ only those who have these skills as long as they have a minimum of second class upper. I know this coz I secured a job with Procter and Gamble Nigeria in my final year and many other first class guys couldnt get it coz they felt it was gonna be by book..by the way I graduated wt 4.40..kudos Korede

I do not have waec . what i have is NECO and i included it. My school did not release transcript to me else i would have included it but does uni-assit need transcript ?I did not take german lang test as my course is in english. what i took is english lang test (ielts)

Okay bro..all the best..uni-assist may have no problem with your statement of results.since their job is simply to evaluate the equivalency of your qualifications with that of a regular german applicant..however the school itself may have issues wt it since they have to know the names of courses that you took in order to know if you have the required background..next time try to receive your transcript by hand..you can ask your school to send it to another school where you know someone and you wiol just go and pick it up..thats what most of us do..all tje best

Hello ALL.
I just discovered this thread. I must confess u guyz are doing very wonderful stuff here.
I have sent my documents to UNI-ASSIST via fedex. But i am yet to get confirmation from them.
I am applying for Bsc. MY Highest qualification is HND. i have sent them certified copies of my HND certificate n Statement of result,OND certificate n Statement of result,my Neco certificate, my pry 6 certificate,my Ielts Academic RESULT.Brothers please is there something else i am missing ?

Sounds like your docs are complete. However I hope your statements of results for HND and OND also list your course title and unit and also an explanation of your gpa system..also i am wondering as to why you didnt include you waec result(thats if you have one) and also a german language certificate(since most bsc courses are in german). Uniassist takes 6weeks to process your docs. I wish you all the best.

Please house, I need to send my certified documents to Germany (Bayreauth precisely) 2mao and I need a fairly xpensive Courier Service (Not DHL) that have bn tested and used by a member of thz forum tht can guarantee my docx will get to the destination by nexweek Wednesday as the deadline for acceptance of certified docx is thursday. Pls include the cost and the earliest and latest possible time of arrival in the university

Bro, the most reliqble service that is cheaper than DHL is UPS and they should charge you 10k and it will get there by Mondqy Morning if you send tomorrow. Please close eye and use them. Dont look for anything cheqper..the last person that used EMS complained qbout how his docs took many weeks to deliver...this is your bright future and sacrifices have to be made to achieve your goals..consider the money as sacrifice..i have also spent over 50k in qpplication and travel money..i spent 23k to apply to TU Delft and spent 35k to send docs to Karlsruhe,LMU Munich and IPGP in France coupled with flight money to and fro Jos to Lagos just for certification..O have been accepted at TU Delft and LMU even tho I was rejected at IPGP bt I hqve no regrets for spending the money on this. I wish you all the best in your applications. Please dont go lower than UPS.

Obiwann I agree with you
Travel / Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by lmuhopeful: 10:52am On Apr 22, 2015
Obiwann and crowns2..the point is still same. The members of this forum should endeavour to ask only questions that cant be answered by a google search or an email to the program director at the uni u av applied to. Imagine someonr asking whether RWTH Aachens electrical engineering msc app requires recomnendation letters when the persin could hav easily checked the program website. Such things are very silly imho and this is why: if you dont put the time and intellectual effort to seatch for what is easily available online, hw do u expect to cope wt the high level of research at the german unis. I also live in Jos and travelled down to lag for certification but i made it a duty to visit the embassy webpage for dates and times for certification. I also read the information for blocked acct on their site. Most of our needs cn b met if we stopped being lazy and just researched before coming up here. We better develop this research attitude before getting to germany as you knw dat profs in germany dnt av much time to respond to legitimate problems talkless of problems dat cn b solved on ur own wt little effort. Peace

why are you behaving this way. Simply google "master in finance(or acconting or whatever) germany" and you will see different schools coming up. Nobody here can start helping you find schools that dont require toefl. Thatis your job. By the way if you cqn think of giving an agemt 150k then you should be able to register for toefl and get necessqry books to prepare..dont be lazy..do thorough internet searches before coming here

Bro, you will not receive a response from most members of this group. This is because your question can be easily answered thru a google search. However, visit the DAAD website to give you an overview of German unis and their requirements. All the best, but try to make pqtient research before coming to ask questions.

My dilemma....i am applying to several schools for admission but I can't get my 3 lecturers to write more than one ref letter each. Pls what do I do or can I just use photocopies of this letters for all the schools?. Guys pls help me out on this.

I advise that you get a single letter from them each addressed as "to whom it may concern" then have them print this same letter on as many letterheads as they can spare and let them sign and stamp. This should solve it. Just ensure that the contents of the letter are not unique to just one school.

thanks guys... i just hope it will still be free to certify tomorrow(thursday) @ the embassy. I will be going from Osun State Insha allah...

Bro, please don't waste your time coming to lagos tomorrow ooo. The embassy only certifies docs from Monday-Wednesday and from 8-11am. So you better go to Lagos on the weekend so you can make it for Monday or Tuesday and remember to take your complete docs original and photocopy with your intl passport and the filled application form of the uni that you are applying to.

Please all can I use a student copy of my transcript to apply?

Bro, different departments in different schools have their own requirements regarding accepted documentation. Even within the same school, departmental requirements differ. So I advise that you visit the webpage of the department that you want to apply to and readup the procedure. However in general, you can only apply with a transcript that is on university letterhead and is also issued by the university.

please can someone that resides in Germany open the blocked account for me? or must it be the Embassy
Thanks.

Bro, you have to open the acct yourself as you are required to put down your own signature in the presence of an embassy official for certification. Also remember to take 4500naira wt you, even tho you may eventually pay 4300. Note that you have to fpill the acct form online and make two copies. Read my earlier post on the kind of admission letter that is acceptable.

Dear All, pls what's the fee for the certification of documents at the German embassy. I read someone saying 1,500 on this thread. I would like to know if 1,500 for a set of documents for a uni or 1,500 for everything. pls enlighten me guys.

The certification is free. You only have to pay if you require the embassy to make phptocopies for you which shouldn't be the case as you should do all your photocopies at home. However rember to take your filled university application form with the originals of your docs and also ypur international passpport and a photocopy. All the best.
Travel / Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by lmuhopeful: 8:43pm On Apr 13, 2015
So I was at the embassy today to open the blocked account and I was attended to even though I have only a conditional admission letter to LMU. So for those who hace received admission letters that state the following: "you have been accepted by our department. However, actual admission is the legal privilege of the international office after a review of your documents", you can always go ahead to use this letter to open a blocked acct instead of waiting for the final official letter. In fact I only had an e-copy of this letter and it was sufficient. All the best

Hi guys. I would like to go and open the bank account at the embassy in a few days or weeks. However I only have an e-copy of my admission letter(in fact the letter states that i have beeen admitted by the department, but my docs still need to be verified by the international office before final admission letter is issued) and not a hardcopy. Would this be sufficient to open the blocked account? Thanks all. Eke40seven, your input would also be appreciated.

Duolingo is very very helpful but may not be enough to learn the language well through self practice. Check my post on this thread from last month downward, I posted something in that regard.
You can of course deposit well above €8040

The middle of the seal was illuminated in the picture so I can't see if anything is drawn in the circle in between the lettered inscription around it. If there is anything drawn (usually a symbol of justice) then you are good to go.
Good luck!

Thank a lot Eke40seven! The seal doesn't have any drawing..lol.. I will keep the house posted.

Congratulations bro. I'm interested in the school but they stated in their website that an entrance examination z compulsory for one to be admitted. Did u take d exam? pls assist me let me know if I should continue with their application or not. Thanks nd One love.

Hi Ogompaul...sorry I overlooked your mesage. Firstly, I applied for an MSc and O dis not have to take an exam. In case you have also applied for an MSc, I suggest that you study the info on the website of the particular department that you have applied to:you may not need to take an exam. However if you have applied for a BSc, then the procedure will be different as you would all be applying to a central office and you would be admitted to the Studienkolleg without an exam. I wish you all the best.

Hi guys. I have been admitted at the LMU Munich. However, the international office have asked me to send my university qualifying documents. I just want to confirm what they mean by "University qualifying documents". I am guessing that they mean waec and jamb results only and not Jamb admission letter. Please if you know about this, kindly help out. I am asking this because i have already gone to the embassy to certify my documents without the jamb admission letter and i am out of lagos now.
