Eke40seven:

Why do you need tomato pastes bikonu when there are fresh ones here for 39 cents. Why do you need groundnut oil when them also get correct sunflower oil, very correct one for here?
You will have to hide your palm oil though or it will be siezed but whichever way, its just 5 euros for a 1L bottle here in any african shop so don't stress (look out for original though).
The most important item in your foodstuffs should be dried fish and correct okporoko (stocked fish), dried grinded pepper, Egusi and Ijebu garri if you love drinking garri, for eba, Gries is a fantastic substitite, if not better and a 29-35 cent Gries (500g) (Weichweizen) from Aldi, Hit or Lidl will give you 4 different servings.
Make sure you buy your thick denim jeans though cos its quite relatively expensive even for the plain looking ones. Save money to buy a good winter jacket, autumn is here and winter is knocking.
Thanks baba. As touching the start of lectures this week, how intensive is it especially for fresh students? I may not travel till sat, which means missing a whole week of classes. How difficult might it be catching up on these missed classes of the first week?

Those wey don travel, abeg make una show face o. Can I go past naija immigration officers with items like palm oil, groundnut oil and tomato paste? Did anyone of you actually go past them with any of these items? Shay na to settle them? And if your bag weigh pass 23kg, dem fit close eye if you 'drop'? Also, is it advisable to 'bandage' your food items from home, since they might want to open and see?

Not funny at all. Attempt 100 questions in 60 minutes. Each question answered correctly carried 2 marks. An incorrectly-answered question gets you minus 1. That is so not the international standard guiding aptitude tests Even NLNG, NNPC and other top oil companies test no hard like this. On top 180k?? Got better stuffs on my plate. I just say make I kuku try am ni, as I get something else to do on the island today.

@lobito007, you once posted that your enrollment deadline is on the 13th of October I.e today. Did you send a letter of extension of your enrollment deadline to the embassy? Or am I wrong about your enrollment deadline?
Nope! I only said lectures begin 17th. Enrollment deadline is mid Nov.

Ja, out of 1431 applicants, about 130 were admitted and 104 accepted the admission. About 80 have enrolled and resumed, expecting 24 more to resume. All will work out just fine for you. Have a safe trip to Munich!
Thanks brother.

Congrats @Lobito,MSPE class TUM WS'16 earnestly await your arrival. You needed to see how the whole class was staring at me while introducing myself during orientation today. I was the only African present.

I pray Nigeria's economy gets better. Six Nigerians and One Burkinababe (7 Africans out of 104 admits) were admitted for the course. Unfortunately, I have only seen myself and much later, the Burkinababe entered the hall (glad Lobito is joining soon). Largely, this is due to the present forex crisis in Nigeria.

Nigeria shall rise again. Amen!!!
Say wahr?? 104 omg! This is magnanimously numreounte! I know a guy who has deferred. Another has travelled. That makes 3 of us attending. Looks like the other 3 may have also deferred. I have forwarded my db alert to the consulate. They only replied my mail of yesterday in which I requested to send the swift copy to them. They said they have been mandated by law to issue visa only by DB alert. They have, however, not sent me AM mail despite receiving my funding mail.

What city are you going to? What date did you do the interview? You may contact the alien office in Germany to know if your visa has been approved.

My niggy! Thanks for your assistance, man! Funny thing was, I was a millimeter close to buying black market @ N520 on monday. The ab0kis had followed me into the bank to receive payment, I had counted the hard curency with my fingers, but the deal fell through when this branch said they had to confirm from the branch where I opened the acct. The bdc men lost patience and stormed out. Little did I know it was for good. imagine the difference- N100 per EUR. That's a total of N809,000 that would have been lost.

It's in Engineering. I would say my case is that of luck meets opportunity. I came in as a permanent residence(federal skilled workers program) as my occupation was in demand in Canada. I got citizenship after 3 years as a PR, it has now recently been changed to 4 years.

Note: I applied for MSc for the same program in Canada but was denied admissions by two schools, and all i got were pg cert/dip which really meant nothing to me as I had a good degree. Even some of my friends cgpa's close to a first class were denied admissions too. Canada has few universities and specialization, so they are hard to get into unlike UK universities.

While my employer in the UK could not sponsor a 3-5 years work permit after the expiry of my international engineering graduate work permit, I had some friends that were lucky as their employers sponsored them, and all now have either indefinite leave to remain or citizenship in the UK.

My UK degree greatly reduced my workload in the regulatory exams here in Canada to enter my practice. That is because UK degrees are very much respected in Canada or Australia. (I had friends that moved there too).

Life is very funny. I have met Nigerians here that came in for post graduate certificate/dip program as far back as 2010, and they still don't have citizenship. They keep jumping from one academic program to another to maintain status. When they realize I came in direct PR from a different country, they are always surprised.
What engineering course did you study, sir? So, in essence, your student job experience was enough for you to be selected in the express entry program?

I arrived in Munich two days ago and it has been a wonderful experience right from departure in Nigeria till date.

- No embarrassment of any kind so far

- Was the only black on-board while connecting Munich from Abu Dhabi. Most Africans I have seen (though few) smile when you meet and some natives have been so friendly.

- Cost of accommodation here is expensive (heard there are very few&cheap student dorms within the city but hardly available) and difficult to get but God dey.

-Transportation system is superb. My best so far is U-bahn.

- Time runs fast in Germany (my personal observation).

... and many more

In all, thanks to every member of this thread. I pray all prospective students will enjoy immense favour.

P.S: This is not my last post here. As much as I can, I will try to help others here. Danke schoen!

Great one bro. Your fellow TUM admit is still stuck here in Naija o. No fx to fund blocked acct.

It's TUM. It has the school logo on it. May not be useful if your school is different.

Damn! That means they will take another 70k or more. God dey sha.
The man told me he doesn't wanna see any other amount apart from what is stated on the DB details. I tried to explain and show him where it's stated on the DB details that 50 eur will go for DB account processing but he wouldn't listen so I just filled another FORM-A and wrote 8040 Euro. I get 100 eur for my dom account so I go transfer 50 eur from it if possible.
I used the same old form. However, with the invoice from my school stating the annual living expense as the latest 8640, I was able to apply for above 8040 and the lady who attended to me said they will deal. Hoping they do.

Thanks my brother. I don top up 100k for them to charge whatever they want to charge. In the end, I just hope and pray it's all worth it. How's Hamburg?
Their rate is so killing. Commission is 2%. Highest other banks do is 1%. I have applied there too. We just have no other option right now.

PS: Why did you not make it 8090 eur to make up for the 50 eur commission for db?

Thanks all for your kind and wise advice.I really appreciate. @Chubhie;God bless you for putting up that piece together, indeed such a wise God we serve. But y wld i pray to God for 3solid years to have feelings for someone, did everytin possible for me not to lose this great guy,I TRIED I REALLY TRIED,yet nothing happen?. I really cant go deep discussing that relationship bcus he is a nairalander(he might put one or two tins togeda and figure out its me),but just picture NO SINGLE FEELINGS AT ALL,NONE THAT CAN EVEN MAKE A MARRIAGE WORK FOR 24HRS hence i treat him as i want, even tho im not a bad person dat treat people anyhow.
You seem like you have set your standards too high, which underlines why you find it difficult to develop feelings for a man. What is your love language? What about a man makes you tick? Which of these things are lacking in the men you find it difficult developing feelings for? You mentioned the fact that an ex was just perfect for you, yet you could not develop feelings for him. What else are you looking for? It appears you have no clue. If this ex was perfect, why did he become an ex initially? Examine it critically- if a guy, especially one that you had dated, was by your assessment, perfect, why could you still not develop feelings for him after you reconciled? At least, you were in a relationship before. Did you never love him the whole time? Do you even know what love is? Have you ever fallen in love? Do you know what love feels like? Do some soul searching. Your talk of how you could not develop feelings, especially for suitors you thought were okay, is the type a teenage girl who is just trying out dating would come up with. You stated that the ones whom you love don't love you and the ones who love you, you do not love. That is a natural phenomenon and it is not peculiar to just you. So, if this has happened to virtually everyone, dont you think that there is a possibility that a lot of thriving marriages started out with unmutual feelings that later blossomed into mutual feelings over time? You are praying for someone you will have feelings for before you get married. You think it is every prayer God will answer?? What if such a man never comes. You would rather watch the ones who truly love you slip away? Not wise, if you asked me. You are a 27-year-old lady! Think and act like one!
