@MzYemie:

I cant say thank you enough. May God bless and meet you at your point of needs. The guy got 8th sept for me, thats about 3 weeks to my edd.
I also want to say thank you to all of you that has reached out to me. I pray this time, my visa will be approved.

Ps: the appointment letter with the doctor is 29th aug and my intended date of travel i filled on the form is 27th aug. i have submitted the form already. Does it matter? Is it possible to fill another form and change the intended travel date or i should leave it like that?
The VO would most likely ask you what has changed from your last interview so, have your points. Wish you the very best.

Good mamas in the building, my wife was at the embassy yesterday

Let me explain her account details here pls, she bears my name on passport as mrs abc but she has not changed her acc name cos she still bears miss xyz and this xyz name she have with her old passport of this name. Also, her own account has slim amount of money while mine has the larger sum (times 6 of her account bal.) cos I'm the on sponsoring the trip but the VO does not request for mine.
@ all gurus here what do you think she should do at this point cos I'm think she should reapply or we both apply together cos we don't have time again cos she will be due by late oct. We got expedited app for this, can we still get one again and should I apply with her or let her go alone?

Whatever you guys suggest is final

Thanks for your contribution so far.
@ O'cheldas
No, you cannot get another expedited interview. Your option might be to follow the path of those trying to contact someone for a closer date. I would suggest you apply with your wife.

The idea is that you have to prove beyond reasonable doubt to the VO. Try not to leave room for doubt by covering any supposed loophole (acct name shld match with name on passport....etc). Try to think of loopholes in your application and haven successfully blocked them, pray to God to see you through.

Good day all, guess you all are having a wonderful day? Sadly, i got a mail from the us embassy that my request for expedited interview was denied. They didnt state reasons. I have just given up on everything. I am thinking of canceling the normal appointment which is 4 oct because i will put to bith befor then. Just want to say thank you for the responses i got and i wish all expectant mums a safe delivery
I think i know how you must be feeling. However, someone on this thread mentioned something about someone that can help get a closer date. Search and PM the person if road dey for there.

Hello house, I have been following this thread for months now, but I need to share my testimony.
I went for my interview with my wife and daughter and this was how it went.

me answers firmly
vo...will you be going for any medicals during your stay in the us
me nop.
vo congrats, pick your visa in 2 working days.

but the truth about all of this is that we intend to have our baby in the us, please advise me as we have withheld this info from the vo during our interview.
thanks.
My candid advise is that you send a mail to the embassy stating that you misrepresented and have decided to come clean. Tell them that you do not mind attending another interview to show that you have enough funds (assuming you do) and have made adequate arrangement with a Physician in the US (hoping you have). Tell them you didn't know that it was not a crime to birth in the US but realized your mistake after and decided to come clean (hoping you recently realized).

Part 3

I thank all who have contributed to this thread. You have helped my wife and I in making our dream come true( knowing fully we would give birth successfully in October). I will not mention names as i run the risk of omitting some. I will feel bad about it. They are too many to mention but you know yourselves. God bless you.
Again, sorry for the long post but why am I doing this?
Because I drank to my fill from this spring of knowledge; and to ensure that this spring does not run dry so that others can drink too, I am contributing in my own little way or ‘giving back’.
To those coming behind me and are probably in ghost mode like I was since December 2014, you probably stumbled on this thread like i did. I just googled to find out any information i could get on giving birth in the US and i came across this wonderful forum. I ‘jacked’ from Page 1 of part 1 to date like i had another professional exam to write (even after we got our visas). I started reading before i got married and took lots of notes. I remember reading the thread in the hotel during our honeymoon sef, lol. My point is, try your best, if you can, to read as much as you can from here. I know it’s not easy but the information is priceless. I’ve never had the cause to PM anyone. You may open a book at the middle page and get some information but not as much as the one who reads from the beginning or the one who at least reads some previous chapters to find the authors context.
To those who have been delayed one way or the other; whether delay in fruit of the womb, miscarriage, visa delays etc don’t lose hope. Keep the dream alive. Our dream was delayed in early 2015 when my wife had a miscarriage. It was delayed again when she the next pregnancy didn’t come quickly. It was delayed again in June when our visas were denied but God is still on the throne and no more delay by God’s grace. In all these, I kept on reading and today we are here. I no wan do 2mins for POE na why i dey do Form A on Monday to pay all our medical bills plus i am now a legitimate PTA hussler to hold some good cash. Next will be our successful POE story by God’s grace.
Knowledge is Power and Prayer with Persistence is the key! God Bless!!!
Congrats! You need not apologise for the long post. It is an experience for others to draw wisdom, knowledge and encouragement from.

Lest i forget, the CBP officer at Houston POE told my wife to ensure she visits the US again before her Visa expires else they would be of the impression that she came to the US only because of citizenship and would be deported.

If it's the husband I married, you will just stay there and don't come back. Me that he has been suspecting of wanting to run away (I don't know what I did o!) I will now not put his name on birth certificate! Haaa! They will call village meeting on my head. Common passport I am still using maiden name, he still gives me side eye glances!

Abeg oo, please put your husband's on birth certificate o! These 9ja men like tvegas, oloking, austine2020, and co that have used land money to finance missionary journey.

Me that I am darker that shadow, I have oyinbo baby, whose only semblance with her dad is her thumb grin and maybe teeth in the future , then I now omit ogas name from birth certificate... Lai lai!infact her middle name is his first name! Crest him all over her! there's no vacancy in my father's house.
LMAO!! Speaking for myself as a man, it is a serious crime o!

Good morning my beautiful people. Abeg I NEED help o. Ticket is not smiling at all. Can anyone advise on how I can get to Houston first week of September without emptying my account. Abeg I take God beg una.
My advise, do Virgin to Newyork then take a local flight to Houston. It is cheaper and the distance is shorter.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by lobus: 6:38am On Aug 06, 2016
My wife arrived Houston successfully yesterday. The flight (Emirates) took forever.

Houston POE experience

CBP: Why are you in the US?
Wife: To have my baby and vacation
CBP: Why the US?
Wife: Because i need to access the best Medical care available
CBP: That is what every Nigerian says
Wife: Well, i am speaking from a professional point of view, being a Doctor.
CBP: Meaning there are no good Doctors in Nigeria?
Wife: There are great Doctors in Nigeria but our facilities are not the best.
CBP: Have you contacted any Physician?
Wife: Yes. *attempts to bring out correspondences from her small purse*
CBP: Just had me all the documents with you. Reads through and says 'I see you are using Dr .....' Almost all Nigerians use either him or Dr. ...Have you applied for Medicaid yet?
Wife: started laughing
CBP: Why are you laughing?
Wife: Because i don't need it and besides, it is illegal. I would pay my bills myself.
CBP: How much do you have on you?
Wife: $3k cash, $4k Travel card (PTA) and other credit cards in my local currency.
CBP: Why did your husband not come with you?
Wife: He is very busy. However, my mum came in today with a different flight and she is already waiting for me.
CBP: Stamps wife in for 6 months.

No secondary inspection because she did not carry any foodstuff. She had her mum carry them for her to avoid unnecessary delays.

Thank you guys for all I've learnt here.

Regards

For Stanbic, you will have to apply at least 3 weeks to your trip as a requirement
Except if you know someone high up to get it in 2 days.

Seriously hunting for PTA.
Sure. It is a special dollar denominated card that substitutes for cash PTA.

Access Bank consummated PTA for someone today at N338/USD. They don't give cash but Travel Card, loaded with the USD purchased.

Hello everyone!!

I feel great been here and i have really read a lot...thank you so much.
Please i really do need someone to guide me in my quest to deliver abroad.../(Houston Texas)

Firstly, i am a first time mum, and i applied for a visa for the first time in june this year and had my interview on 3rd of july i think but was refused.. my bump wasn't visible as at when i went, but i told them i was going on vacation to spend time with my brother who is in US navy before his 9month deployment but was refused... our intention was to give birth there if i had gotten it.

I just re-applied and want the interview to be in Lagos this time because my first was in ABJ and i got early september.....but the thing is my bump is very obvious and can't be concealed... i asked someone assisting me and he said i would have to conceal it otherwise it would contradict with my first application.... i am really confused.... can someone please help me and guide me on what to do.... and the steps....Thank you @justwise @firstymum and all please help a sister. God bless
You made a mistake at first but there is redemption. Please post your interview transcript so advise being sought can be very good.

Section 214(b). Something about not having strong ties in Nigeria. Was surprised because he didn't see my burden of proof where I included my family photo to show I have two kids and a husband here as well as a Bank job to come back to.
Reapply and get an appointment date after which you should request for an expedited interview. Once the expedited interview is granted, you would be given a closer date.

If you can swing it, try and be interviewed by a lady and not a man. Ladies seem to be more sympathetic to a pregnant woman's plight. (This is just an observation)

My dear people,

I was seriously praying that I will be typing my testimony today, but it is not to be apparently. Please I need your candid advice as to why I was denied today. I have been preparing and reading every post you all and I gained a lot so I really thought I was prepared. My visa class is B2

My transcript:

VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning
VO: Asks for my passport, I handed it over. He typed and typed and then, why are you going to US?
Me: To have my baby
VO: Where in US?
Me: Houston
VO: Why Houston?
Me: Because I have friends there and the Doctor I will be using is based in Houston
VO: How much did you budget for the cost of this trip?(Trying to use his exact words)
Me: $13,153.00
VO: What do you do for work?
ME: I work in a Bank, blablabla Bank precisely
VO: Opened my passport over and over and then typed and typed and then brought out the blue paper. ''Unfortunately you are not qualified for US visa, read the blue paper .........I just went blank sha. Dissapointed and sad.

Please I need your urgent help and advice. The paper says I cant appeal the decision so that means I have to pay again and schedule and interview. Please is there a way I can also expedite the interview because this one took me more than a month from the date of scheduling. I am almost 30weeks into my pregnancy. Appreciate all the help.
What is the reason for refusal on the blue paper?
