I'm new to NSE investment. I bought Dancem at 763.70 with all I the money had now it's 686.70 made losses already. I understand It might rise or fall but the challenge now is that I want to sell it and the broker I used, Trove can't sell as they said there is no buy order yet. what do I do?

One stock analyst I know in Lagos always hate the type of stocks I buy but when he discovered I have made much money through those stocks, he is now seeking advice on what he should buy from me.No be juju be that? grin grin grin

Your case is you bought Dangote cement aby?
No worry, we are in the era where SWOOT stocks are going to hold our ASI for a very long time.I am sure your Dangote cement will touch #1,000 and above in this 2024/2025 but as a beginner, you should have started with kobo stocks with good fundamentals. They always help people with poor financial background to build wealth.

Anyway, you are a big man.Big men always look for big things in the market.Dangote cement always pay dividend.Try to fill the form for dividend.i won't advice you to sell because you are already on loss and you will still loose more if you sell now.

Those type of broker you are using will never help you. They will still charge you extra money because they are not licensed brokers (member of Nigeria stock exchange)

Put more effort to access this Nsempa forum always. You will get to improve with time.

Ask for brokers here, I am sure you will get quick responses from some of them here.Majority here use Morgan capital but I don't use them because their charges are too cheap.I don't like cheap services.

Uncle Tee!!! Is this how Berkshire built his portfolio size? Honestly, I was hoping Transcorp will morph into something like that, but has instead continue to run Transcorp as a creche and nursery department. grin

Or is it the Omaha way? grin

If he wanted to be fair, he should have reconstruct the outstanding shares and reduce to 10billion units and relist the stock at #60 then the stock will find it's way to #500 level to the benefit of him and his shareholders.

CASE DEY COME OOOO.

Away from transcorp. I once said the market will not crash because politics is now at play in nse.The spokes person for the government has already announced 100k ASi as part of this government success which they will put on thr score card
The president had meetings with the billionaires not long. Then Tony fired the first shot. The next is alhaji to fire his own via listing of the food and subsequently other companies. The third may be wale, likely hood of not delisting oando. This 3 big entities can push ASi to 150k by end of the year.Remember the government wants all the dollars it can get to stabilise the naira. Asi at 150k will attract FPI into the country....this is me thinking aloud .

At least with the listing of the power subsidiary, market will welcome the stock with a week bull and Asi will move back to 104k.

My champion will be on a daily 10% all through the week.I was in a dream last night.i don't know if it is malaria oooo, Heineken sealed the exit deal at #17 and champion brew was on a steady rise up to #15 in that my dream last night.

Another way of looking at this Transcorp issue...

Should an investor who rode Transcorp from 1, 2 or even 3 naira all the way to 14 naira complain too much, considering how much return on investment within such a short period?

They can complain but not too much. All they need do is pray for opportunity to run with their profit on Monday morning.

There will be panic sell on Monday but before you sell, I will advice you wait and see how the listing will be done.
All eyes on Tony now.
He has to keep Transcorp price afloat because of criticisms and court cases which will arise as a result of this power listing

I want to believe that current shareholders of transcorp will benefit by way of price appreciation in the share price considering the close to 2 trillion naira market capitalisation of the new transcorp power.
Dividend might not be attractive but that is the way of the billionaire on NSE.

Pls can you shed more light on the bolded....
Are you saying that current shareholders of Transcorp plc will benefit from the power company through price appreciation.
Is it through direct or indirect holding?

Transorp owns 51% of transcorp power

Oga better for them to allot shares for shareholders as they did in ucap and Afriprud than Transcorp to own 51% of the power. How much dividend do you think shareholders will get in their 51% holding considering the huge os?
51% ,Tony and his group will still embezzle as admin expenses.

I am not the Octopus but we just might see some shareholders of Transcorp dumping their shares to buy Transcorp power

If dumping Transcorp shares to buy Transcorp is possible, good for them.

At least Transcorp shareholders should be allowed to get the stock at the official listing price 240 or alot some proportion of the shares to them which the registrar has failed to do before this listing.

They decided to do it secret to avoid court case from the shareholders which will distract the listing. Can shareholders stop this listing on Monday?Yes, they need to petition Tony, sec and other regulatory bodies this weekend.

What is the essence of being a shareholder when you don't benefit from the goodies.

Let me enjoy champion people wey dey think good of shareholders.

Wale, Tony and Wigwe are greedy people.

Ote, Alhaji, Rabiu better.

At least we know those to avoid and those to dine with.

Tony will not allow Transcorp shares to fall easily to avoid intimidations but certainly it gonna fall below #7 self as time goes on because the remaining subsidiaries can't service the 40B os .He has used Transcorp group to achieve so many aims from the FG and will still do more with Transcorp.

OK boss.Do you think you will see transcorp power to buy on the floor till it get to like #500.You will only see crossing that will be pushing it up.
My concern is we have been on this bus since it was listed at #7.50 .And anytime something good happens, you don't benefits directly.
Hotel went without any direct benefits to us.And if this still goes the same way it will be too bad.
Imagine seeing transcorp power at #1000 and transcorp plc you started as parent company struggling to reach #20.

Transcorp shareholders should pray to God to receive allotment of T power shares which is late already.

Their should be a formal announcement to this and Transcorp placed on technical suspension but this process was bypassed.

Do you think this can happen after listing on Monday?

The only good news is that Transcorp will be the majority shareholder of Transcorp power which will lead to increase in dividend payment.

Do you think Transcorp can pay up to 50kobo dividend to shareholders going forward considering the huge OS?

That gate must open for me on Monday morning by hook or crook. It is a do or die affair.

Oga you can't get it except by crossdeal.

Instead of you to labour in vain in champion, why not use this opportunity to get TIP in these low prices.
It is the only quoted company in it's sector. The current situation of the country doesn't stop them from making money. They are in long term contracts with big companies, oil companies and Govt agencies.

TIP.....TIP......TIP.
Anything can take this stock to #10 because it is a stand alone stock on growth board.

In my mind, i was like:, "Hope say Locotrader never cut liver begin sell him ChampionBrew shares oh unto say the price dey fall?" I no know say you still dey buy in observance of the golden rule :Be Greedy When others are Fearful and Be Fearful When Others are Greedy grin grin grin.

I was still buying until the gate closed yesterday.............10,088,670 units locked and loaded!! grin grin What a way to start the year grin grin

That means both of us have locked 5% of the 3.5% left for minority shareholders to trade....

I saw how the stock was trading at 3.60 and I decided to buy more at that price till it came down to 3.46 and 3.45.

Home activities stopped me from getting the 10m units I targetted but no wahala.Lets manage what we have.some don't even have a unit and some are scrambling to enter but to no avail.

Loco your grace dey very strong. It is just the volume for this your picks. Look at champion total bid na just 6 million plus

The Bible says....whatsver you lay your hands on shall prosper.

There are things I check before entering a stock.once those things are okay, I don't worry myself.Market must do justice at it's time.

Don't worry yourself on champion for now.its illiquid already because of the free float, is it now you can get it?

It's already padlocked and keys thrown away.
Until we know the price Heneiken is exiting their shares in champion. All I can see now is green green with small volume daily.Who go gree sell?If 20m units appear now as sell, you no go see the bid that will swallow it self.....

The challenge now is to know at what price to exit

Heineken can't exit champion at less than #10.
We minority shareholders with only 3.5% can't sell below 12.

I will prefer Enjoycorp to buy us at a #20 or we ride the company with them.

Champion is locked. No room for entry now.
Loco and those who heard my call are enjoying our ride now though I am 4% down at current price but no whala .Next week will be green all round

Do you hold Champion shares? @Locotrader, are you seeing the update on your champion? I did some digging and i am seeing a name associated with this EnjoyCorp Ltd which is Ehimare Idiahi.

I dug further and found out the guy is a Venture Capitalist who was also involved in buying Polaris Bank.... Locotrader, ChampionBrew is no longer delisting...........Money must truly be made this 2024/2025 grin grin grin

Thank you my brother.
I did a thorough check before investing in champion brew.Raysun must tell us how much they are selling the 86.5% of their shares to Enjoycorp.
Whichever way the minority shareholders who own 3.5% of the shares will make some money whether delisting or no delisting.

Now I live in the East, I have seen a good business which is palm oil production.Right now we are setting up a palm oil mill. This business is taking more of my time.

The bread business is now a partnership business.I can't handle it alone.its doing great

A bag of cement 4 months ago was 5k but today it is close to 8k. But some of our ogas are still waiting to pick Dangote cement at 2018 price of 160 and zenith bank at 16. I won't be surprised if some of the prices we see currently will eventually turn out to be the bottom for the year.

Since it's nearly impossible to time the market, me I dey follow people wey know road, like Otedollar who decided to load up Dangote cement in January, which is traditionally NOT a buying season.

If FG target is to stabilize naira/usd at 1,200 official price then expect prices of stocks to rally more.

When we say no bear nobi joke.It is only pull back for traders.Thr can only be bear or beer when this government is confirmed to have failed like pmb government. Thr economic policies are still work in progress. And can only be properly judged from next yr.And I believe thr are signs they may get it right maybe not excellent. Dollar will not be that lucrative as per speculation rather it will remain stable at what price is what I don't know.

On another note I will join this traders next Month on my jijo portfolio to be collecting #2 and #3 in some of this shares when they create the atmosphere for pull back.We are all here to make money.

No bear is happening because reality on the street, you will realise if you sell and move out the cash it cannot do anything for you.How much is land in good area in my state capital owerri now.A bag of cement don reach #8k. How much are cars from 2015 up now. This will tell you prices on nse has not caught up with prices on the street

Is the index an accurate reflection/representation of market price movements at the moment? With very few stocks having very strong influence on the ASI, and the other stocks having little influence on the index, the loss of roughly 25% in many stocks has hardly been reflected in the changes to the index.

That story of the tortoise and the mermaid whereby the tortoise was roasting and eating baby fishes, but always showing a well-marked fish as an indicator of an ongoing good job comes to mind.
