dualprince: @logbon72 Nt at all bro...Just search for MAIDEN PRESSID SCHOLARS on Facebook. |
dualprince: Has anyone been paid the 40k? We need to start paying application fees asap. ThanksPlease don't tell m you're waiting for them before you start paying application fees. Start ASAP even if it means borrowing ![]() |
Robertnnaemeka: Hi, did u work as one of the INEC adhoc staff during the last general election? I asked the question because of the ease with which u provided the sort codes of bank branches in the country. It had occured to me INEC demanded it be provided. Yours truely was one of the adhoc staff. Hope u wouldn't mind my digression.Very funny, I did not participate in the last election. I got the list from a friend when we were asked to supply sort-code in school. I've had it since. ![]() |
Hello, has anyone sent his/her bank account? Here's a list of sort codes https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Av57ifwKQGIYdGFBRk41YVJDMVhLWm9tT2l2SFRMTlE#gid=0 |
Nanaiky: Nice meeting u guyz @ last,...ok,nw,frm nairaland to facebook, who has joined the group or liked d page,i couldnt locate anything like pressid or is it yet 2 b formed?....anyone wif any ideaI have joined the group. @ijanarado, please make the group "closed" and not "secret". People can't search for it as it is. @PhatIon yeah, I'd have loved to meet you, but we were in a hurry not to miss our flight. |
dualprince: @ijanarado Were u d lady who gave d speach 2day? ijanarado: So so great to see all of us life today. PeralAdams, phatIon, Silence, logbon, nanaiky etc. God bless us allyeah she is. It was nice seeing y'all. I'll share a document with bank sort codes with you guys soon. |
rexel99: SCAM, whole PRESSID stuff reeks of nepotism and corruption. i know of a guy that scored 76, he was not shortlisted among the successful candidates, yet some other guy with 69 was shortlisted. Congratulations to the truly successful ones. kennyone: Well I don't want to raise dust but I believed grads from engineering were the top scorers in the test. I scored 64 but didn't make it while someone that scored 65 from the same discipline made it. That's a fair comparison right? But what happened to another candidate from same disciplline with a score of 71? That leaves so much question unanswered. I think NUC had better come out to disclose the criteria used for the selection. As regards the issue of corruption and selection, I quite agree cos someone just told me of how his friend pressed the necessary button to secure the scholarship. You can never take that away from anything in Nigeria if you still love your job cos the powers that put you there will still have a say in whatever you do.@rexel99 I guess someone already mentioned that SSCE result was supposed to take up to 30% and the Aptitude test, 70%, so it's possible your friend does not have a very good SSCE result. I had 65, but I had about 6 A1s in my SSCE, so it's possible that was what favored me, but truth be told, I don't know anybody but God, so may be we should ask for the crieria first before criticizing. |
Hey Guys, I sent a mail to NUC and the thread is below: My Message Dear Sir/Ma,Their response: Dear Taiwo,All the best. I hope to meet those who made it on the 8th. It'd be nice to connect. |
truz: Hi everyone,Thanks for this. I really appreciate this. God bless you real good. |
Hey guys, please where do we go from here? Has anybody called NUC to get more info on admission and when resumption is? Please let's know. Thanks. |
Hey guys, I made it too. I scored 65, I really thank God for this. For those who didn't make it, God will make a way. |
Hi all, while the press thing for pressid (pun intended) is a good idea. I think the right thing to do will be to first contact NUC for the status of the final list. After then it will make sense to go to the press. We shouldn't in too much desperation make these guys look bad or irresponsible. It's possible they are giving their best to this. The NUC bulletins contain some phone numbers. We can start by all planning to call in on a planned date. |
Hello Guys, NITA scholarship is out. I applied last year, but I chose not to go for the interview, for some personal reasons. The newspaper publication is attached.
|
@All are we there yet? Sorry, Is the list out yet? @Immortal, what is uncle Okogie saying? |
pearlAdams: Hapi nu month y'all. May dis thread neva get to 10 pages b4 NUC shortlist....Nairaland Noni...PRESSID Noni...much luv guys |
Sayo14: How come the committee of eminent professors, get so much confused on the criteria for selecting just 100 worthy candidates...I can't stop been optimistic 4 better times 2 come in ds geographical entity called NIGERIA...Let me tell a seemingly irrelevant story, while we were in NYSC camp in Yola, we were supposed to elect a Platoon leader, you needed to have seen the whole tribal sentimentalism that went into the election. As if that was not enough, after selecting a platoon leader, there was a lot of controversy on decision making, simply because of tribalism also. Afterwards someone made a statement and I paraphrase "...no wonder it is difficult to rule Nigeria" See professors or not, a decision like this needs to be carefully made, simply because Nigeria is a very interesting place. If you're using merit, then your model should be clear enough. I really appreciate whoever started this thread, I actually check here about 5 - 6 times a day. |
whizkidy: Guys I learnt the list is ready. Could be uploaded tomorrow or at worst next week monday. Congrats to those who made it.Where did you get your information? |
I'm not sure of the slot thingy with Course, but I'm very sure it's not based on state. i saw the guys that scored 88, and seriously the exam wasn't difficult, but I can accept that it was not a true test of one's knowledge. |
Seriously sometimes some of the web owners don't ever say more than thanks. I guess a simple reward, though not always required is good. I've hacked some Nigerian sites like who wants to be a millionaire online game before using XSS and after telling them about it, they never really called back. Can u send me your e-mail. I'LL like you to help me check out some of my sites. |
