Abagworo: Since you've been to most big cities in the East tell me your opinion about the housing developments in the Eastern cities. Let us leave roads.
why leave roads? I mean, go to Bayelsa for instance; you can see the wholistic development in housing and roads. Though you may want to point the issue of roads to the soil make up in the area, but not a good enough excuse. And just like everywhere else, the issue of waste disposal.
Why do you want to open this harmless, cowardly threads? Is it not better to just look to heaven, say a prayer, then go over to the SW States and attack their governors and leaders anytime they strive to do something better?
Lol. That sounds familiar: leave the villains from your ethnic group and go attack THOSE OF OTHER ETHNICITY YOU HAVE LABELED VILLAINS (meaning they are most likely not even villains in the first place). A recurrent theme; happened in January 1966, still happening as we speak.

http://www.punchng.com/business/transport/travellers-lament-enugus-dirty-environment/

Travellers at the Enugu International Airport have lamented that Enugu State is too dirty and unbefitting to host an international airport.

Some residents of the city also criticised the state government over its inability to keep the city clean despite their persistent pleas.

They told The PUNCH in an interview on Tuesday that the state was getting dirtier by the day and that there was nothing in sight to show that the Governor Sullivan Chime-led administration was ready to remedy the situation.

An Ethiopian-bound traveller, Mrs. Yemisi Dantex, said, “While hovering on air, the impression that comes to one’s mind is a city of sanity, cleanliness and serenity, but as soon as you land, you become overwhelmed with the overgrown grasses surrounding the airport.

“As if that is not enough, as you drive from the airport through Emene enroute Abakpa, what you see are heaps of dustbins spreading through the streets; many insane people and destitute hover for the craps they could get from the bin.”
Apparently it's not only Aba.

But wat happened after d war?
All igbo positions were taken by awolowo n shared to friends/relatives/tribesmen.

ngozievergreen: lets know who is monkey here.
Sb changed d settings on ur fone and had it for 6months. D person was killed afterwards.
.
U collected back d phone and instead of changing back to ur default settings, u continue to use d phone like dat for 43 yrs now.
U actually prefer ur initial settings o but u rather complain abt the new settings other than changing back to d initials even though d fone has been with u for 43 yrs.
If this is not cluelessness, tell me wat it is.
Your analogy is not very elegant. What you forget is, the person that changed the settings of the phone did it to benefit himself. Then somebody else stole the phone and then decided to keep the settings simply because the new settings benefited him more. You taught the Northerners all about nepotism and power play, then you expect them to willingly switch to a more beneficial system for the rest of us? You only have yourselves to blame. They say "if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it", so what were you fixing when you changed the system initially?

By the way what's this lie about the West being hell under Akintola? Is it because he had exposed the large scale Igbo nepotism using the example of University of Ibadan where the new Igbo Vice Chancellor employed 109 Igbos and 3 Yorubas within the same time span? There were unrests in the West that's all. Why didn't you think the North was hell in 1953 when Igbos were massacred in the thousands?
Politics › Re: S-west Governors Consider Yoruba As Language Of Instruction by logica(m): 11:56am On Sep 01, 2013
ngozievergreen: see question.
So, 43 yrs are not enuf to make Nigeria revert to their 'ideal' system?
Remind me how long it took Aguiyi Ironsi to change d govt to unitary?
Nonsense.
Monkey. So you know the ideal system was not Unitary System? So why did Ironsi change it and why were you all backing him when he did eh? You were expecting to be posted to other regions and take over their jobs eh? The hard working Igbo indeed.

Y didnt OBJ, earnest shonekan change back to regionalism, same as d northern leaders?
You are one funny creature. So, the Igbo agenda was hijacked by the Northerners and now you want them to just return to status quo, just like that right? Why don't you finish what you started?

talktimi: youre obviously the pathetic soul here. If you decided to reason a bit, you would realize that i made valid legal points. If you have your own opinion to counter mine or any other here then state it. Without writing an epistle here its clear from my post that the moment we made english our official language in this country, such efforts by our amiable governors will meet constitutional brick walls except the SW has secceded from Nigeria without my notice. Like i said, lets hear what the ministry of education has to say about this first.
Constitutional brick wall how?

THE Federal Government has pledged to protect the country’s multiple languages from going into extinction, just as it vows to continue to encourage the study of French as a second language in Nigeria.

Senator James: 1. Calculus
2. Exponential
3. Logarithm
4. Surd
5. Indices
6. Latitude and Longitude
Firstly, several of these are beyond the syllabus of Primary Schools (the target). All the same:

1. Ìsirò òye
2, 3, 4, 5. Ìsirò pàsí-pàrọ
6. Ìsirò Àgbáyé

"Ìsirò" is the Yoruba word for Arithmetic (a branch of Math) which could be extended to cover Math.

Calculus is the most profound theory in Mathematics. "òye" is the Yoruba word for deep knowledge/intellect.

Exponential, Indices, Surd and Logarithm all fall under Algebra. "pàsí-pàrọ" is the Yoruba word for exchange or substitute/substitution (which is basically what Algebra is all about - exchanging symbols for numbers and vice-versa)

"Àgbáyé" is the Yoruba word for "World" or "Earth".

Secondly, I hope you realize several words in science are actually from the Arab translation and the pointer to this fact is many start with the prefix "Al" (such as Alchemist, Algorithm, etc). There are NO English words for these terms also; and the original Greek/Latin translations had been long lost in the annals of the Dark Ages.

Yorubas have intellectuals and wordsmiths who can within a few weeks provide a diction for seemingly intractable translations. How long did it take Samuel Ajayi Crowther to translate the Bible? Uh huh.

By the way, you can keep the 200 recharge. smiley

Right. The science is mosquitoes are attracted to CO2 and dark colored objects; but the former is more important. CO2 signifies a breathing animal = blood bank for withdrawal. grin

He lost a huge amount of money during his fight with Dangote and Aliko bn the shrewd and calculative man used his influence on the stock Exchange to run down AP shares... that was wia Femi missed the turning....

"hat Zenon, after taking a syndicated loan from five banks, was adversely affected by the global economic downturn in 2008.
Zenon lost N75 billion when oil prices fell from a peak of $147 a barrel, N40 billion through currency devaluation, N25 billion in the capital market, and N50 billion as a result of accrued interest and penalties charged by the banks on the facility"

The aircraft was preordered long b4 2013, it just happened to be delivered and manufactured in 2013.

This can happen to any business man who does not hedge well and someone who has a huge risk appetite... Femi did not know that the stock market is a cartel biz up till now as well. But hes wiser now I guess

Just an off key example The guy that owns Samuel Etos former team (anzhi makhachkala) is a Billionaire and he just started to sell the prized assets of his assembled monopoly football team cos he lost a lot of money a few weeks ago

This is d game of the big boys... u borrow big, u must be a able to service your debt or have enough assets to hedge the loss if u make a bad turn.

AjanleKoko: Where is the 'twice wrestled?' huh

As for the penalty . . . so people clattering into each other is now a penalty? huh
Oh OK, you were busy following the ball and not looking at the upper part of the screen where Alves was trying to make his run and kept being blocked and held by Luis Filipe and he fell TWICE. The incident was actually reported by the Assistant Referee and the Center Referee CONSULTED WITH OTHER OFFICIALS BEFORE ISSUING THE RED CARD. It is all in the video.

In the second incident, I can forgive you because the video was from the wrong angle. You would know how serious the fouls on Pedro were (by both defenders on him) if they were shown from the side and from the front (not the back).

Anyway, ask yourself why no commentaries online didn't find the incidents "questionable"? Even usbcable (a Real Madrid fan and by default anti-Barca) didn't see anything wrong with them but just called them controversial (in the sense that arguments such as this can be raised over the decisions). I even read comments from Chelsea fans (also by default anti-Barca) describing Athleti's style as "rough". One comment in particular said Athleti "manhandled" Barca. It was reminiscent of some of those bad Clasicos against Mourinho's Real Madrid.
