Peace.

Maclatunji, did you hide my thread or it was antispambot.

Maclatunji:
I did, I have already told you to stop bothering to attack Islam whilst disguising to be a Muslim. You will be treated like a non-Muslim if you continue tagging people "orthodox Muslims". This is probably the last time I will respond to such a query from you.
https://www.nairaland.com/1794405/islam-muslims-side-talk-station/30#26881580

In other words, calling someone an "orthodox muslim" is now an offence according to Sultan Maclatunji. Seriously, it will be Maclatunji's own power/arrogance that will kill him one day.

Just google "orthodox muslim" and see how many muslim themselves use that term.

why should there be a section for atheists?
atheism is no religion it just says that someone has no religen

having a subsection for atheists in the religion section is like having a subsection for "people how are not into any kind of sport" in the sport section
its just complete nonsense

Atheism is not a religion but it doesnt stop one from being in a religion. There are godless religions.

Furthermore, what he asked for was a section and not a subsection in the religion section

lol..you'll be completely fooled by some people who type like that...i mean, i can't be bothered with punctuation and syntax on most forums or snws, as long as I'm logged in via mobile..you'll be amazed the rest of the world think like this too. Doesn't take one bit of intelligence away from the poster.

There is a difference between "not bothering with punctuation" and "consistently using commas in the wrong places".

I actually think it is a sign of lower intelligence to be incoherent with misplaced punctuation and syntax

and even a lower level of intelligence to be inspired by incoherence.

That way, pastors wont be defrauding people with tithes in his name, imams wont be marrying underage girls in his name, terrorists wont be bombing people left and right in his name and religious bigotry in his name will stop.

It will also make the average nigerian, who is a religious bigot by the way, to stop and think for himself or herself and not waste away his or her life on the promises of some glorious heaven that religious leaders sell.

No. Our morality is to our master, the creator, and he commands us to do good by loving one another. So we do good to obey our master who commands us to love one another.

There is nothing like being moral to morality, as every man ultimately acts according to selfish interest, at one point or another.

An atheist can prove to another atheist or to another who has open mind and not to one who believes in God. A religious adherent has what they call "faith" - see without seeing , hear without hearing and think without physical proof. As much as you try to use logic to prove the nonexistence of God faith goes against anything logic and true the concept of a God defiles logic.

Dont you just hate it when faith is used to nullify your hard-worked logic?

Ya, internet and ex-muslims (who are vast in islamic theology in raw arabic language) have help alot in decoding otherwise 'encrypted' writings in the koran. Information technology is not a friend to Islam because their history and falsehood are easily exposed, hence most Islamic countries are censoring internet access to their teemingly youthful population.

The days of ignorance of Islamic polito-religios ideology is almost gone with this age of enlightenment.

Just as it is impossible for an atheist to prove to a religious adherent that God doesn't exist , it is equally impossible for a religious adherent to prove that God does exist but we both have strong indications to justify what we believe in.

FALSE.

An atheist can prove that the christian god, the muslim god and many religious gods do not exist.

However, the atheist cant prove that a god doesnt exist

Rilwayne001: History of the universe is divided into three distinct phases: the start, the expansion, and the end. The Quran deals with these phases in astounding descriptions. The Quran refers to the start of the Big Bang in two short Ayat, presenting an accurate summary to the conditions that led to creating the universe:

Surah 21, Ayah 30 "Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation) before We clove them asunder?"

Surah 41, Ayah 11 "Then He turned to the sky and it had been (as) smoke."

In the first Ayah, Allah declares clearly that the universe (the skies and the earth) was joined together, and then Allah caused it to explode.

See how you have exposed your Quran as a book of falsehoods?

There was no universe before the big bang and as such there was no earth and heavens to "clove asunder".

The Quran is not a book of science. Take your taquiyyah elsewhere

Lol! Women in Nigeria will happily divorce with the right financial settlement. If I quit my career to be a primary Home-giver (a role which saves money for the family) and 10 yrs down the line, hubby decides to get a 2nd wife, I'll leave, once he settles me financially for the fact that I was deprived of working for 10 years and building my own financial independence. Settle me, settle something on any children we may have, I'll leave peaceably.

Most selfish men, however, want a 2nd wife, will tell 1st wife to leave with nothing (after years of sacrifice) and will complain of being "afraid of women attacking him". Hilarious.

I do not support polygamy, neither am I against it as long as all the parties involved do not have issues with it. What I just find interesting about this post of yours is that you want to believe there's no happy polygamous home and choose to ignore the testimonies of those who have had good ones to focus only on those who have experienced bad ones. Remember the purpose of the thread is not about condemning polygamy, or tell which ideology is inferior, you can start another thread for that debate. we all can argue from now till eternity, but it will not stop polygamy as many women still willingly accept to marry other women's husbands irrespective of their religion or cultural beliefs.

The only polygamy close to me (apart from that of my grandparents which I don't care about) is that of a distant aunt who is a christian, she divorced her first husband with 2kids and willingly agreed to be a second wife to a man who was having child bearing issues with his wife. The wife was not aware till my aunt's edd was close. Did I hate my aunt for ruining another woman's happiness, yes, but if she didn't, another woman would have glady accepted.

At the end of the day, the fault of polygamy rests on we women's shoulders because we encourage it. If women detest polygamy so much, we wouldn't have hundreds of women happy to be side chics , baby mamas and second wives to married men, thereby hurting women like them. We can only speak for ourselves

The party that deserves the 'pity' is the first wife for the betrayal in a situation where she didn't sign up for it(religion or what what) but at the end of the day, she also has a choice to stay or not.

That being said, Op, I m still hoping you'd come back.

Tell me what a good polygamous house looks like? A woman being satisfied when her husband is sleeping with another woman?

The first wife runs the risk of losing the house/assets she built with her husband if she dies to another wife
The second wife runs the risk of being treated as lesser being to another woman in her husband's house.

If you say that we see polygamy around because women like it......
one then can argue that we see prostitution because women like it......

You forget that men too are a part of polygamy.....

It is an attitude thing. Some can choose to see the worst that could come out of it, but to each his own.
