Idi Amin you might as well slam your head against a brick wall.
It goes like this: god is powerful but he won't intervene because it will go against our freewill which he generously gave us so that we can choose between the good he created and evils he did not create even though he created everything including the imperfect man in his own perfect image. One day he realised that the imperfect image of his perfect self that he created is not so perfect after all and decided to send his son to these imperfect creatures to torture and kill. Why? Because a na.ked jewish babe ate an apple in a garden a few thousand years ago after speaking with a snake.
Reason with someone who believes that. Even phsychiatric asylums may think twice before admitting such a person. |

Ezeufi: Nigerians are supposedly the most educated people in sub saharan Africa. On the grounds of the opinions of most in this forums, it is becoming apparent that the education system in Nigeria is fraud. If educations has failed to enlighten people to perceive life in rational ways rather than tribal, then clearly those who argue that "western education" is sin should have their arguments listened to. I may disagree with boko haram and their argument about what they call western education, but I equally think there are far too many flaws in the so called western education and its applicability in Africans lives. It is time now we African improvise our own education systems designed to tackle african issues and improve african lives. The education system, which I call colonial if I may, was designed for by Europeans for europeans and it evolves in the same pace as europeans/americans socio-economical advancement. Africans and Africa is not a european outpost and therefore there is a need to rethink the whole educational strategy if Africa is to move on. If education makes you so proud that you start viewing yourself as a pure/superior human/ethnic over another, then that education is fundamentaly not only flawed but also destructive. The education that makes one think it is impossible to be an igbo and muslim, or a hausa and christian, then that education is wrong. It has nothing to do with education. It's genetic. Nothing wey you fit do nyash make im no smell. |

So it's stir fry, not deep fry? |

Dear Ogoamaka99,
My prayer is for the WRATH. I need it. I want it. Can't you understand. If your god can hear you please ask him to send his wrath my way. I don't need his mercy nor any other thing. Satan is enough for me. I only need the wrath to be complete.
On the other hand, stop with isreali fairy tales, igbos have enough of their own. |

Maross: Hmm, as much as I detest the senseless and wanton destruction of lives and properties in the north, I also don't agree to the expulsion of northerners from the south. The best way to go is dialogue, convening a national conference as canvased by reputable nigerians. You cannot dialogue with madmen carrying bombs. Best way is to fight fire with higher fire |

@ Gbawe. Do you live in a dreamland or what? The same constitution that guarantees equal division of resources also guarantees security for every nigerian wherever they may choose to reside in nigeria. Either the constitution upholds all it it is meant to guarantee or it is null and void.

Calling others parasites, yet millions of your people are in the north and west, stubbornly living there even as the locals made it clear that they dont want them. Did your people sow anything there? and u have the guts to call others parasites. What a shameless hypocrite. We will go as soon as your people agree to divide Nigeria. If you don't need us why do you want to be with us? We have made it clear we don't want to be with you. The ball is in your court. Parasite. |

The north and the west have nothing. I mean exactly nothing. zero. dadashi. They need to pillage and steal from the east. The sad truth is that the SS because of their fear of their igbo brothers (and also beacause of foolishness beyond comprehension) carried their oil resources and gave to the malams and ofemmanus. Now things are changing and you want the east to demostrate. Shege. Any igbo that goes into the street is either foolish or lazy. His mama needs to be investigated to know which tribe the paternity came from and send him back there. Igbo people listen. Whether fuel = 500 or 1000 naira per litre, we will survive it. We have survived worse. In fact we will come out better from this situation because of our industrious nature. Start making plans to build refineries in the east for oil export because many many countries need am. Leave the subsidy beggars. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Was Mary Really A Virgin? by LogicMind(op): 12:41am On Jan 10, 2012 |
Amyr: I am not writing to win but to express my own opinions in as clear way as i can. No intellectual, not even the Emmanuel Kant, who, during the enlightenment, refined the pure doctrine of reason, advanced a logical argument devoid of bias or sentiment. Reason is not a master but a servant, meant to advance our emotional connection, however right or wrong it is. That being said, let us not confuse deductions conceived of preconceived subjective motives with a stated fact, unless, in the spirit of objective determination, we find it fall short of the truth(so much of confusion on that). To say Mary is not a virgin can be likely if we remove her from the context of the jew she is and from the spontaneous flow of the story from that of an orthodox jew to that of a post Marilyn Munroe world where girls are taught to cast off all moral restraints and follow their feelings. Your view is by no means novel-progressive christianity, differing from their fundamental counterparts have posited your views immodiately after the second world war. The Church of Satan even carried it to the most liberal limit. My opinion is that, like the Letter to Gracia, It is most reasonable to subject oneself, first, to the true emotional and rational import of the message before we take a rational comment. I take it that when a member on this forum was reffered as a fool, a mental conclusion was reached as to the answer(although in reasoned arguments have no final conclusion, The Bible was submitted for scrutiny but for other quoted texts, like the sixth and seventh books of Moses, there was no such rule applied that got me thinking whether we are interested in the humour of intellecual quest or in a subjective rallying for supporters to a preconceived cause). Let us see Mary, in her world before we make a conclusion-my subjective experience of the objective sees much of good in that, ortherwise christianity, judaism and even the books of Moses reffered to fails. A tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. W. Shakespeare |
