Politics › Is Corruption In Nigeria A Problem Of Politicians Or The Justice System? by lomaxx(op): 5:28pm On Jul 10, 2024 |
I think the active participation of corrupt politicians in government is an indictment of the criminal justice system, and not necessarily the politicians (based on the legal principle of presumption of innocence).
If the politicians have corrupted the justice system, it still doesn’t change the liability of the stakeholders within the justice system.
So the question remains: is corruption in Nigeria a problem that politicians created and sustained or is it a problem of the justice system ? |

The fact that MBBs is still a big deal makes me laugh
Like candidates still kill for this MBBs of a thing in 2024?
When tech and ground breaking innovation is the in thing now…
Lord show enlightenment to your kids MBBS is the safest career choice you can make. You will "cash out" from the degree till you leave this earth, if you want to. I worked in tech for a while. Enjoyed the money, and the fast paced work environment. But there is just this thing about medicine. If you get it, you get it. When you get to a certain level in life, money becomes a constant. At that level, those around you will relate based on personal attainments. Well, if that is what matters. Meanwhile, there is a "pandemic" of job losses in tech. So many techies are either laid off or can't find work.

I feel my medical dreams are already over. I understand this. However, you will look back on this moment an realise this was a necessary stepping stone. Dust the books and get to work. Bigger problems are ahead. Good luck. |

However there are solutions to this. They simply need to go for marriage counselling. Sometimes I wonder if people think. A woman was intentionally deceived into a marriage by someone with a micropenis and you’re here saying the solution is marriage counseling. The marriage was built in deceit. There is nothing to counsel. |

Health › Re: How Soon Does Lab Test Detect HIV Infection After Being Exposed? by lomaxx: 9:18am On Aug 23, 2023 |
DoctorAyukebot: The Cambridge Dictionary defines exposure as the state of having no protection from something harmful. In the case of Covid people were required to wear masks and social distance irrespective of wether it was obvious the parties around were positive or not.
I don't know if you in the health field but there is a non Occupational Post Exposure Prophylaxis treatment known as nPrEP recommended by the WHO in 2013 to be offered to victims of rape. In most cases the victims dont need to proof whoever raped them was HIV positive. So long as the degree of sexual assault is deemed risky based on the exchange of certain fluids, they get administered Post Exposure Treatment. So yes each time you have unprotected sex with someone whose HIV status you can't ascertain, you get exposed to their bodily fluids and Potentially Exposed to HIV and other STD's Now you’re just pandering. |
Health › Re: How Soon Does Lab Test Detect HIV Infection After Being Exposed? by lomaxx: 2:56pm On Aug 22, 2023 |
DoctorAyukebot: In the case of HIV, having unprotected sex with anyone whose HIV status you can't ascertain as of the time of the sexual encounter is an exposure. Even more damning is the fact that once you sleep with someone whose status you can't ascertain it means in principle you have slept with everyone the have slept with Nah. Science is science whether it’s HIV or Covid-19. HIV Exposure means one has been in contact with the virus but cannot ascertain whether they have been infected. Case in point: HIV Exposed Infants. They are exposed because they are in contact with an HIV-infected mother. Contact with body fluids of an infected person is the only way to get the virus, why should the definition of HIV exposure via sexual intercourse be different? |

Kobojunkie: ... Do you even realize whst love is? It's not those chemicals in your brain that force you into a deluded state. Rather love is a set of rules that make up the agreement by which your relationships are bound by. Once thozs rules are violated, the one who caused the violation is the one said to have no love in the relationship.
In OP'S cases, her husband is the one who would seem incapable of love herr going by his reusable from the beginning to abide by the rules of engagement here. His wife is simply responding after many years of carrying the relationship on her head alone. Make una dey try reason these things well abeg! The marriage is done. |

gare: Please stop this is I am from South South, we don't expect you to like everyone from the south South, GEJ saw how much the subsidy was costing the government and took the decision to remove it, this same people you all are supporting stood and said know, we almost had a regime change because of that, Tinubu came up with formula that you can't remove all of it at once, but gradually and the money saved should be shown to Nigerians what it was used for.
Now same Tinubu has abandoned his on formula and suggestions to GEJ, but rather remove everything ones without any plans on how the masses would manage the great change.
That's what I call hypocrisy, including you playing the tribe card here, we should clap for you because you are from South South and you don't support GEJ, is that the issues here now is everyone not suffering from it, please look at issues like a Nigerian, we don't care about your tribe or location. N3TRAL: I'm a bonafide south south boy but let's face it- based on those figures, APC no too chop Nigeria's money.
What Jonathan's administration spent for subsidy for 4 years is almost double what Buhari spent for 7 years.
If you divide Buhari's figure, it is lower than what Yaradua spent in 2 years and what Obasanjo spent in a year.
APC may have its problems but you have to admit that their subsidy figure is the lowest in the history of Nigeria.
The data also shows that Buhari's major problem may not have been misappropriation of funds but he couldn't run the economy well. The percentage the naira fell during Buhari's era is scary. What you are saying does not make sense because it was the same Jonathan administration that removed subsidy BECAUSE THERE WERE SO MANY LEAKAGES. If you had an iota of sense, what you should be asking is: if Nigerians allowed Jonathan to remove subsidy in 2012, what would the net gains be? |

Also the question of her finding someone who loves her..says more . Either she already has one or someone is wispering something in the left ear. @Op. I dont know if you love that man though. But u dont know him well enuf. What takes his money. Why is he docile.. i mean so many questionsShe neither loves nor respects him. Which is justifiable given her version of events. She's mentally out of the marriage. The marriage is done. |

Kobojunkie: But Nigerians are convinced that they have that down to a T when reality continues to paint us a different picture in regards to the understanding the people have of what good parenting implies. I think most of these issues are socially-derived. People need to delay onset of childbirth for the purpose of confirming partner-fit. Know it sounds crazy but it's better to walk out knowing no child is collateral damage than ignore the fact that the child (or children) is (or are) an inevitable collateral damage to the poor decision-making capacity of non-thinking adults. |

Kobojunkie: They are indeed not always the most beneficial. I sympathize with anyone that has to make a choice between parenting their kids as a single parent or with their spouse. Hopefully, decisions made can turn out to be (at least) beneficial for some parties. Typical case of winning some and losing others. Everyone should ensure to lay a solid foundation for good parenting. Requires conscious effort from both sides. |

Kobojunkie: It typically works to help each side gather their thoughts together before taking what may be a final step in whichever direction is deemed necessary. I can make a reasonable assumption that no one initiates a temporary separation without a plan. It is a classical scenario where the party initiating is trying to hedge their bet against being further involved as a couple. There are several indicators of marital failure and any type of separation is one of them. Anyone who says they’re doing some temporary separation to “clear their head” is just being economical with the truth. |
