PoliticsBuhari Forms Political Party~ Cpc by lomaxx(op): 6:57am On Mar 18, 2010
Buari
Former military Head of State,
Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, has
announced the formation of his
party, the Congress for
Progressive Change (CPC), on
which platform he may contest
next year’s presidential election.
He spoke through a statement
made available to The Nation in
Kaduna yesterday. Buhari, who
said he dumped the All Nigeria
Peoples Party (ANPP) due to
what he described as verifiable
irreconcilable differences, added
that approval for the CPC’s
formation was received from
the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) on
December 28, last year.
The party, Buhari said, was
founded as a solution to "the
debilitating, ethical and
ideological conflicts in the ANPP".
He said he delayed the CPC’s
announcement because he
needed time to consult other
political groups "in the search for
a broad-based platform".
The statement reads in part: "I
wish to announce with a deep
sense of history that my new
party is Congress for Progressive
Change (CPC).
"The CPC was founded on my
authority by my political
associates as a solution to the
debilitating, ethical and
ideological conflicts in my former
party, ANPP.
"Our application for the CPC was
filed at INEC on March 26, last
year, and we got a letter of
approval on December 28.
"I delayed my announcement in
order to give time for further
consultations, establishment and
consolidation of party structures
and also dialogue with other
political parties and groups in the
search for a broad-based political
platform.
"Happily, the CPC has established
Protem Executive Committees in
at least 31 states with the rest
of states now under
consideration.
"The CPC is committed to change
and positive development. We
will continue to interact with
parties that have compatible
ideologies with us.
"CPC will, therefore, support
electoral reform that will lead to
transparently free and fair
election, internal democracy,
efficient management of
resources, reform of the
judiciary, development planning,
empowerment of women and
youths and the promotion of
private initiative and job
creation."
FoodIndomie Noodles Vs Dangote Noodles by lomaxx(op): 2:03pm On Mar 16, 2010
I've eaten Dangote noodles and Indomie noodles and I must say there's a big difference between the duo. Now I won't say which is better or worse, but in your opinion, which has the most quality.

He was not suppose to be there anyway. because he's rich does not make him fit to serve in that post. We need people that will help Nigeria move forward by applying what they know.
HE APPLIED WHAT HE KNEW, THAT,S WHY HE'S RICH. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE ELECTION AND ITS ORGANISERS THAT BROUGHT HIM IN. THE PROCESS WAS WRONG, NOT DANGOTE. SO IF DANGOTE IS FIRED, HE WASN't THE FIRST. WAS HE ?

EducationFriends I Value Your Advice On This Asap by lomaxx(op): 6:45pm On Mar 11, 2010
Friends, I just decided to seek quality advice from you guys concerning something very important to me. Starting a new thread wouldn't have been appropriate but I just have no choice.
In 2009, I took JAMB with first choice in Medicine<university of uyo> and second choice Medicine<niger delta university>. I scored 273 which qualified me for post-ume in both universities. In the university of uyo, I scored 82%<the highest for that year in faculty of medicine>, but when I checked the admission list my name wasn't there. I later went to complain to the admission officer and she told me that my name wasn't in the printout that JAMB sent to them. Puzzled as I was, I demanded to check the printout again. After re-checking, my name was found and she started offering apologies for the oversight. By then, the merit list was already out- unlucky me.
I didn't bother much because I also had admission to study medicine in niger delta university. By then, I had one week to accept the ndu admission or risk losing it- which I did because the expenses for non-indegenes like me was too much for us.
So uniuyo was the only hope I had. When I got to see the original master list, I saw my name in the no. 1 position, but that was not what every body saw. So as it stands, i never had the admission.
Why the long story? I want to give you guys a platform to where I'm coming from. Now uniuyo says the only solution is to paste my name in the supplementary list which hasn't yet been released. You could see how desperate I am, that I can't trust them anymore despite my excellent performance. Well, those who scored a paltry 70% had the admission while I never did.
Friends, where do I go from here. Trust them about the supplementary thing? Or go back and bear the 'toture' of preparing for jamb again? Or think of schooling abroad? Or what?

@POSTER,
Your article may sound highly intellectual to many, but it has one reason too many to raise dusts.
The fact is you don't understand christianity, so never try to complain about what you can't comprehend. In every good thing there must be fakes. Don't you hear about fake doctors, fake surveyors, fake lawyers, they're all over the place. so your view is very biased.
You are relating d scientific prediction of eclipse with your acclaimed 'prediction' of Jesus. Fact is you don't know what prediction actually is. For your benefit nobody predicted Jesus would come again. It's a fact without any iota of timing<that's our belief>.
Einstein was great, yes. but everybody can't be einstein. If every Nigerian were as scientifically inclined as einstein, who would ask questions and who would teach ?
I really wonder what bias you have towards christianity, you claim that's it's the cause of mediocrity. maybe you never knew, every individual<irrespective of race, tribe, religion> is a creator of choice. you make the choice, you have d consequences. christianity isn't d cause of mediocrity, at least d word 'mediocrity' wasn't defined within the limits of any religion.
d article is so biased. i better hold my breath.

Romance5 Traits Of The Man All Women Desire by lomaxx(op): 10:37am On Jan 30, 2010
Have you ever wondered how some guys have a "natural ability" to
meet and attract desirable women?

All these guys share a few common traits. Their secret is they're
unafraid to ACT LIKE MEN. Unlike many guys, these naturals
understand that women WANT guys who take charge and demonstrate
the qualities of the alpha male:
In short, the "naturals" make no apologies about the way they
live their lives. They don't worry about any particular outcome
with a woman.

If she doesn't like something then he knows another woman might.

Now, there is a lot to be learned from following the example of
this 'alpha male' attitude.

Here's why, In the last few decades, society has transformed
what it means to be a man. Through the media and an overly
feminized ideal; we men have been trained to NOT act on our basic
impulses.

Many are afraid to go for what they want because they fear being
labeled a pervert (or even worse).

Instead we waste time SEEKING APPROVAL for our actions. Social
pressures have forced us to be mindful of NEVER offending or
making others feel uncomfortable with our actions.

As a result, men have become AFRAID to pursue women!

When talking to a woman, a lot of guys are worried about doing or
saying the wrong thing.

In fact they're so worried about "getting it right" that they end
up BORING women to tears.

The good news is there's a simple cure, You can become the TYPE
of man who women love:

This is the socially dominant male who is ATTRACTIVE to different
women, while NOT behaving like an arrogant prick.

In this topic, we're going to discuss FIVE traits for becoming
more socially dominant when dealing with women. By following
these rules you'll become more of a naturally attractive guy to
the women you're meeting:

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Rule #1- You're Unique in Your Actions
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

To stand out from the crowd, you have become the unique person
who is desired by ALL women. You can achieve this by radiating
a confident and positive attitude everywhere you go.

This attitude can be cultivated by challenging your comfort zone
and doing things that most guys would dream of doing. A simple
exercise for becoming unique is to do ONE thing each week that's
something you've never tried before.

By regularly challenging your comfort zone you'll have a lot to
talk about with women. And the more *interesting* things you
say; the more interesting women will find you.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Rule #2- You Never Settle For Second Best
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Being a man means you have enough confidence to NEVER let people
take advantage of you. In your dating life, this means only
hanging out with women who ENRICH your life.

If you ever experience drama, you have enough faith in yourself
to walk away without a second glance. Because that's what REAL
men do:

In addition, you never chase after women. Instead, you make them
work for your affection. You know deep down inside that you're a
prize worth fighting for. If a woman wants your company, she's
going to have to do something extraordinary to earn it.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Rule #3- You Have a Busy Life Which Includes ONLY Quality Women
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Like other men, you have a busy life. In addition to work and
family, you occupy your time with exciting activities.

Since your time is important, you ONLY make plans with women who
are fun and interesting.

If you ask a woman on a first date, you make sure it's only for
an hour. That way, if she turns out to be boring, you've
only wasted a little bit of your time.

When setting up future dates, you make plans when it's convenient
for YOU. If she can't meet you when you're available, then you
walk away and find a woman who fits better in your life.

In fact you don't even need to look that hard for a woman,
because you already have a large selection of women who want to
be part of your life.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Rule #4- You End All Phone Conversations First
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

As part of your busy life, you don't have time to stay on a
phone all day.

You have TOO MUCH to do!

Furthermore, you know ending all conversations first because you
know it leaves her wanting more. You know that the busier your
life is, the more she'll want to be a part of it.

On the phone, your primary task is to set up a date. And the
conversations only last for about ten minutes.

This is enough time to set up plans for your date.

If she wants to talk more, you let you her know this conversation
could be continued during the next time you see her.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Rule #5- You Have Fun On All Your Dates
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

The final rule is you have fun on ALL of your dates.

While other guys worry too much about messing up, you take risks
and enjoy the time you spend with each woman. If your date goes
well and becomes more physical, then that's great!

But if it doesn't go well, you're still happy with the knowledge
that you met a great person who COULD BE a life-long friend.

While on your date, you look for every opportunity to tease
your date. If she says something, you twist it around and have
fun with it.

In fact, you often bring sexual innuendos into the conversation.
You have great dates because you're able to flirt and enjoy
yourself.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

I owe appreciation to Scott Paterson who permitted me to do this.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Don't be scared to be the alpha male!!!!!!!!1
