timibanj:and you think you'd continue making it this way? |
lordizak:how? |
Eemeekaa:i wonder if the problem is as you put it , i.e, the original problem you were given to solve or you just made it up. I tried it sha and discovered that there is no algebraic method of solving this, you can only use calculus<so far as i know> for n=0 2^0 + 3^0 > 12^0 for n=1 2^1 + 3^1=5 12^1= 12 So there is a single solution and d solution is between 0 and 1. And there is no algebraic way of solving this. |
prince_1:Since the school is quite 'unfamiliar' , at least in the Nigerian context, I'd advise that you go there for the info yourself. . . Lest you fall into the hands of scammers. |
Increasing your intake of junk foods and greasy foods is not a good way to gain weight. Junk foods usually contain unhealthy trans fats or saturated fats. Even though you need to increase your calorie consumption to gain weight, those calories should come from foods that are good for you. Healthy fats include omega-3 essential fatty acids sources like tuna, salmon, flax, and walnuts. Good sources of protein include lean meats, fish, poultry, nuts, seeds and legumes. Healthy carbohydrate sources include fruits, vegetables and whole grains. It may be easier to eat five or six smaller balanced meals per day rather than eating three large meals, especially if you are not used to eating much at one sitting. Protein powders and nutritional supplement drinks such as Ensure ( compare prices) can be added as in-between meal snacks if you still need more calories. Some protein powders are flavored and only need added water and some others can be blended with your choice of juice or milk to improve the taste. It would also be a healthy idea to add a small amount of flax seed oil and some psyllium powder to add some omega-3 essential fatty acids and extra fiber. Dietary Supplements and Gaining Weight A high-quality multivitamin and mineral supplement is a good idea to make sure you are getting all of the vitamins and minerals you need. Some people find that their muscle mass increases with protein supplements that contain certain blends of amino acids such as creatine (compare prices) and glutamine (compare prices). Some people who are very ill may need liquid nutritional preparations that are available through their doctors. Resistive Exercise To Gain Weight Exercise is also important for healthy weight gain. Resistance training exercises such as lifting weights will help to increase your muscle size. Aerobic exercises such as running and stationary bicycling are better for fat loss and excessive aerobic training may cause you to lose more weight. Resistance training can be done at a health club, gym or at home with the proper equipment. Remember that it can take a while to gain the weight you need, but be patient and continue to choose healthy foods until you reach your goal weight. |
Acidosis:don't tell me you're joking? |
tempest01:aha, there's a problem. What you did, in correct when they are seated in no order. But in this case the 3 guests must be seated together in 7 seats, as in 123, 234, 345, 456, 567 = 3! * 5 ways= 30. Suprised? |
tempest01:Answer first now? It may not be as cheap as u think. D answer isn't important to me. It's d method. Sha, d answer is 30. What's ur method? |
this is on permutation and basic counting principle. In how many ways can 3 guests sit together in 7 row of seats. |
neo_welsh:I'm not in ndu, although i had admission there. I had a better option sha. Still jacking 4 first sem exams, |
neo_welsh:that's quite true. I've just realised that most of the avoidable mistakes i've made so far could have been avoided, had someone put me on track. Thanks all d same. |
[flash=200,200][/flash]OR DON'T WE HAVE NAIRALANDERS WHO'VE PASSED THROUGH MEDICAL SCHOOL OR WHO ARE CURRENTLY IN MEDICAL SCHOOL ![]() |
Use your brains! |
Obi88:whenever jamb releases d data for ORIGINAL UTME RESULTS IT MUST REFLECT. D one you printed before wasn't d original result that's why it never reflected. It can't affect your admission. Just pray hard, and work hard too. You'd make it. |
Obi88:that was last year, yes last year. Actually, there are steps involved, that's where patience comes in. JAmb is going to retrieve ur original application and reflect the changes b4 sending d master list of candidates 2 d university. This process may take a while but definitely before your post ume it'd be out. D ORIGINAL RESULT SLIP card is sold in Jamb offices nationwide. I'd seriously doubt if this year's own 'd be ready by now. |
Hi fellow nairalanders. I study medicine in one of the Nigerian universities in the south south region. This is my 100 level and right now so many questions bug me. I'm aware that most yr 1 students of medicine are pre-meds, which means they haven't yet gotten a feel of what medical schooling in Nigeria is like. I know I have to study hard, but which studying approach is MOST APPROPRIATE for medical school, because I've just discovered that different courses have different approaches to studying them. I'd experienced hands to get me on track on the do s and don't s in medical school because I won't want to have a resit in any MB examination. Also, medical students are notorious for spending long hours on books. Is it really necessary? ? ? Or you just take d main points and move on? ? Are there any real ' SECRETS' {things you must do} to passing through medical school EXCELLENTLY? I'd really love to know. Thanks! |
Obi88:Actually, that's how it'd be till you check your result with the original jamb result slip. I actually did ' d change of course' stuff, that's how it was till I used d original result slip card . . .and. . . . . wow d change reflected! Hope that will settle you down? |

sha, that's what you expect from beta males, we have them around. . . . .but, there are ways of shoving some 'beta males' down the bin without straining nerves. . . |
You sound desperate, and needy too. Work on yourself first, take time to develop yourself. If you're a student, take time to improve on ur grades, whatever you're doing, take time to do it well. Everything would fall into place, including girls too. |
I was about applying for MOBIL SCHOLARSHIP but the eligibility is a minimum of 5 distictions. please is grade 'B' inclusive or not ![]() ![]() ? |
By virtue of the fact that the number of candidates seeking entry in Nigerian universities is quite enormous, we should try to look for ways to manage the population. And one of those ways is that which I'm about suggesting now, with knowledge of the fact that it won't go down well with most folks. There should be an age limit for candidates seeking entry through UTME. From a personal experience, when I was about taking UME, I was 14+ and I observed that most of the candidates in my hall were old enough to be my father, and they still engaged in malpractices. Placing an age limit on UTME will also help to curb failures in the exam. For example, if I know that by 24, I won't be eligible for UTME, I'd do all within my effort to make sure I secure the minimum points necessary in the exam. If we keep on recycling candidates from previous years coupled with the ones from the current year, certainly we'd reach a breaking point in exam centres and supervision network. Comments concerning this suggestion is welcome. For or Against. |
A desperate couple eager to make quick money through drug trafficking has landed in the net of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). The couple and their six-year-old twins were nabbed by officials of the NDLEA at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, while boarding an Arik Air flight to London on Sunday, March 28. According to the spokesman of the NDLEA, Mitchell Ofoyeju, the family head, Jimoh Oladega Bashir (46), his wife, Jimoh Mulikat Adebukola and their six-year-old twins were carrying 4.050 kg of white powdery substance that tested positive to cocaine. Though the man had no drugs on him, the wife concealed 3.350kg in almost every part of her body. She had some on her breast and underwear. The innocent six years old twins were also used in packing 700 grammes of the illicit drugs. According to Ofoyeju, the couple has a supermarket at Ajah, Lagos, adding that it was painful that they still engaged in the illicit act. “Their reason for carrying drugs was that they were swindled of N2.2 million and needed to smuggle the drugs to enable them pay the school fees of their children. Ofoyeju quoted Jimoh as saying: “We were to be paid £3,000 while some quantity of the drugs would have been given to us. Initially, I rejected the suggestion but they convinced my wife who persuaded me to do it. My son is at the Fountain University, Osogbo and I need to pay their school fees.” The wife also blamed their involvement on school fees and other family financial responsibilities. In her words: “I have problem of my children’s school fees. I have six children and I intend to give them good education. I also have younger ones and aged parents to take care of. They asked me to swallow the drugs, but I was afraid, that is why I packed them in my body,” she stated. The NDLEA spokesman said the twins had been released to the family members, but the couple will soon be charged to court. Chairman of NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade, at a public forum in Bauchi State, last week, had warned real and potential culprits of hard drugs that the agency was ready, willing and able to keep up the fight against hard drugs. He had called on stakeholders to intensify drug control efforts, as he identified illicit drug trafficking as a major threat to political stability in West Africa. |
