This is what olawunmi said in her third year of high school. If she wants to do study biology so be it. That's what she wants to do. Be happy for her. I am happy for all the kids that were accepted to the different universities. “I am indecisive, but I am definitely going to major in biomedical engineering, because I do feel like it’s really cool to create medicines and create new technologies that are going to help people live longer and cure things, but I am also really interested in law,” she said. http://www.thesentinel.com/pgs/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=1716:sentinel-student-of-the-month-olawunmi-akinlemibola&Itemid=766 |
Prince George's County Student Accepted to 14 Colleges A talented high school student in Prince George's County has a big decision to make soon -- she was accepted to 14 colleges and universities, including Harvard, Princeton and Stanford. Olawunmi Akinlemibola, a senior at DuVal High School in Lanham, Maryland, was accepted to Ivy League schools, the University of Maryland and several other institutions. The 18-year-old has a 4.15 GPA and already has earned college credit. She works hard for her success, her guidance counselor, Stacy Kline, said. "I'm just amazed by her," she said. "It's the internal drive that she has." Akinlemibola said her family's support is key. She lives with her father, but her mother and two sisters are home in Nigeria, where she was born. In a recent interview, she began to cry as she spoke about her mother. "Even though she's not here physically, she takes care of me. Emotionally, she provides a lot of support," the student said. She hopes her family will be reunited this year. Akinlemibola said part of what drives her to succeed is a sense that she has opportunities her parents didn't have. "They’ve just gone through so much, and it's like, this is like the least I can do, is do well in school," she said. Here's where Akinlemibola was accepted, according to WTOP: Emory University Brown University University of Maryland, Baltimore County University of Maryland, College Park Swarthmore College Grinnell College Amherst College University of Chicago Duke University Stanford University Cornell University Princeton University Harvard University University of Pennsylvania Akinlemibola said Stanford is the front-runner. She would study biology and, with scholarships, pay just $300 per year in tuition. Source: http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/Prince-Georges-County-Student-Accepted-to-14-Colleges-418687613.html

The guy should have named the emir begging him to stop criticizing Buhari. I think this guy wants to feel important. He should also jump in the plane to go and protest. |
The silly pastor is just trying to be more famous. There are ways of going about this instead of fighting fire with fire. When all hell breaks loose he will be nowhere to be found. The courts are there. That will be a logical place to start. |
Some people won't be happy with this news. Bottom line this ban on citizens of certain countries from coming to America Will be a black eye to the country. It's simply un American. |
Let the incrimination begin. Who is kola Aluko fronting for? Once he his caught he will sing like a canary. Diezani needs to head home and defend her "good name". |
Doyin Okupe, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, has dropped some surprising revelations about the 2015 general election even as he advised Nigerians to move on and forget the past. Okupe on 2015 elections Doyin Okupe says Nigerians should get over regrets of 2015 elections In a statement released on his official Facebook account on Tuesday, December 20, Okupe hinted that he and his associates in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may have made statements that were untrue during the elections in the bid to get returned to office. READ ALSO: Gambia leader Jammeh shuns President Buhari He noted masking lies as truth was not uncommon in the political arena as was seen in the US elections that threw up Donald Trump as the incoming president of the most powerful country in the world. Okupe also wondered why Nigerians are failing to accept the reality that the elections are over and keep being hateful instead of helping Nigeria to move forward. He said: Many Nigerians amaze me the way they go on and on about issues relating to the campaigns before the last elections. One Ekewa Olu published a piece I wrote in December 3014 in the heat of the electioneering campaigns, pertaining to which past head of state built our refineries. The relevance of that piece yo the Nigerian situation now is extremely difficult to fathom. Obviously it was intended for mischief. Truth is, as was also evident in the last presidential elections in the US, candidates SNF their aides and surrogates say things , either to promote their principals or bring down his opponents. Once elections are over, they are simply over. The nation comes together and move on. Not in Nigeria. Many political naiveties, still bury their heads in the heaps of the whole gamut of the campaign trash, with still so much passion and hate. We have had an election in this country, and as they say all is fair in love and war. The elections have been over for nearly 2years now. People should go back to their jobs or find something else to do till 2019. As for me its over, I am done. Period. His statement has however enraged some of his Nigerian followers on social media who deemed his submission callous. READ ALSO: NLC to Buhari: Get prepared for an industrial action from us A Facebook user Ehi E Ekhator hit back: Mr, Doyin Okupe permit me to ask you this question without disregard intended. You are actually saying you said many things before election that weren't true and Nigerians should grow up and move on? I am only asking because of trust and confidence which are very important to the people who have over the years, felt being lied to. Okupe replied: Pls Mr man, politicians are not priests. I Don’t mean politicians lie, but something's are just said for electioneering purposes. Did trump not say he will jail Hilary if he wins. Is he talking about that now,? That's politics. Leave politics for politicians and face yr biz Recall that the contest between Jonathan and President Muhammadu Buhari at the 2015 election was a tough competition that was filled with constant accusations and counter accusations between the then ruling party PDP and the opposition at the time APC. A leading controversy in the campaigns was the President Muhammadu Buhari certificate saga. https://www.naij.com/1078680-ex-jonathan-aide-okupe-slams-nigerians-2015-elections.html |

APCHaram:But she lives in Nigeria. She is free to dress however she wants to. |
I have lived in the U.S. for 30 years and can say the guy spewing all those facts is exaggerating. Yes there are murders, you can be robbed. The same happens in Nigeria. He is typical of a person that is trying to discourage someone from visiting America. If America is so bad why do you still stay there. There are so many opportunities here, if you keep your nose clean and are hardworking you will be alright. America is great because of immigrants don't let people feed you nonsense. There is this thing called internets. Use it to find out the truth for your self. |

Some Christians are happy when they read anything negative about Islam. The crux of the matter is Islam is here to stay. Why are you worried about France . Why don't you tell the Nigerian govt to close all the mosques in the country you live in. You know it will and can never happen. Both religions will continue to live side by side in Nigeria. |
Sai Buhari sai baba. We already know the looters unless you have been living in a hole. |
Sai baba, sai Buhari keep doing what you are doing. Rome wasn't built in a day. |
Sai Buhari, sai baba. Buhari any time any day. No more cluelessness. Everybody is held accountable. Come 2019 if this govt is not up to par then the people will speak. |
