Nice topic but I think the question should be "ARE PRESENT-DAY CHRISTIANS REALLY CHRISTIANS?" You don't want to sound judgemental, do you? Remember, do not judge that ye may not be judged. The truth of the matter is that nearly all the denominations have experienced a shift in doctrines. This gets me scared each time I read 2 Tim. 4:1-5 because that's exactly what's happening in the churches today. You know, I've been to different denominations starting with the ANGLICAN(I was born and bred here for a long time) although I was attending a Deeper Life House Fellowship then where I gave my life to Christ. It was after my NYSC I started the pentecostal church (from one new generational church to MFM and now in RCCG). I really don't see any difference between these churches/denominations, as far as materialism/Tithing and the likes are concerned. Regardless of your denomintion, EVERY SOUL WILL GIVE ACCOUNT OF HIMSELF/HERSELF ON THE JUDGEMENT DAY because there is no denomination in heaven. But me, I think I may likely end up in Deeper Life Bible church because from all the churches I've attended so far, they seem to be the best when it comes to a constant reminder of holiness and making heaven. I'll also advise you all to visit the website below, at least 3 times a week, to keep reminding yourself of the rapture. http://www.divinerevelations.info/ However, most importantly, READ AND MEDITATE ON THE WORD AND PRAY ALWAYS. God bless you all. |
@ Rosikke and the likes, A friend made a statement that touched and I believe must have change so many lives and that statement goes thus: "I RATHER LIVE A GODLY LIFE AND DIE TO FIND OUT THAT THERE IS NO GOD THAN TO LIVE A SINFUL(AND IGNORANT) LIFE ONLY TO DIE AND FACE JUDGEMENT AND GO TO HELL." I am facing a very challenging situation in my life right now but God has been seeing me through even though the answers have not manifested. If it's frustration that's making you talk that way, I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT GOD MAKES ALL THINGS BEAUTIFUL IN HIS OWN TIME (ECCL. 3:11) I pray God touches your heart someday. Shalom |

JUST SOMETHING TO MOTIVATE YOU A LITTLE. Blue-collar jobs require physical rather than mental exertion. Hmm. What’s so wrong with how you do the work as long as you get the job done? Why should the way you do the job matter, you are trying to earn a living aren’t you? I don’t think you have anything to be ashamed of, society does not just understand that what is important is how much money you take home at the end of the day’s work. What’s so wrong if your hands get dirty, you will wash them won’t you? So your palms get tough because of the job you do, and that worries you, buy a hand lotion or better still, go for manicure every now and then, you can afford it, can’t you? Why not go for full body massage, that way all those muscles and joints that have been ‘damaged’ because of the heavy lifting will be taken care of. You are worried people will call you names, no sweat, English is a wonderful language, you can coin your own words to explain what you do for a living, print it on your business card if you like. Open a web page, nay ya money kill am. So a ‘common farmer’ can now be called an Agriculturist, an Agribusiness man, an Agronomist or a Cultivation Consultant. No be you start am, receptionists are these days referred to as Front Office Executives. It’s your job and you can describe it the way you understand it. Mechanic can be an Auto Medic, Carpenter=wood sculptor, or wood expert, or Wood Consultant /Contractor or Wood Technologist, it’s all grammar, as long as it brings money into your pocket at the end of the day. Even Pastors these days prefer to be called Life Coaches, because that pretty much explains what they do in the lives of their members, they teach/train them on managing life’s challenges. http://www.nigeriamasterweb.com/paperfrmes.html |
Enugu, Nigeria (CNN) -- Ben Okeke has a heavyweight challenge on his hands -- trying to popularize the ancient Japanese sport of sumo wrestling, in Nigeria. Okeke, also known as "Baba Mutum" -- which means "Very Big Man" -- runs a sumo academy in Enugu, eastern Nigeria, where he teaches about 40 students. Okeke started out as a professional wrestler until a friend suggested he take up sumo, so he packed his bags and moved to Japan in pursuit of a new challenge. The sport became his life passion and in 1996 Okeke won a world championship bronze medal -- the first such achievement for a Nigerian. The match changed his life, Continued from http://edition.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/africa/10/15/nigeria.sumo.wrestling/index.html I no fit laugh, hope say dem don chop well well sha or what do you guys think? |
Hello Everyone, Please, I'll like to find out what you think about a guy without job entering a relationship. My reasons stem from the fact that: - the guy is almost always very lonely, - sometimes, the depression is something that can only be reduced by a female counterpart. - and many more. Please, note that this is a guy who is SERIOUSLY searching for a job as well and secondly, there are working class ladies who are also interested despite his current status. Please, what do you advise? |
They've come again o. An American engineer has developed a car that can run purely on people power and reach speeds of up to 60mph. Known as the HumanCar Imagine PS, the vehicle is operated by hand cranks. The driver and passengers crank levers back and forth to generate power that propels the car. It can reach 60mph on flat ground and 30mph on hills. The Imagine PS can accommodate up to four passengers and it's a case of the more the merrier, as more bodies mean more power. There's also a back up electric battery to boost power when there are less passengers. The vehicle is the brainchild of engineer Charles Greenwood, who has been developing it for over 40 years. He began the project in 1968 as a way to reduce exhaust pollution and make lazy drivers healthier. The Imagine PS is due to go on sale next year and cost about £10,000. HumanCar says that it has already received 100 pre-orders. A roof is being developed for production cars and there are plans to add a touch-screen satnav system and airbags. The company has a long-term business plan and intends to market the Imagine PS in developing countries. Full production will begin when the firm has 800 pre-orders, but the Imagine PS is already road legal. http://uk.cars.yahoo.com/19082010/36/human-powered-car-reach-60mph-0.html |

Hello guys. I'm a 30 year old male. I have a handsome face but really skinny. I'm usually attracted to ladies but I refuse to give in to them cause of my physique. You'll hardly know what my body looks like when I'm fully dressed. Please, what do I do to add some weight? What kind of food? What amount of rest? What else is involved to get myself some flesh? HEEEEEEEEEEEEELP, I NEED SOME FLESH. ![]() Please,I 'm really serious about this. |
I think the best thing is to restrict the movement period for Okada (say 6.00am to 7.00pm) if one's not in place already rather than banning them completely. For the pregnant women ban on Okada,it's a fantastic move. They should stop putting their lives and that of their unborn babies to risk. |

Ganjaseed:You ain't far from the truth. I think the purpose of churching has almost been thwarted as a result of the funny doctrines in vogue. I'm not surprised because Apostle Paul predicted it in 2 Timothy 4:3 - 4. As a born again christian, I'll advise you attend churches where the painful truth is still being preached. Living a born again life is not bread and butter. Although born into the anglican family and will still continue to be identified as one, I still attend some other churches where the painful truth is being preached. It is better to keep hearing the painful truth everytime you go to church than going to the one where you get the so-called 'freedom' which will someday leave you with reprobate mind. Please, just read 2 tim. 4. |
tunnytox:the answer is a capital yes. You know how embarassing it can be when a lady turns down a guy. I've not dated too many girls - just about two whom were not difficult to approach but that's been a while. The truth is that I wasn't too comfortable with the lack of smile from the lady but the lady is damn pretty. |

Hi All, I sat beside a pretty lady in church today who was virtually nervous throughout the service. I noticed the following during the service: 1) Anytime I tried talking to her normally, she gave a very brief eye contact and appears as if she ain't listening to me but she was actually, 2) She kept making physical contact with me with her fingers in a way I would think it's a mistake, 3) She even crossed her leg somehow in nervousness. 4) I also noticed she stares at me for long when I'm looking away. 5)I also noticed that when they say praise the Lord, she replies with Amen, lol The obvious reaction that made me think she might be interested was that when she was about to go pick her nephew from the children section, she stood and carried her bag but after I gave her a quick look, she changed her mind to leave the bag behind. When she came back, I playfully asked her nephew if he enjoyed the service after which I asked for name and that of her nephew to which she obliged. I introduced myself likewise. The only problem was that she hardly smiled during these whole experience. Please, do you think she'll be interested? I'm really searching now and church seems to be my best place. |
@heryyy If you really really really love her and you're a ready for marriage, I'll suggest you marry her out of her mother's house since that seems to be the only condition for her freedom. If she reports to the cops, I think that'll not be wise coz she gonna regret that sometime later. It's her mother that has taken care of her we're talking about here. Besides, i believe she still gets everything she needs in the house. It's a matter of time when things will naturally fall in place. TELL HER TO KEEP PRAYING ABOUT IT AS WELL COZ THERE'S NOTHING GOD CANNOT DO. ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD FOR THEY THAT LOVE GOD. And for those that are telling you to break up with her, I don't think that's a good idea either but if you ain't interested in her anymore, I'll advise you still stick with her until she gets out of this problem. This is simply becoz even if you tell her you ain't interested in a relationship with her thereafter, she'll really appreciate you and definitely still remain a good friend with you. Hope this helps. |

If this eruption of a thing was in Naija or africa, I doubt if they'll have stop flying. Can you imagine that just as the ban on flight restriction was being lifted, another cloud of ash emerged from the volcanic eruption in Iceland. Omo, see as Iceland dey control every body. Restriction extended to 07:00am even after the several successful flight tests. What is all these rubbish sef ![]() AMSTERDAM – Several major airlines safely flew test flights without passengers over Europe on Sunday despite official warnings about the dangers of a volcanic ash plume, fueling a corporate push to end an economically devastating ban on commercial air traffic. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines said that by midday Sunday it had flown four planes through what it described as a gap in the layer of microscopic dust over Holland and Germany. The ash began spewing from an Icelandic volcano Wednesday and has drifted across most of Europe, shutting down airports as far south and east as Bulgaria. Air France, Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines have also sent up test flights, although most traveled below the altitudes where the ash has been heavily concentrated. KLM said its planes of various types flew the 115-mile (185-km) flight from Duesseldorf in western Germany to Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport at an unspecified normal altitude above 10,000 feet (3,000 meters). They did not encounter the thick though invisible cloud of ash, whose main band has floated from 20,000 to 32,000 feet, the height of most commercial flight paths. The announcement prompted some airline officials to wonder whether authorities had overreacted to concerns that the tiny particles of volcanic ash could jam up the engines of passenger jets. The possibility that the ash had thinned or dispersed over parts of Europe heightened pressure from airline officials losing hundreds of millions of dollars a day to end a flight stoppage that has thrown global travel into chaos and left millions stranded far from home. "With the weather we are encountering now — clear blue skies and obviously no dense ash cloud to be seen, in our opinion there is absolutely no reason to worry about resuming flights," said Steven Verhagen, vice president of the Dutch Airline Pilots Association and a Boeing 737 pilot for KLM. "We are asking the authorities to really have a good look at the situation, because 100 percent safety does not exist," Verhagen said. "It's easy to close down air space because then it's perfectly safe. But at some time you have to resume flights." Meteorologists warned, however, that the situation above Europe remained unstable and constantly changing with the varying winds — and the unpredictability was compounded by the irregular eruptions from the Icelandic volcano spitting more ash into the sky. KLM had permission from Dutch and European aviation authorities before sending the planes aloft but the Dutch and most other European authorities kept their air space closed to passenger traffic until at least 1800 GMT (1 p.m. EDT) Sunday, saying conditions remained risky. KLM's first test flight was Saturday and the airline said it planned to return more planes without passengers to Amsterdam from Duesseldorf on Sunday, planning to bring the total number of flights to 10 by the end of the day. Engineers immediately took the aircraft for inspection as they landed. "We hope to receive permission as soon as possible after that to start up our operation and to transport our passengers to their destinations," said Chief Executive Peter Hartman, who was aboard one of Saturday's flights. read the rest here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100418/ap_on_re_eu/eu_iceland_volcano |
So sad, the problem now is that the volcanic eruption doesn't seem to be subsiding. The other possibility, however, will be a situation where the wind changes direction maybe towards the Northwest. The irony of the whole is that Iceland is not being affected by the spreading of the volcanic ash. I pray the hand of God shifts the direction of the wind by 180 degrees. I just want to get out of the country. |
@cibilola, you have to keep calling. Although, not travelling with Virgin but I was able to reschedule with my airline. I believe the situation should have improved by then. @shaunscot, I don't think your boss will be mad at you but that's if he knew you travelled. |
I was affected too. Was supposed to be in naija saturday morning but had to reschedule my flight. Very frustrating but like cibilola said, God has a reason for everything. |
