ChangeIsCostant: Humans treat their fellow country humans this way? It's like the pogroms in northern Nigeria in the 1960s that killed tens of thousands of easterners. Only religion-motivated wars make humans kill their fellow nationals this manner. Water and Oil do not mix. Nigeria with the easterners is like forging Turkey and Greece in one country. You get killing spree. When is the REFERENDUM coming up in the east to ask millions of easterners for the first time to make a choice of country? |

dainformant: What Nigeria is turning into? Before Boko Haram, it's next to impossible to see any northern Nigeria living in remote villages in Igboland. Akokwa is a rural community. That northern Nigeria elements live in numbers in Akokwa goes a long way to explain how huge numbers of northern Nigerians and how deeply entrenched in all parts of Igboland they are in since the economic destruction of northern Nigeria by Boko Haram. The most menial jobs Igbo youths refused are done for little pay by northern Nigerians who fill Igboland today. RIP to the dead. |

Nigeria's Rio Olympic team is suffering in Brazil while this Fulani president is busy cornering southern politicians for support to enable his Fulani gain more ground for Fulani stranglehold on Nigeria. Remember during the preparations for the 2015 political campaign and alliances this Muhammadu Buhari and his fellow Fulanis were attending every high profile Owambe party in Yoruba land, every high profile wedding, naming and burial ceremony they attended in Yoruba land. Since Yoruba votes prompted Fulani Buhari to power, Fulani no longer attend parties in Yoruba land. |

It's Change, Change, Change to the worse for Nigerians at whatever direction one looks. Those who brought this Change to Nigerians must look at themselves in the mirror and tell to themselves: "shame on me; I am a fellow who can't see beyond my nose. " |

Sia Sia and the players ought to understand that the present political leadership of Nigeria has orientation toward Mecca, not in anything prompted by Western value systems. Many Nigerians resident in Europe are currently in frustration as Nigeria government cannot afford papers to renew their passports. 4 Likes |

omonla555: Nigeria ruins its citizens. Those Nigerians aspiring for Medals in Rio may be retarded by Nigeria. Many Nigerians resident in Europe, including the UK, can't renew their passports for long now, because Nigeria doesn't have common papers to print new passports. Even pregnant women whose passports are expired can't register in hospital, thousands of Nigerians whose passports expired can't start work. It is hell being a Nigerian for these Nigerians in Europe. You accept Nigeria as your fatherland, why do you think others who don't see Nigeria as their fatherland are in futile agitation? Who do you think you are? A Super God? The rubbish you wrote above could have been written by a foolish Russian in the old Soviet union to deter freedom for other nations held by Russia with force in the Soviet union. Why has smell of crude oil in the Niger delta made you people twist every thing, distort every story, and tell sophisticated lies - all to sustain failed one Nigeria? |

S6un: Which nation? Nigeria is not a nation, and will not be, even in one thousand years if Nigeria remains one. Twelve northern sharia states have tactically declared their own country from Nigeria, but still attach to Nigeria for economic reasons. Problem is that southern Nigerians do not understand that the twelve northern states' adoption of sharia criminal laws amounts to the far north's disinterest in Nigeria. So the southern population that pay more attention to sports mistakenly expected a northern Muslim government of Buhari to pay attention to Rio games. |

Standing5: After election in saner countries inhabited by saner peoples, no sane person talks about losers and winners of the election again. But ignoramuses of Nigeria continue to talk about losers in an election conducted about 17 months ago in Nigeria. As you still talk about losers, you heighten the suspicion that APC is an alliance of groups to win presidential election in order to hold down other groups that do not sing from the same hymn book with APC leadership. 3 Likes 1 Share |

jahsharon: Well you have no idea that it's not possible to restructure Nigeria politically anymore in a democracy; given the fact that Arewa who benefits most from the existing political status quo is over-represented in any political gathering of Nigerians including in the National Assembly. Only a military dictator from the south of Nigeria can restructure Nigeria politically to bring about the political representation structure between the three regions of Nigeria upon which the three regions agreed to take independence from the colonial masters in 1960. Some of you just comment on matters you know little or nothing about whenever it pleased you to insult your foes, irrespective of the veracity of the message your foes bring. oyinkinola: It's the same Christian value systems that govern from Bini to Urhobo to Ijaw to Igbo to Efik to Ibibio to any other ethnic groups in the SS and SE regions. With resource control and fiscal federalism governing any country or countries for these mostly well-educated ethnic groups with Christianity value systems, NEVER suggest any wars between them. Your talk of South Sudan Should Nigeria divide, the southwest region of today's Nigeria which is deeply divided between Islamic and Christianity can't make a country. Religious wars shall engulf any southwest country. Islamic/Christian wars are already creeping up from Osun state in the south west.. In Osun state today, hugh school students fight silent wars against one another as they go to school with Islamic hijab, masquerades and Christian choir clothes to outdo one another; while you South West engage as in here to spread hate and division in the southsouth and southeast. |

If una wait till north finds crude oil in commercial quantity before Nigeria can disintegrate as needed, there may be a long way to go before south of Nigeria is freed from these northern Nigerians who believe that crude oil is all there's for a country to survive. |

The best dedication to late Sam Okwaraji was a modern stadium built and dedicated to his name by Imo state govt in early 2007 in his home LGA, Orlu. The present governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, dismantled the stadium in 2011. The govt has not been able to build a new one. Orlu people are the most apolitical people, perhaps, in Africa. They do not care about matters and development in their area. http://vastsportsfacilities.com/webone/home/index.php/ongoing-projects/orlu-township-stadium?page=1 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Name One Politician You Know Is Capable Of Ruling Nigeria And Give Two Reasons by longayink: 8:38pm On Aug 10, 2016 |
owobokiri: But a northern Nigerian Muslim must win any Nigerian presidential election unless the north is willing to concede to a non-northerner. Why? How? A presidential candidate needs 25% of 2/3 of 36 states to win. But soldiers from northern Nigeria restructured Nigeria politically by wrong use of land mass as yard stick to litter 19 new states and Abuja in the once one northern region, but allowed only 17 states in the once two southern regions. So do the Maths, instead of wishful thinking about an Adebayo or Okoro being able to win presidential election in Nigeria. Please don't tell me: but OBJ and GEJ won presidential elections. 1 Like |

They would never vote those people you mentioned because of fear that those people would break their milk and honey pot - one Nigeria. And some Mullahs in Yoruba land shall mobilize votes from Yoruba land to support the Hausa/Fulani/Kanuri. These groups mentioned wouldn't mind every Nigerian eating from the dust bins of the rich Nigerians instead of seeing anything that can possibly lead to the break-up of dysfunctional Nigeria. Crude oil in the southsouth is the magnetic that attracts those groups to remain in one Nigeria 3 Likes |
Politics / Re: MEND Replies Goodluck Jonathan by longayink: 2:14pm On Aug 10, 2016 |
There should have been no NDA or even mention of MEND today if Jonathan in 2015 was brave and thoughtful enough to stir up issues that could prompt him to surrender power to a Military General from the south south or south east to politically restructure Nigeria.. That's more or less the way northern soldiers restructured Nigeria politically and gradually increased the powers of the central unitary government to this monstrous level. Anybody or group still asking for political restructuring of Nigeria in a conference where the conferees are drawn equally from each of the existing 36 states is either politically ignorant or wasting time. |
Politics / Re: MEND Replies Goodluck Jonathan by longayink: 2:06pm On Aug 10, 2016 |
Jonathan as president didn't know what the problem with Nigeria is. Jonathan believed that Nigeria could be politically restructured in a democracy. Alas he went for CONFAB without knowing how the Recommendations would be implemented. Rest is history. If Jonathan had the intelligence, he ought to have understood that only a military dictator from the south of Nigeria, especially from the southsouth and southeast could have restructured Nigeria the way things were at independence in order to please his Niger delta people. But Jonathan handed over to quasi military dictator from the north who is most likely to worsen the problem in his Niger delta. |

Politics / Re: MEND Replies Goodluck Jonathan by longayink: 1:47pm On Aug 10, 2016 |
Onix01: Jonathan became president after MEND's blackmail against Nigeria. Buhari became president after Boko Haram blackmail against Nigeria. While Buhari treats Boko Haram people with respect, Jonathan wedges war against MEND people. While Buhari pays more attention to development matters in his northern Nigeria where Boko Haram operated, Jonathan did not and doesn't pay development attention to his Nigerdelta area where MEND operated. Only connection between Jonathan and MEND is that both seriously believe in one Nigeria as structured and governed, so long as they make their individual profit from Nigeria. |
