So hotels are only for Ashawo? You can see the industry thriving in Owerri is the tourism/hospitality industry, instead of criticizing, I'm expecting you to flag off your own project in Owerri because you are a human being like those people building the hotels. You can build an indoor theme park or better still, build a manufacturing plant and I'm sure Abogwara will post the pictures here.
Even a kid in Nigeria knows:
Hotels, hotels and hotels in Owerri are mostly for prostitution, paedophiling, preying and exploiting young girls in the about 8 universities, polytechnics and other tertiary education institutions in Imo that are located only in Owerri.
Worst, Owerri people shamelessly accept the prostitution ring by refusing to hear that even one of the institutions can be located outside Owerri.
Stop deceiving una self.

The dangerous colonial wooden bridge across Urashi river in Ugbelle, Ideato South is not replaced after seven years begging by those who voted Rochas. Thousands cross the bridge daily. Rochas builds, destroys and rebuilds bridges of no water in state capital

Fucccck all these build Owerri first.
Terrorism is caused when one group insists everything good must belong to its group.

Imo State Fire Service Orlu. (1st picture) LindaIkeji blog brought this open last year.

Worse, since 2012, this road beside the fire service was started and abandoned; road closes access and exit to the fire service station.

A state governor with clear conscience wouldn't allow that.
Whatever the population of the state capital, Orlu lga has more than half of that.

Fcccuck you with your build Owerri first.

PoliticsRe: How Igbo Marginalised The Minorities In Delta by longayink: 2:52am On Mar 08, 2017
In History, Igbo has NEVER fought with any of the other ethnic groups in the old eastern region of Nigeria.

And nothing on earth can make Igbo fight against any of the non-Igbo ethnic groups in the old eastern region of Nigeria.

In 1967 when Biafra was declared, some ill-informed elders of some non-Igbo ethnic groups in the old eastern region travelled to Kaduna and begged Hassan Katsina, the former governor of Northern Nigeria, to beg Gowon the HoS then to carve out the non Igbo groups from Biafra.

Immediately after, Cross Rivers and Rivers States were created out of Biafra by Gowon.

That helped to scuttle Biafra sovereignty.

Shortly after that, soldiers and businessmen from northern Nigeria colonized billions of dollars worth oil wells in the entire south south region; worse, the habitat of many parts of the region was devastated by pollution from oil exploitation with little or no compensation to the inhabitants.

To sustain the situation, those soldiers and businessmen unleashed a huge campaign on the south south telling the people that Igbo colonized them in eastern Nigeria.

But today, it's obvious that Igbos and the other non-Igbo groups in the southsouth share common value systems.

It is natural: In a group of people that share common value systems in one country, there is no basis for one group to scheme to colonize another groups.

The divide and rule tactis they use before against old eastern region tribes, can never work again. Everybody have known their plan. Very soon the rising sun will rise to lighten up AFRICA & THE WORLD.
Africa, mostly sub-Saharan Africa, shall continue to remain in darkness unless Biafra sovereignty is restored.

Nigeria failed, it's not Nigerians that still hold Nigeria as one country. One or two foreign interests that has Nigeria as ATM hold Nigeria one.

But those foreigners can't succeed far too longer.

Guy, I have spent several years living in Lagos and I can tell you for a fact that Igbo is NOT more widely spoken than Yoruba, in Lagos. If you said Igbo is widely spoken in Alaba market, Orile or Ajegunle, I might agree due to the heavy influx of Igbo traders in that axis. The traders use it to converse among themselves. undecided

But in the larger parts of Lagos such as Lagos Island, Ifako-Ijaiye, Agege, Surulere, Ikoyi, Lekki, Ebute-Metta, Ikorodu, Badagry, Ebute-ero, Apapa, Mushin, Yaba, Ajah, Ilupeju, Ikeja, Palmgrove, Awoyaya, Sangotedo, Ibeju etc., you will discover that Yoruba is more widely spoken than Igbo, on any day of the week. In fact, one habit I find prevalent among Lagosians, is that they would first address you in Yoruba before switching to English, because they assume that everyone in the city is automatically Yoruba. sad

It can be a tad irritating, having to correct them all the time especially if you are not one of them. undecided I really doubt if you have lived in Lagos, otherwise you would know that most of your claims are incorrect.
I am not one of those who insist that Lagos is not Yoruba land. Language spoken in Lagos can vary from point A to point B as you said.

But political correctness for a country demands that Yoruba MUST not describe non Yoruba in the Southwest region as strangers.

The only way for Yoruba to morally and legally describe non Yoruba in the Southwest as STRANGER is if Yoruba gains sovereignty for Odududuwa Republic which must include Lagos.

Military dictators loyal to Hausa/Fulani restructured Nigeria politically and supervised a constitution which it imposed on all in Nigeria.

They have refused political restructuring in a democratic atmosphere.

They know that no country in the world can last with one group having restructured the political structure and supervised a constitution for the country.

Any non-Hausa/Fulani groups in Nigeria not wanting to exit Nigeria is made up of mugus.

Conduct a research:

you are most likely to hear more Igbo than Yoruba spoken in Lagos these days.

Only way for Yoruba to claim Lagos is by Yoruba declaring Odududuwa Republic now, no more waiting till oil finished in the Niger delta.

Folawiyo has found oil in Lagos, so we were told by this government.
.North is using this government in committing billions of dollars in frantic search for crude oil in the north.
North knows that Nigeria can't remain one for long. What is Yoruba doing?

PoliticsRe: Ecowas Court Strikes Out FG Request On Nnamdi Kanu's Case, Adjourns The Ruling by longayink: 8:48pm On Mar 07, 2017
Youngadvocate:
Court of Economic Community of West African States has just struck out a request by the Nigeria government asking the court to hands-off from entertaining the lawsuit filed by the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, and Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu over the gross abuses of his human rights by the Nigeria government.

The proceedings at the Ecowas Court sitting in Abuja commenced shortly after the arrival of Ecowas Court judges (Hon Justice Chijioke Nwokoye, Justice Micah Wilkins Wright, Justice Yaya Bairo and Justice Allone Sall) at exactly 10am this morning of March 7, 2017, alongside the two legal counsels, Hon Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor(Prosecuting Counsel) and Hon. Barrister S.I Labaran(Defense Counsel).

Following the introduction of the two counsels, Hon Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor representing IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu told the court that his client has been incarcerated for over 16 months despite several court injunctions by Nigerian courts granting him unconditional release. He told the court to uphold the suit filed by his client by granting him bail and imposing the necessary sanctions on the Nigeria government over the gross human rights abuses of his client and his followers as contained in the suit.

However, Counsel to the Nigeria government, S.I Labaran objected and told the court that it lacks the jurisdiction to entertain such case, as the case is still being presided over by a Nigerian court. He also told the court that IPOB is not an ECOWAS body and therefore the case should be struck out.

Reacting swiftly to the tensed argument between the Counsels, the Ecowas court judge, Justice Chijioke Nwokoye rebuffed the objection of the respondent for lack of merit. The judge explained that both Nnamdi Kanu and the Nigeria government are members of ECOWAS, therefore the court has every jurisdiction to entertain any case brought before it by both parties.
The presiding judge however adjourned its ruling on the lawsuit filed by Nnamdi Kanu to April 27, 2017.

Nigeria's FG was like a an EU country saying that an European Union Court has no jurisdiction to hear a case of abuse of human rights of a national of the EU member country.

No EU country would be so stuppppeed to argue like that before an EU Court.

Uquestionably, through their loyal military dictators, Hausa/Fulani restructured Nigeria politically to favour northern Nigeria, supervised a constitution to legit the skewed political structure. Rest of Nigeria cried for political restructuring in a democratic atmosphere but to no success.

In democracy, Janjaweeeed soldiers in the uniform of Nigeria Armed forces who represent Hausa/Fulani shoot and kill or imprison people who protest against the FAILED political structure and system.

Aboki Abagworo, go back to your Imo state thread where you advertise Gov Okorocha and his jobs in Owerri.

You are intellectually handicapped, just like your oga, as both of you sincerely believe in concentrating all development projects of Imo state in only one town, Owerri; while you advertise the Owerri projects.

But you and your oga didn't understand that by doing so, the larger population of Imo state ridicule both of you.

Imo state extends beyond the capital city, you and Okorocha do not accept this.

While the two governor Orji Kalus that neglected Aba were from Umuahia state capital areas of Abia state and they had the courage to do what they did,
Rochas Okorocha of Imo state is from Orlu zone, but has his businesses and palatial homes in Owerri, hence Okorocha says he is building Owerri Mega City, as he abandoned the other towns of Orlu and Okigwe in Imo state since the last five years.

What made Aba nearly collapse before is similar to what your oga, Rochas Okorocha, is doing to Orlu and Okigwe in Imo state.

In sixteen years, two governors of Abia state concentrated every development in the state capital, Umuahia.

In the last six years, Okorocha abandoned Orlu and Okigwe but concentrated nearly all his projects in the state capital, Owerri.

As for my people (the Yoruba’s), they take the lead from the back…as a matter of fact, they actually constitute one of the major problems in addressing the many injustices visited by the “State” on the people. They are the principal supporters of the caliphate and the miasma entrenching the fraudulent system, content to take the crumbs from the centre, they have always been used, Awolowo, Abiola, Diya, Tinubu and our dear Professor who is still organizing town meetings.

I do not know the problem of the Igbos, neither do I know that of the Fulani’s, or the Ijaws and the over 200 ethnic tribes lumped together by the British. I can only try to be part of my region and join forces with those who think like me to advance the cause of my region. I do not want to waste my efforts on Nigeria because I know that Nigeria, as presently constituted, is fraudulent and cannot deliver on protecting lives and property of its citizenry which is the most elementary and primary deliverable for any structure.
Even a goat from northern Nigeria can beat the best professor of politics or lawyer from the south in Nigeria's presidential election, so long as the north insists that the presidency of Nigeria must be in the north.

A candidate needs 25% of votes in 24 states to win.

Arewa soldiers proliferated 20 states in one northern region, but allowed only 17 states in two southern regions.
But mostly, SW politicians don't grasp the fact that land mass could not have been used as criterion to divide Nigeria into 36 states and Abuja.

There should have been more states in the two southern regions than in the one northern region.
