Good morning. When I clicked on the course, it takes me to a coursera page. Do I enroll for the course on coursera or how does one go about it considering most of the courses are paid... Though there's room for financial aid.

The reason why they warn against multiple submission is that we have general assessment and law assessment only. if you do both you have done multiple submission.

That's my own little understand.

I have never seen in a history of CBT that you will allow to write test twice.

There is an error from NDLEA end , we must think outside the box to correct the error.
OK now. To each his own.

My observation from the whole the process is that they were trying to migrate from old site to new site but the process was not completed yesterday until earlier this morning. I could vividly recall that both old site and new site were working yesterday but if you click on old link today you will be redirected to the new link, the senses behind it is that old site is no more working. My advice is that if you know that you belongs to yesterday batches and you wrote the test on old site you better go and retake on new site because they intentionally sent the new link to those that were scheduled for yesterday test.

The new site is working fine and no more old sites.

Ire oooooooooo
No ooo. Both are connected to the same backend server. It doesn't matter which you used.

Keep quiet. The site records only one successful entry.
You can't take the exam twice if you had a previous successful entry..
You guys should stop all these useless talks.
You're a fool. You've been jumping about insulting anyone with a contrary view. If the site wouldn't allow you to do twice if you've submitted, then why did NDLEA warn against multiple submission?
What do you know about http request?
I don't care if you do it 100 times, just don't mislead others.

I have only one advice for you, do not take the exam multiple times if you've submitted and success was shown on the address.
It is already registered on the backend. The frontend is just a client side validation, the backend has validated it with the success message. Repeating the test is multiple entry and you might be disqualified. NDLEA is seeing what is happening and they might even give extra day for those that have one issue or the other. That's better than you breaking the rule. Let us calm down.

I said it, there'd be an extension. I also advised not to try multiple times. Let those that have ears, listen.
You're doing multiple times because you want to see "exam taken" which is just a client side validation and an hitch can even delay it. The server side validation is the success in the address which confirm submission at the backend. Una no dey listen to superior argument, later una go dey cry foul.

ALX Africa run the most comprehensive Software Engineering program in Africa. The most amazing part is that this program is free... Yes, free. You don't have to pay a dime for the 12 months duration of this program.
Recently, we had a challenge and I'm one of the five lucky winners. ALX has decided to sponsor our trip to Kigali, Rwanda for a summit. I know it would be amazing!
I'd be sharing my experience in writing and pictures for all to see. Stay tune!
The journey starts soon.. 15th January, 2023.

no vex Bro. .... i am still on a search for laptop at low budget...
I have 3 options for laptops...
one man that is shop look dirty with mixture of scrap laptop offer me this 2 laptops

1) i3, 5th gen _ lenovo, thinkpad e450 but has a weak battery.., 5% was out in 5min while .100k. no keyboard light...ram 4gb..
2) i5, 6th gen...dell latitude e5470, weak battery.might not last 2hr, while I was checking the system, 5% was out in 5min. 130k, with keyboard light...ram 8gb

Another man that has a clean shop, but has very expensive laptops offer me this
i3, 6th gen, hp probook, battery upto 3hrs. With keyboard light...130k..ram 4gb
Which one should i choose please?? ... really need to start something
Don't buy any of those laptops. You'll regret it when you start work, speaking from experience. One mistake most people make while searching for laptops to buy is not being patient enough. Calm down, search jiji and other market place, you'll get a good one. I bought my laptop 8gb ram, core i7 and SSD 256gb for 100k. It was like a steal, though it's from a friend.
I'll advise you be patient and do more search.

Hello. Apologies for the delayed response. I have been really busy trying to be ahead.

I advise you start with C programming. But before then you may want to learn about shell navigation, Git and GitHub.

For C programming, I recommend any of these two books; The C programming Language by Brian W. Kernighan and Dennis M. Ritchie or Sams Teach Yourself C in 24hours by Tony Zhang. But if you prefer Videos instead, you can look up for a course on C by Progamiz.

Thank you very much sir. I'll made use of your recommendation.

The programme is intense. 70 hours per week is non negotiable for this programme, most especially if you don't have prior knowledge of programming or computer science. But with proper time management, it is very possible.
Thank you very much for this

Do you advise I start learning python now or what do you think I can do to make the learning path smoother for me.
Flocky:
So yesterday we were given resources and projects on EMACs and Vim text editors. I kinda feel more comfortable using VIM (I will just stick with it for now).

Today, we got resources and projects on GIT and GitHub. I have learnt command line git operations like git add, git commit, git push, git pull, git clone, git status etc. and also what README files are and how to write a good README and commit messages. Now this becomes harder just as expected.

We also got resources on a topic titled Map Your Mind - So here I learnt a little about flowcharts, whiteboarding, pseudocodes and algorithm. I didn't really dwell much here but I hope to look at it again this weekend. On the other hand, I continued my bash scripting video by Amigoscode.

So far, I love the fact that I have been able to keep up with all the projects. I really hope to maintain this momentum as it get harder.
If you have any resources that may help, please kindly share

Good evening. I have just been admitted to the same programme. We're starting by September. I want to know the challenges involved and the way I can cope with the 70hrs per week.
Any other info will be appreciated. Thank you.
