2. She and the Minister of Transport implored GEJ to close the loophole as part of port reforms
3. GEJ closed the loophole
4. A GEJ aide who represented the interests of those benefiting from the loophole asked her to tell GEJ to reverse the decision
5. NOI refused and the aide tried to frustrate her
6. The aide eventually stopped when others told him he'd be in soup if NOI reports to GEJ

As to the question of why say so now?

A: The book is titled "Fighting Corruption is Dangerous." It's meant to chronicle all the opposition she received for fighting corruption. Everyone faces issues in their place of work, this is a memoir of the ones she faced.

She's not campaigning for anyone.

Okonjo-Iweala cared only about her salaries and allowances. Nobody should even give excuses for this failed minister.

Bart Nnaji did not resign because of corruption in the power sector. He resigned because he is a director in a private power firm (Geometric) that was a big player in the industry. He didn't want his private interests to be used as a distraction during the power sector reform.

The loophole was brought to her attention in 2011. She and the Minister of Transport wrote to Jonathan to close the loophole. Jonathan closed the loophole within 5 months of her appointment.

GEJ was made president in 2010. Loophole was closed in 2011. So where is the 5 years coming from?

Any electorate who continued to support Jonathan after that statement, deserves the rot called Nigeria, and deserved all the hardship that has been experienced since then as a consequence of that kleptomaniac regime that did not save even just 1kobo from all revenue that it earned, but rather bankrupted the economy.
