What of port-Harcourt Rd
Any development on that road
Things are being taken apart(I mean controlled and uncontrolled demolition) to pave way for the redevelopment of that road. If you know how important that road is to the government and Aba you would wish he never baits an eyelid to people cursing him for destroying wrongly situated properties.
And I think Setraco has moved in, don't know but saw Dantata and Sawoe truck in town last week, dunno which project they're handling.

By this time next year or 2020, Aba might not b recognisable to you anymore.

Dortmund is such a useless club in business!

Defenders are being sold for nearly £70m while this yeye club is dashing Arsenal a pacy and goal scoring CF/LWM for peanuts.

In my opinion, Arjen Robben still has 2 more seasons at Bayern. Any business we have with Ribery should be concluded this coming summer. I can't even put on a smiling face while watching him play. I've seen, read and heard people say the board can let Vidal go after we got Goretzka. But I will trade Leon and Sebastian for 3 more seasons for Vidal at the Allianz Arena.

Vidal is not getting tired soon, he pours his heart out on the field, only if 3/4 of our squad are half determined like him.

Do you know that according to Chinua Achebe, appointing a king was a form of taboo in Igbo land? Most Igbo settlements were villages nor heavily populated, poorly equipped militarily. They could not withstand the superior military might of the Binis and their allies.

All those guys had to do was organize raiding parties overpower the Igbo resistance and that was it.
Of course appointing a king should be a taboo or some sort of illegitimacy in every given entity reasonable dwellers considering the manner of authority or power such king is to bear. So I don't need to stamp it into your tick hairless skull that 'APPOINTING' a king in Igboland is till being frowned upon up till this day and I believe same for Yorubas too.

Despite your claims of not heavily populated, unorganized, little or no military might the so called conquerors never left a foot print worth noting.

I know must be wondering how the Igbos managed to survive while eluding the Bini conquerors and their allies despite their military sophistication and superior civilization.

At least you admit they have influence on onicha what about anioma?

The English people was under the Roman Catholic for centuries and thus had Latin influence.

Ignorant mofo doesn't even know that Spanish, french and Portuguese were from Latin. The Royal family is of German descent.
They had an influence but how recognizable was the influence? Does the influence still linger till today? How much impact does it have if it does?

You're are the ignorant jellyfish here, cos it's obvious you have forgotten what you scribbled when you quoted me out of context. And the worst of your incurable stupidìty being that you didn't even make an attempt to understand my reply to you.

Duh, they were taking Igbos and selling them as slaves. There was very little reason to interact culturally with people you simply raided.

How come the Obi of Onitsha copies Benin regalia?
They never took anybody and sold into slavery.

Those kidnapped were kidnapped by criminals who ran slave trade gang in Igboland and was sold to the Bini's who latter sold to the Europeans.
Those who commited crimes against the community were also sold in slavery by their families or the community.
There were never a recognisable Bini influence in any part of Igboland, the little they had in Onicha you have to bend down to notice.

I've told you to quit been mischievous, you might grow your hairs back if you do.

Please stop with your ignorance. Yoruba just know ibo I n less than 150 years ago. We had nothing in common and didn't have any contact before the Advent of the colonialists. Ibos it is easy to borrow words from hausas which we have had contact with for centuries than ibos. Also, Edo had influence on ibos and could have made borrowing yoruba words easy.

You don't borrow words from people in foreign land unless they come to learn from your land.
I don't think you were referring to me but I me chip in, anyway.
What influence do Edo people had or have on Igbos? If Edo had an influence on Igbos it was on people of Onicha and the influence was contained there in Onicha or maybe a bit further into Anambra and not Igbos in General as you and your mischievous fellows are trying to paint it.

Your last paragraph, though. Where there ever a German, Italian, Greek or Roman invasion of England? How do you explain the so many borrowed words in English language?

Your ignorant self won't let you know that there is no superior language. You think inferior languages borrow from superior ones.

Sorry you are hurt, but facts cannot be twisted. The truth is a large portion of people sold into slavery in pre-Independence Nigeria were Igbos, it was not really fellow Igbos doing this but people with superior civilizations finding it easy to overrun the largely scattered Igbo villages that never found the ability to form a state of their own.
As usual, you're missing the who point of the discourse and trying too hard to make a ridicule of your initial brainfart just to massage your bigoted ego.

She asked how is it possible there are no much influence of the superior civilizations that captured and sold Igbos on the Igbos today? But the influence of Igbos are scattered almost all over Souther Nigeria?

ask question before you disgrace yourself outside... it has so many meaning in igbo.. I will list some out for you
nko- edged
nko- hook
nko- to tease or abuse some one
and so many more... can you tell me it's Yoruba meaning
I wasn't saying we don't have 'nko' in Igbo, but the particular 'nko'(considering the meaning) he asked about is not popular among Igbo speakers.

What you wrote up there is fact and I know about it.

I don't understand why someone will sit in the comfort of wherever he is squatting and claim that words like 'soso, egwusi, ogiri etc' do not exist in the Igbo lexicon while comfortably claiming it was borrowed from his? Any such idiot should not please hesitate to tell us the first man to use such words, the man who brought and added this words to the Igbo lexicon with evidence and in which the incidents took place.

How could someone say agwa is not an Igbo word?

Thank you jare my sister.

That is how one Igbo guy was arguing with me the other day that “Nko” is an Igbo word because they now use it.

I was like.... Jesu!
I don't think anybody uses 'Nko' while speaking Igbo, it best suits pidgin English.

Instead of 'Nko' in an Igbo sentence, 'KWANU' is best suits to every Igbo speaker.

805 billion for south East grin this kind error fit attract herdsmen to state Government house.

I trust only Umahi to use the funds appropriately among his South East counterparts.

I pity Cross River State and commend Kaduna and El Rufai for keeping it simple and effective.

Fayose hasn't cleared his recurrent expenditure for almost three years now, less than half his budget goes into capital.

What an in depth analysis on Parliamentary System of Government, felt like I was in Government class.

Good old memories.

A Federal Parliamentary System is the sure way if Nigeria so desire to progress. We are too naive for this shitty Presidential system of government, sadly enough, neither OBJ, GEJ nor PMD was or is patriotic enough to preside over Nigeria. A parliamentary system would seen Bubu booted out a long time ago.
