@gboss. I wont be surprise if you are still in the secondary sch, no insult intended, because the way you sound prove otherwise. Go back and read what @banki posted and come and tell me what you make out of it.
PoliticsRe: President Jonathan - El-rufai Is A Serial Liar by Lordlexy: 10:55am On Aug 12, 2013
banki: its funny how some people have conveniently left the message and attack the messenger, lets tell our selves the truth and it is only a blind supporter of the president or any one that is benefiting from the current government that would say other wise.
it is a fact that the Minister of finance has acknowledged that we are loosing a lot of revenue due to oil theft, it is afact that sea piracy has increased drastically along the coast of west Africa due to oil theft, it is a fact that Niger Delta Militants sponsored by the presidency are guarding the pipelines, it is a fact that over 1 trillion naira was lost due to subsidy fraud under the watch of the president, it is also a fact that most of the beneficiaries are cronies of the president.it is also a fact that NONE of this thieves have been brought to book.

it is also amazing the speed at which the government responds to criticism by anyone, I wish that was the same speed they respond to pertinent National issues, like Boko Haram insurgency, Floods, Strikes, unemployment, health etc, a few weeks ago over 20 school children were murdered in their sleep, it took the presidency more than 3 days to even comment.

The presidency is equally as guilty of double speak as El rufai, the only difference is that El Rufai does not hold public office, It is Ruben Abati that consistently wrote all kinds of things about GEJ and his wife I remember in one of his articles he said "under Yaradua Nigeria was on a go slow mode and under GEJ we have finally reached Full stop" the same Abati is defending Mr President up and down simply because he is now part of the chop me gang.
Banki bro, you have nailed it. Precise, analytical and insightful. You couldn't have put it any better than this. This no doubt is a technical knock out. Case close, file dismiss. God bless you bro.
PoliticsRe: President Jonathan - El-rufai Is A Serial Liar by Lordlexy: 10:40am On Aug 12, 2013
i think the question we should be asking ourselves is; why has oil theft persist this long unabated? Forget what El rufai said. The inability of the Fg to effectively combat the ugly trend despite the large security agency at his beck and call should give rise to concern to every discerning mind. The activities of this thieves has proven a measure of slackness on the side of Fg. Attacking El rufai in response to his accusation is not so much as important as dealing with the crises at hand. If the Presidency is seeing doing the right thing as expected, no one will find any loose end to bring the President's name to disrepute. It is the absent of the will power and purposefulness to crush the cabals and genuinly improve the lots of the masses inspite of the huge resources at his disposal that is generally drawing this wide disregard to that office and his person. Outright display of sentiment is fast fading away and almost becoming very boring. We must be seeing pointing to the ills of the nation and calling the attention of those responsible rather than cruxifying the messanger leaving the message unattended to.

D_BestDoc: Who says the purpose of marriage is for procreation alone? huh
People marry for different reasons.
Probably, that's your definition and concept. Marriage that seeks not to procreate eventualy leads to an unhappy home. Why must one swallow everything hook, line and sinker from the suppose westerners. If you detest having kids, then avoid intimacy. Something psychological must be very wrong with you ppl. First, it was the feminist rubbish, and now this gibberish. Pls, we have important things to worry about in Africa to be bothered with some imported ideology of some confused women. Intelligence demands that a woman managed her family and career effectively.
FamilyRe: Are Intelligent Women Less Likely To Want Children? by Lordlexy:
How much intelligence is truely intelligence. What other intelligence or exposure is greater than what we have heard and seen among great men and women, yet lot of them have children they display as trophies to be proud of. This hype about women resourcefulness is simply a cheap avenue to give the impression that women are strong contenders to their male counterparts. Men and women reputed to have made land breaking achievement still manage a reborst family, and not these office secretaries who you will hardly find in fields that demands brain cracking will come out making baseless statement. Show me an unmarried and childless career woman and i will show you a frustrated woman.
PoliticsRe: Okorocha’s Suspension: Umeh’s Only Grandstanding – Okorie by Lordlexy: 12:03pm On Aug 06, 2013
Well, the truth is that Apc has gone beyond regional politics were ethnicity hold sway to a more nationalistic approach void of partisanship to an ideology that seek to promote the welfare of her citizens, and that explain why Rochas decided to shift camp. Apga would have been a unifying force for all igbos, but for the regionalism which smack sentiment among its rank and file has been its undoing. Also, an allege marging of the party with pdp has further proven the unseriousness of the party knowing the abysmal performance of the killer party. Even if Apga succeed at the regional level, i found the party irrelevant at the centre, because of the constant air of resentmdnt and partisanship promoted by the igbos against other regions. Rochas has made the right choice, and something tells me that, Apc might just be the party that will get the igbo political elites back on track nationaly and not apga.

Onlytruth: You cannot see because you did not pass common entrance level English comprehension exam.
I also strongly believe that you are a PAID anti-Igbo agent in Nairaland. It is people like you that work for others to bring us down in Nigeria. You lay snares and put out false info, thereby making others to call us GREEDY.

The killer party is currently lined up with Igbo sons and daughters at the very top of government. If you don't see that, please bury your head in shame. The killer party is working hard now to give Igboland DIRECT international air access. The killer party president is trusting Igbo sons/daughters with some of the most sensitive national positions- let me break it down for you: there are certain positions you need to control first in Nigeria before you can ever aspire to get other things in Nigeria. Right now, by 2016, there will be a TRUE census, complete with all relevant data (previously deemed uncollectable in Nigeria because it might favor Ndigbo).

Dude I marvel at the level of your idiocy sometimes, honestly; but I fully understand your type.
Imagine if someone like you or your type is made the Head of state, every other region, except the SE can kiss the dust for all you care. You are too tribalistic and sentimental for my liking. Attitude and qualities like yours are for native rulership. It is ppl like you that makes most Nigerians to look at the igbos with suspecion. That explain why other regions have politically. The action of one man (Fashola) which could be interpreted in several ways and which offcourse was widely condemned mustn't be a yard stick to measure the psych of the party. You went on to praise pdp for some important post giving to some indi igbo, yet your ppl cry of maginalisation. That is contradiction. In my undertanding from your rhetoric, is that, you would prefer Apga to Apc even if Apc will make good leadership. Isn't that selfish? Long b4 Apc was registered, long b4 the deportation, such resentments had been made obvious. Wake up and smell the coffee, because hatred is a disease that kills faster than terminal illness.

Why would they go to court? Is Bipi the speaker? The impeachment procedure did not follow the due process and is thus null and void, going to court is accepting it. If Bipi and co think they went through the procedure properly, let them go to court. As long as we are concerned in Rivers state we have one RSHA speaker and that is Otelemaba Amachree. Let Bipi go and prove that they properly impeached the speaker.
YOUR HEAD IS CORRECT. GOING TO COURT BY THE PRO AMAICHI GROUP WILL BE ADMITTING THAT A LEGAL IMPEACHMENT TOOK PLACE. THE ONION IS NOW ON BIBI TO PROVE US WRONG BY GOING TO COURT TO CHALLENGE THE PROCEDING THAT TOOK PLACE AT THE HOUSE. IN THE CASE OF POLITICS, ONLY THE PERSON THAT FELT SHORT CHANGE AGAINST THE INCUMBENT THAT GOES TO COURT AND NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND. THIS VERSION IS OBVIOUSLY COMING FROM THE STABLE OF THE PDP.
PoliticsRe: PDP Governors, Lawmakers Give Conditions To Join APC by Lordlexy: 5:30pm On Aug 05, 2013
Those decampees may have other motives diff from what APC would have expected, but i think, principle, value and standard of the party if it is tailored made to encourage discipline and administered correctiveness, will give them (decampees) reasons to appreciate the stands of the party. The onions is on the party leaders to ensure that its ideology must never be comprise, but should serve as a template and a bench mark to evaluate its performance and seek to make amends when need be for the general welfare and interest of the ppl they serve. And lastly, appropriate discipline should be meeted out to any erring offender as stipulated in their constitution. Every good party has some elements of strange fellows, but only strong, workable principle makes them moral.

PoliticsRe: PDP Members Are Welcome To APC – Odigie-oyegun by Lordlexy: 6:04pm On Aug 04, 2013
The positive performance of the APC governors over the years is a testimony of principle, value and standard which is a bench mark of success. This is a feature which obviosly never exist in the pdp, hence the godfatherism politics which has succeeded in enthroning and instituting impunity and corruption. APC has giving us reason to appreciate what democracy, rule of law, serious governance, accountability and development is. It is an injustice for anyone who appreciate progress to cast aspersion on this wind of change we are about to experience. The action of an individual is a reflection of the institution he is founded on. Having some member of the pdp cross-carpet to APC isn't an excuse for any one to critise the party since the principle guarantees the conduct of the members.

PoliticsRe: Ijaw Militants Warn Soyinka & Falana To Keep Off Rivers State by Lordlexy: 11:02pm On Jul 29, 2013
McLuhan: I support the demonstration being planned by Soyinka, Falana and their colleagues. These are fearless pro-democracy activists who will protest against injustice anywhere. I really commend their courage. My only suggestion is that their activism should not be selective. The Boko Haram problem in Borno is no less an injustice than the crisis in Rivers State. So, immediately after the Port Harcourt rally, they should visit the Boko Haram camps in Maiduguri, Damaturu, and Potiskum for similar demonstrations. I know that Soyinka is totally against the heinous human rights abuses being perpetrated by the Boko Haram terrorists and I know he will surely storm their hideouts very soon to protest the killings.
The boko haram issue is presently being taking care of by fg, and it is right for someone who care so much about the unity and democracy of our dear country to voice their concern against power who are neck deep to unjustly remove a sitting governor. Gej is a president of Nig and that of ijaw, and thus making threat to prevent a suppose lawful and peaceful protest shows the total breakdown of security and the ineptitude of the Nigerian force. Places where justice and law prevail, these miscreants would have been put behind bars for incitement.
PoliticsRe: Ijaw Militants Warn Soyinka & Falana To Keep Off Rivers State by Lordlexy: 3:38pm On Jul 29, 2013
Ikengawo: The problem is the Ijaw portions of Nigeria, Bayelsa and parts of Rivers and Delta States have failed at a level that ranks below even the north. so their perception of democracy, nigeria, politics, economics, relations etc is one that reflects a mind that comes from a nation poorer and less developed than Nigeria. The rest of Nigeria, except the boko haramic north and ijaw delta are beyond the use of violence and terrorism on this scale when they can't make a legitimate argument or apply dialogue. Though I don't trust yoruba intentions in the Rivers crisis, I know as any rational person knows that Soyinka is not wrong in his assessment of the presidency's primitive abuse of power. These militants thus have no right to tell a Nigerian not to speak on Nigeria issues.
And to think that we have Police and other security agents who reserved the right to determine whether a protest should be held or not. So appaling. This is anarchy and impunity on rampage. In a saner clime, such incitement from rebels would have been addressed. Their statements clearly suggest that the police are handicap, and goes to show that that security lies with them(militant). What Happen to freedom of expression and association. Somebody need to remind them that Nigeria is an entity and not a regional state, and so, the Prof. can protest peacefully anywhere he desire. Somebody, please tell me the diff between these tribal champions with the illiterate boko boys? Violent, threat is their stock in trade. It is obvious to every discerning mind that the S/S (Bayelsa, part of Delta, part of PH) and the Hausa fulani extraction base on their recent outburst, have proven to be lacking in civility and define knowledge to express their views without resorting to violence. Leaving power in the hands of such unrefined ppl, may rob on us their low IQ and violent nature. Their undertanding of democracy is an eyesore and nauseating.

@kel4soft. I feel your pain bro about the under-development despite the large junk of budget accrued to your region, couple with the NNDC, the Ministry of Niger Delta, also considering the fact that the region is small geographically, one would have thought that ss is now a paradise in the league of dubai and the likes, but unfortunately, it remains an eye sore. I often imagine what would become of Ss when the oil dries up or the price eventually drops drastically with the attendant devastation on the environment. Instead of struggling to have another shot at presidency which is gradually becoming a mirage on account of gross failure, incompetence, ethnicity, which almost succeeded in creating a rift in our corperate existence, my advise is for the reasonable youths like you to hold the state gov't accountable for the diplorable condition of your environment. Total negligence of the hare working ppl and responsible ppl to embrace rebels and cultist on the premise of amnesty will further breed a generation of other militants.
PoliticsRe: What Is Wrong With Jonathan? By Lasisis Olagunju by Lordlexy:
At least, the scale has fallen off our eyes to undertand clearly that election along ethnic or regional line could be catastrophic. The S/s and s/e, expecially the ijaw ppl, had over the years proven to be unexpose to undertand the tenet of democracy which involves building bridges across all the geopolitical zone which is all inclusive . Open threat to sovereignity and unity of the country just to have one of their in power, is a dangerious precedence, which if not nip in the bud, could further crack the fagmented peace we are currently nursing. Personaly, i'm glad with the development in our polity so far, atleast, we have been afforded the rear opportunity to under study the various ethnic group; their political exposure, sophistication, temperance, maturity, tenacity, competence etc, and from here, we can draw our conclusion base on individual anticedent on who qualifies to be voted.

FSU: These are faceless Igbo-Yoruba youths. All genuine Igbos stand with GEJ
Lets assume they are Igbo-Yoruba youths masqurading as igbos as you claim, it is obvious that they have succeeded in exposing the ills of the gov't in their apparent failure to fulfil their electoral promises, but most annoying, is the undying determination of some gullible, misguided and uninformed fellows to continue to vouch for the President. Competence and tangibility in development should be the basis for election, anything other than these, would be considered as tribalism and ethnic bigotry.
PoliticsRe: Volunteer To Be A GEJITE, Nairaland Chapter!!! by Lordlexy:
ujchief: Smh! If our past presidents have this kind of shrewd mentality, we wouldn't have had four (4) functional refineries, ajeokuta steel mill, eleme petrochemicals, onne fertilizer plant etc. Damn, we wouldn't have had 3rd mainland bridge, onitsha bridge and so on. The private sector is mostly not interested in investing in the country mostly because you can't guarantee them adequate power supply. Tell me how GEJ has provided the enabling environment? By blowing hot air that he would fix the power sector? 3yrs later, where are we? About to fix!
The Nigerian environment is not business friendly, and GEJ is not doing much to improve on it. All the 9 refineries at Egypt is owned by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation. They are still run and maintained by their government which is not relying on private enterprise to come and run their economy.

Let your Gej keep running around the whole continent 'begging' people to come and invest in the country. They will sure be having a nice laugh at him. You don't lure private enterprises by kissing their a'r'se; you lure them by providing basic facilities like power, efficient transport system, security. The few that invested already are having a hard time keeping track of the oil they drill; all because your GEJ has empowered militants like tampolo to legally steal oil in the creeks.

Don't quote me again if you have nothing meaningful to discuss.

#team-ar-s-e-lickers#
Chief, please, show them mercy now. You have disconfiscated them to a point of no repair. They think we are fools. This desperate move to have things fix at this 9th hourt is simply an attempt to lure sympathy. All the good will the President has been soiled for sheer greed. Right thinking ppl perceive and appreciate progress if they see one, but what we have is nothing short of wastage and mediocraty. The President had everything at his disposal to stage an obvious change but failed to capitalise on it. The resources entrusted him with does not commeserate with the dev on ground. The health sector is in shambo, the transportation is chaotic, the over hyped agriculture is obviously not felt in the open market, unemployment is still all time high, education is relegated, except for power with some measure of improvement, may be in my area, but obviously not enough to revamp the economy. The question begging for answer is whether the electionnery promises have been fulfiled, if not, then this campaign is dead on arrival.
PoliticsRe: Volunteer To Be A GEJITE, Nairaland Chapter!!! by Lordlexy: 9:19pm On Jul 28, 2013
ujchief: Its understandable that you would rejoice at crumbs being thrown at you. I was just trying to show you the bigger picture; the one that will allow you to buy fertilizer much cheaper than the subsidized price because it is locally produced. The one that will diversify our economy, make us produce more and consume less.

But you prefer the crumbs being thrown at you!

#team-a-r-se-lickers#
when the blind leads the blind, what do you expect, both will end in the ditch. Impoverishment of the mind could blind fold one from seeing the bigger picture and go for crumbs even when he deserves the whole bunch.
