PoliticsRe: Rivers Crisis:You Cannot Take The Swamp Out Of The Hippopotamus-Wole Soyinka by Lordlexy: 4:34pm On Jul 17, 2013
I respect d Prof and i totaly disregard d 1st lady's involvement in d River State crisis, but i take exception to d name calling. Constitutionaly or not, d person of d 1st lady should be criticised if need be, but also respected if not for d office she occupied but as a person and d President's wife. Any form of name calling is totaly unacceptable.
PoliticsRe: Anti-amaechi Protesters At Port-Harcourt Airport Yesterday (Pictures) by Lordlexy: 3:27pm On Jul 17, 2013
slimikenna: so do you, dear sir, from your write up, suggest that those against the fuel subsidy protests were 'wrong'?
The subsidy protest was for a just cause that concerns our social-economic well being. While this particular one is without course rather than to justified their pay and partisanship. If south south had d population of d north and west couple with d present resources, i bet you, they would have succeeded bullying the rest ppl. Their act of thuggery, brazing occultic activities and d low standard of education which they proudly show off, place them side by side with boko haram and d Almajeri. I expect this grown men to be more concern about demanding from their gov't a better means of livelyhood instead being used as puppet in d hands of despurate politicians on trivial issue such as this for some crumbs which is totally unnecessary. It is obvious this guys were acting on a poorly written script.
PoliticsRe: Anti-amaechi Protesters At Port-Harcourt Airport Yesterday (Pictures) by Lordlexy: 12:43pm On Jul 17, 2013
South southt and south east continue to breed holigans, touts and miscreant whose stock in trade is to perpetuate violence and unneccessary chaose. Are they any different from d Almajeri up North?, i doubt. If this is d kind of leaders that will emerge from the region, then i weep for them.
PoliticsRe: Anti-amaechi Protesters At Port-Harcourt Airport Yesterday (Pictures) by Lordlexy: 11:33am On Jul 17, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: I know there's a thin line between violence and throwing stones but throwing of stones is one COMMON feature of protesters all over the world. Why do protesters throw stones? They throw stones to reach targets the security people prevented them from reaching physically.

Yes, all Nigerians deserve protection but the level of protection you get is determined by the level of risk. Presidents all over the world get maximum security because they face the highest risk. The governors are local champions who do not even require much physical security if things were working properly.
If this is what education entails, then i am disappointed. If this is what being a paid agent is, then is too shallow, shameful, embarrasing. If this is what being a tribalist is, then that is gross illiteracy. If this is what being a pro gov't is, then that is rotten and smelly.
PoliticsRe: Anti-amaechi Protesters At Port-Harcourt Airport Yesterday (Pictures) by Lordlexy: 11:18am On Jul 17, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: What was the police supposed to do? Kill all the protesters? Didn't people protest against removal of fuel subsidy for several days? This is democracy. Both the pro- and anti-Amaechi groups have the right to protest and even throw stones. The much the police can do is restrain the protesters to certain areas, which they did in this instance because the four governors and Amaechi moved to and fro the govt house. The police cannot stop people from throwing stones.

Moreover, governors are not the president that needs maximum security. Even the president with his maximum security was once a victim of stone throwing protesters.
Now it is clear to Nigerians what part of d fence you belong. Justifying hauling of stones against elected state Governors for just no cause other than they are northern Governors shows an underlying gross and resentment you have against northerners and Amaechi. Mind you, no one has monopoly over violence, that some chooses to be democratic from some of you doesn't make them timid. Ppl that doesn't value or understand how democracy was fought and won put got it on the platter of gold due to sentiment are now bent on destroying it. I implore you to exercise caution in ur utterance, it smacks incitement, immaturity and desperation.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Blasted By Hague Court For Not Arresting Sudan's Bashir by Lordlexy: 10:12am On Jul 17, 2013
Well, it goes to show we are no longer a puppet in the hands of western country. But to avoid being caught up between 'Pharoah and the Red blue sea', gov't could easily had discouraged him from coming to avoid unnecessary confrontation from d outside would. Imo, that would have been a wise approach.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Blasted By Hague Court For Not Arresting Sudan's Bashir by Lordlexy: 10:04am On Jul 17, 2013
This shows we are not puppet in the hands of the west. But we most not forget that this same Al Bashir committed an unforgiving crime of ethnic cleansing against the ppl of s/sudan and as such, our govt should have discourage him from coming, that should have been wise enough instead of being caught up between 'Pharoah and the Red blue sea.

Even if a man of God decide to buy 10 air crafts, is it your money or gov't money? Pls don't bring religion into politics that will derail this rather enlighting thread. Tank u.

Nichobabe: I wonder why you can not get the message the guy is trying to pass, he is telling us to wake up and ask our leaders questions, let there be accountability and if not we should not blame the leaders when we the followers are not saying anything and keeping mute will not help anybody.

What is wrong with that?
And any time we try to hold d gov't responsible and call them to order using forum like, it is ppl like you that still label us as pro Tinubu or Apc. I guess you ppl are not serious, always looking for who to drag whth you.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Jet For Malawian President by Lordlexy: 1:14pm On Jul 16, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: I do not support fiscal recklessness in govt but I view every report from Punch these days with justifiable suspicion. PUNCH is Tinubu's dog, with no credibility.

Meanwhile, the NASS can organise a public hearing on this matter so that the true number of presidential aircraft and circumstances under which they were bought would be made exposed. Also, this issue can be tabled before the president at the next presidential media briefing.

I cannot judge based on what Tinubu says through Punch. We need to hear from all sides.

Some of the aircrafts Tinubu's Punch counted as part of the ten or nine may no longer be air-worthy. Ten cars can be parked in a compound but only five of the ten may be road-worthy.

Also there's nothing wrong in Nigeria sending an aircraft to pick up the president of Malawi. Yes, Nigeria is a poor country but Nigeria is far far richer than Malawi.
You seems to have lost your voice over time, pls forgive my manners. Government will always come up flimpsy excuses for actions tagged inapproaprate and anti -ppl. So, asking d National Assembly to weldge in wouldn't bring out anytin since they are equal partners in this treasonable act to bankrupt d ppl. There is no justifiable reason whatsoever for a ppl's govt to keep and maintain 10 aircraft, that is absord. The Punch news paper you are always quick to accuse have always proven all their findings beyond any reasonable doubt. They've always been factual. Deal with that.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Jet For Malawian President by Lordlexy: 12:10pm On Jul 16, 2013
Find Out!:
They are here! making the usual excuse that our problems did not start under Jonathan. Did Joyce Banda buy the jet that she sold? Why didnt Jonathan sell the jets Obasanjo left? WHY DID HE BUY MORE? Oya answer.

there you have the difference between a leader who comes in to solve problems and a leader who comes in to create more saying that afterall, he didnt start it! You see yourself now?
Find Out, may God continue to bless you for this short but prescise response to a rather epileptic post. These guys, i tell you are gross illiterate, always trying to spin even in a face of brazing evidence. Why would anyone play politics with the livelihood of over 160m Nigerians for a plate of porridge is just behind me. Pls, ignore them.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Jet For Malawian President by Lordlexy: 11:58am On Jul 16, 2013
solomon111: Most of those jets were not bought in jonathan's administration.
If you're looking for who to hold responsible,OBJ is still alive.
And what should a responsible gov't do? To sell off or add more? Lame excus. In a bid to defend you pay master, you become completely dillusional and pathetic. Even some of d die heart fans of d President bave distance themselves from this unspeakable act, but as cheap as u are, u still haven't seen anything wrong wit tis. This is not about politics, i don't defend any political party, but it's about dispassionately leaning our voice to condemn this heinous act that directly affect poor Nigerians out there.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Jet For Malawian President by Lordlexy:
ITbomb: Malawi just could not afford to keep the jets but Nigeria could
What is the essence of the African brotherhood if not to help one another .
That the government is spending excessively and the citizens lack to will to question or stop it should not be the fault of Jonathan.
The logic is this , if Nigerians cannot question their LGA Chairmen about the over N50m coming to council every months , why should they bother about how FG in far away Abuja is spending the free , unaccounted money
You are logically impaired. Who said Nigerians don't question d absordity and wastefulness of gov't? Even if u want to defer, next time, try to inject a bit of sense to it. The fact tat Nigerians don't question gov't doesn't give her licence to milk her dry. I don't know why i responded to ur post, u are not diff from d corrupt gov't we condemn. You are a corrupt minded person.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Jet For Malawian President by Lordlexy: 11:20am On Jul 16, 2013
Maxymilliano: It doesn't make any economic sense to continue keeping 10 aircraft for a government that is serious in curbing fiscal profligacy, the cost of maintenance and associated charges in keeping 10 aircraft is not healthy for the economy

Ihe grossly under-perforimg and under-productive legislatures should also wake up to their responsibilities and provide a semblance of checks on some of the activities of the executive rather than just serving as leeches and getting paid for doing next to nothing ...
A repentant Maximilliano. Welcome home prodigal son, we've been expecting you. That been said, i suppose, it is d same thing d opposition and offcourse well meaning Nigerians have been saying about d inability of d executive to limit its spending on frivoulities and channel such fund to generate employment. A government that is serious about providing gains of electoral promises will never engage in such excesses. This is a clear case of abuse of executive power, wastefulness and recklessness without d slightess interest of the masses at heart.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Is Behind Rivers Crisis - Tinubu by Lordlexy: 12:53pm On Jul 15, 2013
emmysenior: Tinubu won't have said otherwise.

Amaechi have been in romance with the ACN chieftains and have betrayed the PDP by doing so...

But if I may ask, why is Tifnubu dangling into other people's affair?

He should stop taking panadol for other people's headache.
He is a true democrat who has d love of d nation at heart, hence he is airing his views and concerns over d near collase of d nation by power that be. I believe, posterity will exonorate him as one who ever stood against an evil party like PDP who has held the nation by d jagular. Like him or hate him, he remains one man who is determine to rescue power strategically without thuggery or violence.

Don't mind him. Too many kids on this forum claiming to know yet know nothing. Every right thinking man who is not blind by partisanship knows tat d presidency is behind this break down of order in river. Tinubu just stated the obvious. It is now left for every well meaning Nigerian to condemned this heinous act of using federal apparatus to fight a political opponent. And also, d active conivance of d police and their excesses in this fracas should also be condemn, if not, this is a clear indication of what 2015 may look like.

1MCN: Self prophecy is highly effectual. I am a personal testimony of it's powers. But let me remind fellow Christians that that things never get to change just by chanting some prophesy canticles. You need knowledge--of the Word and Promises of God. Read the scriptures. Daily. Need I say pray constantly and trustfully. Ask God for directions in your challenge. Tell him to enable you make the changes in your life which you may require to break through your challenge. And be disposed to make any changes if he prescribes. Be charitable to other people. Wear a godly look. Smile (Dont tell it to the leaves of the bush part that your life is worse of. Never pretend either. Be real).
Be patient with God!
I say these, brethren, from a bitter experience. Today am a better person. Never be the type of Christian St Thomas Aquinas called Mercenary Christians-- who know God only when things are rosy. Or the types he described as Servile Christians--who come to Him when their ship is sinking.
God bless His Church and its adherents thru Christ. Amen.
May God richly bless you. And may your already filled cup over flowed. Amen.

I loved this aspect tho.

"When you know your picture of tomorrow and you'r sure about it, it would be enough to impart strength to endure the present difficulty of today".

I don't know what to make of this reality tho!
But here is a Muslim from the North Agreeing with a Christian from the South. It makes me weak. It makes me believe we can live as one in nigeria.

I'm an advocate of Abolishing Religion in Nigeria.. We have Muslim folks out there who would not be happy about this, and anger would be bottled up?
Al-musthapha has endured a lot for over 14years, A Major in the Nigerian Army then would probably be a Brigadier general today.

What I'm saying is that, Religion is a tool of segregation, it divides us as a people, what ever divides us makes us fall as its United we stand and divided we fall. Let's Abolish religion so Christains and Muslims can stand 2geda in love as in Pastor TB joshua and Major Al-Mustpha.

As for weda TB joshua is a real man of God, that is for God to decide.

If Nigeria must survive, Muslims and Xtians must live 2geda or the Religions just be Abolished and let people have peace..

Nigeria is a Marriage of Forced Religions, Forced Languages, Forced Cultures, Forced Ethnicities. Nigeria is a very inconvinient Marriage..

I don't Even believe in the concept of Marriage in the first place, not to talk of a Forced one.

When God divided people at the Tower of Babel with different languages, it was to create confusion amongst the People. Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo, are way to confused to understand themselves..

If the Hausa's say they want Boko Haram, give them boko haram.

If the Igbos say they want resource control, give them resource control

And see if the Yoruba people won't still be the most progressive of them all..

We have had enof of this rubbish called

1. Religious Intolerance.
2. Diverse culture forced into an unholy Union
3. We have had enough of Madness in Nigeria..

I will not take Patience Jonathan insulting Professor Wole Soyinka, because even Attaining the status of a Professor alone is no small feet not to talk of being a. Noble Laureate.

This project called Nigeria must be a joke.

Major Al-Mustapha, I'm happy you are out, and hav chosen to be a better person.
Nigerian justice system has held you for 14 years, when you're not Nelson Mandela.

We must Re-form Nigeria weda we like it or not or let everybody go their seperate ways.
I have been trying to make sense of ur contradictory post and where stand with respect to d Professor and d 1st lady, religion, unity and separation. With due respect, you tend to overflogged and over mixed them that i don't know where you stand. To start with, Chritianity is not a religion but d life of God in a man that makes him live and function like Christ. So your call for religion to be done away wit, leave much to be desire. Secondly, no tribe encourage disrespect to elders, so respect to elders is not an exclusive practice of the Yorubas except with some eye service which we know them for, and it is hypocritical. However, national issue should not be subjected to tribal or ethnic line of reasoning wit regard to respect to elders as pertaining Wole Soyinka and the 1st Lady. So stop bringing tribal mentality to national polity, it is not healthy. Also, you continue to enphasis on d Laurete won by d Prof, as much as that is commendable, if that is what you are holding on to as ur trophy for progressfulness, then our case is a hopeless one, when young ppl the world over are trailing new blaze in technology and health, we are here eulogising something that has no direct meaning to our present life. In between, i'm not a fan of the 1st lady, but i appreciate ppl that approach issue wit objectivity without prejudice. Thanks.

THAT SHOWS SOME RARE QUALITY IN THE MAN.
Spot on bro. It goes to show the difference between an experience and well tasted democrat, refined elderstate man and a complete gentle man from pathetic, unlearned, ethnic bigot whose stock in trade is threat and unguarded utterances. Like i said b4, ppl from the south south and south east with the exeption of Edo are barren politically and lack the political qualification to steer the ship of the country. It is obvious to most Nigerians now that violence, threat and rhetoric bullcrab is a default of their design. I earnestly desire to see him contest for one final farewell of torrential tears of despair . . .

It will be glorious experiencing such one last time cool
The General doesn't require your appeal to contest. He has never been, and will never. In a saner democractic clime, void of shady practices that your party is known for over d years, you and i know that, your candidate is never a match for him. With more facts emanating as this, i understand, your desperation is becoming obvious. Gradualy, ppl are getting more informed, and we are begining to realise that religious and tribal politics rather than competence and antecedent breed failure and short sightedness. If d General decided not to aspire this time around, at least history has exonorated as an upright man, devoid of stain of corruption, discipline and a true democrat. My question is, can the same be said of your paid master?

There is no need for too much grand standing and noise making, simply prop him for the presidency and get the usual verdict of the Nigerian electorates which is a resounding NO

That's all
The General need not to be prop. When d atmosphere is clear for proper politicking void of electoral fraud, malpractices that characterised our election, you will be surprise the land slide the General will emerge with. His popularity is growing on a daily basis, while the antics, skims, scam and desperation of the opposition, you inclusive is becoming more evident and appalling. I can assure you that, with such revelation, with more yet to come perhaps, i bet you, you are in for a shock.
