So what's the point of the lockdown with this crowd? In saner climes, the authorities cordon off the area while they work at resolving the fire. ![]() |
ayaade1:Thanks. Pls check your mail |
Dear Friends, I'm happy to announce my PPR after 178 days. Thanks to everyone that has contributed to this amazing forum. It all started here and I'm delighted to return here with my victory speech. The following are some things to note about my application * I submitted my application on deadline day * 100% POF was gifted and it was transferred by my brother a day before submission * I submitted 5 LOEs to explain everything that wasn't straight * I was interviewed in London and moved to IP2 afterwards My advice to new applicants * Before submitting your application, sit back and judge for yourself. If something doesn't look straight, use the LOEs to your advantage * You can do it without consultancy help. Just research widely and ask questions. * Interview request doesn't mean your application is complicated, in my case I was called to discuss settlement plans. Interviewer quelled my fears from the start by saying my application was great. * Order GCMS notes * If you find yourself in London VO, don't panic. Just ensure you get busy in other aspects of life and refrain from worrying over status of your application. They take their time in London VO as you'll see in my timeline. I'll update this list as I recall other points. Timeline Profile Created: April 14, 2017 ITA: April 19 AOR: July 18 Medicals Passed: July 28 IP1: July 28 NA2: July 31 FTD London VO: Sept 18 Interview Request: Nov 8 Interview Attended: Dec 12 IP2: Dec 12 PPR: Jan 12, 2018 Passport Sent: Jan 15 Approval: Jan 17 Passport & COPR Returned: Jan 19 Landed: Feb 15 Became PR: Feb 15 ___________________ Thanks to all members of the London Gang on WhatsApp, we've been like a family during the harrowing wait. In the 4th picture that wasn't released, the plate spilled its contents on the woman's chest. The fiance was scooping baked beans from her chest ![]() |

So much to catch up on here. Congratulations to all ITA and PPR recipients. Special mention @Cochtrane, much respect to you for the library of topics and links to FAQs you created. While some of us were thinking you were busy acting it out. Congrats and all the best in Canada. Tell them we dey follow you for back ![]() To all ITA recipients, don't be distracted by the London VO talks and processing times. Do your due diligence, present a tidy application and explain with all courtesy where you fall short. Should you fall in London VO, be assured it is not a death sentence on your Canadian dreams. You may be delayed but you will not be denied as long as you merit approval. God bless. |

Dear London Gang, I've been invited to Trafalgar Square for a chat and the interview is a month away. I just logged in and saw a new message. Thought it was RFV but it was a Request for an Interview. Now my CIC account can rest from frequent checking. |
Onlineise:Congratulations bro. I drew strength from your inspiring story, thanks for sharing. Now go ahead of us and let Canny know we dey follow you for back. ![]() |
Yooku:Today marks 80 days in NA2. I'm tired mehn, tired of analysing cases on immitracker just to determine possible PPR date. So I decided to take a 'siddon look' approach and focus instead on my travel plans. Let them take their time in Trafalgar Square...when it exceeds normal processing timeframe, I'll bring down their door. Good luck all London crew and all the best with travel plans. |
geebaby10:Take your time off the anxious wait and enjoy the remaining time before you fly out. Once I realized my application was moved from CIO to London VO I just took my mind off everything. I remember checking my CIC account every day, but not anymore. Wishing you the best outcome and a successful landing. ![]() |
Yooku: ![]() I admire your waiting attitude bro ![]() #SydneyGang |

Onlineise:Agreed bro. The enormous contributions made on that thread is invaluable. I got everything from it. Thanks for this part 2 @40manlappy |
cochtrane:Great job Cochtrane! This will go a long way in helping applicants who find it tedious to sift through the hundreds of pages on this topic. I wish we could have a library thread based on your post and future links added as discussions continues on the main topic. Well done! |
LordSebastian:The bold part got me rolling ![]() |
Hi All, Please help determine my current stage, I don't understand the recent update on my application. I got AOR on July 18 and background check was 'not applicable'. On July 26, I received an update with my medicals been reviewed, UCI assigned, and background check changed to 'we are processing your application. We'll inform you when we start your background check.' On July 31, I received the latest update which changed my background check to 'not applicable'. But my medicals result is still being reviewed. I don't know if this is NA1, IP1, or NA2. I expect to have passed medicals to be in IP1, no? |
Ehrnie:Amen bro ![]() |
Ehrnie:Thanks a lot Ehrnie. Congratulations on your PR ![]() |
Hi Guys, do you think it's necessary to send in a scanned copy of my UK Biometric Card along with my PR application? I apologise if this has been covered earlier, I just couldn't locate it. Thanks |
sehawale:It will come bro, relax. Start thinking of life post-ITA and potentially life in Canada. ![]() |
