Actually they did. They fought Spain in a bitter war that led Spain to grant similar autonomy. They were bombing Spanish assets and killing Spanish police

You should know that the guy was not talking about war but recent agitations. Nigeria and Biafra also went to war. But presently, the IPOB style of agitation is way too aggressive and confrontational compared to that of the Catalonians. But then, only a fool would have expected much from an unschooled miscreant like Nnamdi Kanu.

Only in Nigeria you expect love where there is injustice and they think Igbos will accept that kind of hide and seek love.

What love have you shown to the country?

See who is talking about president, my friend stop deceiving yourself and face reality, you don't have a president, just tell yourself the truth. How can you be proud of that thing as a president, are you not ashamed of calling that thing your president? For your insult, I can deal with it because you didn't say it to my face. You're doomed!

That thing is president over you and your family members. Deal with it!!! He has more worth, more respect and more power than all of you joined together.

QUALITIES OF A PRESIDENT.1. Accountability. A good president understands that he (she) is the head of the state. When the nation falls, he acknowledges his responsibility rather than blame his subordinates. He recognizes himself as the father of the entire nation. Hence, he treats the local government unit leaders as his children, and take responsibility in helping them whenever they face problems.

2. Respect. A good leader of a country respects the constitution, abides the laws, and honors the decision of the Supreme Court. He also listen and respect the views of the common people.

3. Cohesiveness. An effective head of the government promotes unity among his people rather than causing them to divide and have meaningless fights.

4. Humility. An effective president admits his mistakes and weaknesses. He also acknowledges that he’s not good at everything. That is why he leaves the other tasks to the other branches of the government, such as the legislative and judiciary bodies.

5. Honesty. An effective leader upholds truth and integrity. He preserves the trust and confidence given to him by the people. And of course, he doesn’t embezzle the funds of the nation.

6. Independence. A strong president is not a puppet. His actions are not a product of impartial decisions. He’s not manipulated by oligarchs or a few people who are thirsty of power and wealth of a nation.

7. Wisdom. A wise president knows how to discern right from wrong. He knows how to make the right decisions. He shows maturity of the mind. His words provide power and enlightenment to all.

8. Courage. A great leader of a nation has the courage to execute the decisions that he believes are right. He’s not afraid to stand and fight for righteousness for the sake of his countrymen.

9. Compassion. An effective president understands what his people are going through. He can feel the sufferings of the oppressed and poor people. He is not arrogant, rather he’s gentle and uplifting to people who are suffering from misery and pain.

10. Action. A great leader is a role model of hard work. He walks his talk and inspires his people through his actions. He makes sure that his promises are done and not broken.

11. Proactivity. An effective leader of a country is not insecure and reactive. Instead, he possesses intuit and initiative to create solutions for the present and future problems.

12. Passion. Great leaders do their job with enthusiasm. They serve the public, not because they are compensated with money and fame, but because that is their mission in life.

13. Commitment. An effective head of the government is determined to realize his great visions and dreams for the nation. Patience and persistence manifest in him.

14. Love. Finally, an effective president of a country has a selfless love for his (her) people and for all the next generations. All of the qualities above are difficult to practice, but because of his love, he does his best to practice them all. Now tell me; which of these qualities does your president possess?

You have no evidence to prove that he does not possess these qualities.

You think you are making sense. What has the fact that Buhari fought to keep Nigeria one got to do with the present agitation for restructuring and break up?
The number one person who is suppose to help people actualize their goal is issuing subtle threat and you are here playing stupid politics by citing irrelevant examples.

Be sincere with yourself. If you were the president, would you want history to remember you as the president under whose watch the country broke up? No government in the world wants its country to break up. Jonathan and an Igbo man Iherijika clamped down on MASSOB. Even a lawyer, Abraham Lincoln, went to war to stop America from breaking up. Buhari is not doing anything strange. Presently in Spain, the government declared the Catalonian referendum illegal and has been clamping down on seccessionist leaders.

I repeat, there is no government that would want its country to break up. No president would want to be remembered as the president under whose watch his country broke up.

I shake my head for this country. So of all the intelligent, handsome, hardworking and vibrant men we have in this country, this is the useless thing that is ruling this country. Iam so ashamed that this thing is the president of a country. Can you imagine..Lord have mercy.

If the president (the first citizen in Nigeria) is useless, I wonder what a nonentity like you would be. Obviously worthless.

If the man of hope can talk all these trash then there is no hope (or a hopeless hope) for Nigeria to ever unite. The man isn't fit to be a President.
For now I am after God and the dead Presidents.

No serious president will take nonsense from an aggressive group like IPOB

Till today, the local chiefs in Bornu are still being largely blamed for allowing Boko Haram to thrive in its earliest stage. Who does this useless lawyer expect Buhari to blame? I can't remember the state where crisis broke out under Obasanjo. Obasanjo gave the governor 48 hours to return the affected areas to normalcy. The governor in turn may have had to approach the local chiefs. That is how it should be. Everything should not be about the president to do. What were the Igbo leaders doing when Kanu was making threats up and down, including saying no one attempting to arrest him in Biafraland would leave there alive (a direct threat to our security outfits).

As for hate, I don't think Buhari hates Igbos. It is Igbos that definitely hate Buhari.

Listen, the only that can stop Biafra agitation is total restructuring. and we have a very small window for that. we should make use of it before it becomes too late. the quest of Biafra is seriously gathering momentum. The Python dance shifted alot of mindset to the Biafra struggle.

An average Nigerian soldier reflects the Nigerian society. Cruel and unfeeling. You cannot compare Spain with Nigeria. They are two different countries. The average Spaniard has respect for human lives and for the Law and their country. When they go on protest, they do so civilly. But an average Nigerian cannot be said to have much respect for his country or human lives? How do I know this? The rampant incidents of jungle justice shows just how cheap life has become in Nigeria. Then the number of people that support it just goes to show how heartless many Nigerians are or have become.

Now, let us examine the styles of agitation.

In Nigeria, Kanu's style is confrontational. You can't be aggressive toward the state and expect the state to pamper you. Respect is reciprocal. Threaten the US president and different agencies will start opening files in your name.

In Spain, the style of agitation has been more participatory and intellectual. And even in spite of this, the government is still hostile toward it. Now, imagine that Catalonians are using Kanu's aggressive style of agitation.

tokenism. that is the best term to describe those efforts, google that up. u want to compare the mere arrest of a handful of Fulani herdsmen ( who provably will be released later) with the cold blooded slaughter of unarmed civilians in Kaduna and the eastern part of the country?

u are even arguing my case for me, 2 herdsmen were arrested despite the fact that they have killed hundreds and virtually razed a whole village to the ground in Benue, that is laughable, but the same govt was quick to declare ipob a terrorist organization even though they were non violent.

Please, get out of here grin

Fulani herdsmen have gone on rampage and killed hundreds in different communities but not govt action against them, I am not even sure any of them has been arrested, but ipob that has not killed or used any violence was declared a terrorist organization, Shiites who did not commit any act of terror were slaughtered in their hundreds yet the Fulani herdsmen are free to roam, bro if u have a problem with comprehension please google the meaning of inequality.

guy people get paid based on qualification. Check up statistics. If going by your position, then why are you complaining of inequality? Are Igbos with right qualifications denied jobs based on tribe? Show me evidence of inequality. The only inequality I know is that between the rich and the poor.
