I know its scary when u hear the pilot announve that u have lost an engine mid-air especially on a 2engine aircraft. But that's still a PAN PAN call not a MAY DAY which is a dangerous call. So its easy to locate the nearest airport and declare emergency landing on one engine.
The worst call that u should be scared of is BRACE whuch means prepare fir crash/impact.
