Our ancient forebears didn't understand the world around them and so made up stories to try to explain some of the phenomenon they didn't understand, hence the idea of spirits, demons and the undead. Those don't exist in real life, they're just stories. Unfortunately for the gullible like you those stories have captured your gullible imagination and has made you accept them as real.

There is no hidden secret nor is there any actual magic.

Death is just an unknown and more primitive people had more to fear from the unknown than we do. We know that corpses don't wake up and walk about for instance. There is nothing to fear from the dead cos the dead are dead and do nothing.

Yeah people are more likely to be mistaken than to have encountered a spacefaring alien. Why would aliens travel millions of km and decide they need to hide but also appear to random people? It doesn't make sense. If an alien has the capacity to travel that distance then it would either be completely obscured from our observation intentionally or it would reveal itself openly. I may also be anthropomorphising but I think logic is universal just like physics.

My problem with the aliens in such pictures is they always seem to be humanoid. That says to me the human mind is so conceited that it always imagines the universe in its own image. Why do the creators of these pictures like to imagine the aliens are humanoid? Why do we think they couldn't be like orcas or elephants or even spiders?
