Finally I believe Sam no be only introvert but na recluse. This is though very relatable. Growing up some of us were indeed lily livered because we held on to the mantra that doing good brings about good happening to us but we got the rude awakening.

Chances are, you don't. But that's OK.
By sense, I mean
Do you have a functioning brain?
Can you communicate effectively without downgrading the other person?
Can you detect a change of moods and respond appropriately?
Can you put yourself in the other person's shoes (empathise)?
Are you open to constructive criticism?
Can you logically analyse a topic, objectively without bias and sentiments?
Can you agree with an opposing idea, if it's logical enough?

I ask again, do you have sense?
