noblezone: If i were Jonathan, I would had had removed the subsidy 100% and allow market forces to determine the prices of petroleum products. Subsidy is a killer of our wholesome economy.

In Biafra, we won't have subsidy. Money is nothing but just a means of exchange. Every citizen will have to be both be creative and productive, unlike what we have in Nigeria, where some people are doing nothing than to wait for government handouts.
subsidy is done in various sectors in the world so coming out to say Nigerians are waiting 4 government handout is so dumb. If our refinery is working @ full capacity all d government will nid to do is sell certain amount of crude oil @ reduce price to local refineries and @ d end there will be no nid 4 subsidy payment . If we are exporting 3 million bpd 4 instant . D government can sell 2.5 million @ international price and sell may be 500 barrels to local refinery depending on our consumption so dat the refineries can sell d refined product in the country @ a price lesser than international price.

kawkab: Please the poster should kindly note that Samsung Galaxy S3 has been globally recognised as one of the global leader in smartphone/android platform until the introduction of the likes of Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, and Sony Xperia Z. Tecno is nmot rated as a global brand and online and global benchmarking sites like GSM Arena and other do not really reckon with it. That does not mean it is not a good phone. However, the repeated comparism of Tecno and samsung is sickening.

Those that want to use Samsung should do so while those that want Tecno should also use their in peace.
they are begging 4 approval hence the comparison.

COOLDUN: You are the greatest liar i have ever come across in my whole life time, i am very happy that the Nairaland Boko Haram, members, sympathizers, loyalists and spokesmen are coming out from their shells. This shows that you can never cover pregnancy. Keep up you good work , i feel you all.

Buhari have failed my hands, this shows that he has a hidden agenda, APC risk presenting Buhari and automatically return GEJ un opposed. Today Buhari have shown the world that he is what people have been accusing him of being.

Vote for Buhari and vote for the final islamization of Nigeria, if he can be justifying the existence and activities of these barbarians. APC, with Buhari you have given PDP another many years.
u did not answer the question.have u live in any of those state b4? Do u think every body in the state have encountered boko haram member? I'm only askin because u stated dat u never saw militant in port harcourt but u were only hearing abt them. They are also ppl like u in those states, so why r u finding it hard to believe.
My point is I hate to compare boko haram to Niger delta militant Js as much I hate justification for Niger delta militants. Pls get my point clearly b4 calling different kind of names

kaecy5: i also lived in PH during that time

yes the militants kidnapped some white folks but they did not kill any
ph was no war zone i was living there at the centre of it. and during inter cult fighting they only attack members of the opposing cult group not innocent civilians except cases of collateral damage

they did not coerce govt into giving them amnesty, yar- adua came up with the brilliant idea, govt also brought up the amnesty idea for BK they refused it.

yes i support the destruction pipeline because i cannot understand how 70% of nigerian oil wells belong to northerners, would you allow me to own a land in your village by force??

so get your facts right and dont be deceive.

the BK boys have been killing innocent civilians irrespective of either they are Nigerians or not, they have been killing women children men boys girls.

stop defending evil. i dont think this is a function of religion it is a function of personal wickedness

on a short note, some one should tell them there is scarcity of virgin girls in paradise too many martyrs
so after the vandalization can u tell us how many percentage of oil well now belong to southerners

ireneidiva: I have lived in portharcourt all my life and I can confidently tell you that doing that period, I was just hearing, I never saw any militant activity. I went out freely and happily to where I wanted to go. Can the northerners say d same? Hw can u compare d boko haram thing to nd militants?
have u live in any of the boko haram state b4? Do u think dat most ppl there are not like u also who only hear and don't get to see or do u think is everybody in the affected state that encounter Boko haram. I hate to compare boko haram to ND Js as much as I hate any form of justification 4 Niger delta militant
Politics › Re: Buhari Faults Clampdown On Boko-Haram Members by loswhite(m): 8:28am On Jun 03, 2013
HNosegbe: If only it were that simplistic.

Two things hold true:

1. The Niger Delta had previously tried peaceful means (through the likes of Ken Saro-Wiwa) to get their LEGITIMATE grievances heard and addressed. We all know how that ended.

2. The Niger Delta is Nigeria's honeypot, the goose that lays the golden egg. The economic and political consequences of a long-drawn out war would have been deleterious for the entire country.

So you see, not only was the amnesty a means of compensating the ND for decades of neglect and oil spillage (the root causes of which, admittedly, have not been well-addressed), it was also the smart thing to do in the interest of the financial viability of an oil-dependent country.

That is, by and large, more than I can say for those 72 virgin-seeking Kanuri muffuguhs.

My point: they're not the same.
hw many percent of Niger delta militants represent the youth of Niger delta? I bet they are not up to 5percent of the total youth in Niger delta,so saying the amnesty is a means of compensation to the ND makes no sense @ all.
It is very annoying when ppl try to justify the Niger delta militant with all dis crap of development when we all know is a big lie. The northerners are sympathizing with Boko haram while the southerns are with Niger delta militant instead of both to come out and condemn their actions they try to compare and justify.... shizzle11: bless you. In my several political, social, romantic endeavours, I make room for two possibilities and I take any outcome in my strides, in this way, I don't get too hurt cos I already prepared my mind to take any negative outcome or rejection graciously.

However, it all depends on the reason and manner of rejection
since u prepare ur mind 4 two outcome after being rejected,u go back to been lovers right? Cos dat wat d op is asking lovers friends or enemies of which most ppl mistake keeping distance as bin enemies
Romance › Re: Friends After Turning Down A Marriage Proposal? by loswhite(m): 12:17am On Jun 02, 2013
alutacontinua: Being angry because someone turned down your offer is childish and immature. By offer, I mean any kind of offer. An offer is meant to be accepted or rejected. The 'offeree' should be prepared for any of the two outcomes. I just hate it when people ask you for something or ask to do something and you say 'NO' and they take it personal. That means they were practically trying to impose that thing on you in the first instance. There's a room for feeling bad but not ANGER!
in terms of relationship what is the difference between anger and feeling bad because the last time I checked anger is strong feeling of displeasure . Note dat their is a difference between anger, rage ,fury, wrath and resentment even tho they are all related to anger

Sanboy25:
I believe that the one who over-reacted to the refusal is foolish.
By doing so, not only he ruins all his chances with the lady, he also show a childish behavior: like a spoiled kid who trows a tantrum because he can't have what he want, that's an indicator of his immaturity. He asked the woman for marriage, so she has all the rights to refuse, he should have taken into account this possibility...
Being angry and over-reacting because a woman don't want you is pure stupidness... she is an individual who has the choice.
The man didn't overcome nothing psychologically because he didn't consider refusal.

It's the second one, the Wise one, who went through all the possibilities in his head before his proposal.
By staying calm when refused marriage, he overcame the deception and the flow of negative emotions toward the lady.
after rejection y should we still remain lovers? After rejecting sumbody u will still expect the person to call u as he/she was calling u b4 .once dat is not done u start claiming he/she is acting as if u r enemies, but that's not true . The rejected person Js nid sum time to heal and I fink the other party shud Js respect dat .

Les: I once said something like, I dont preach abstinence anymore, wat I teach is protection because abstinence is very impossible but protection is a real deal...

Wen u are veryhorny, even if u are disciplined would do anything to quench those desires but on the process, u can tell d man(probably not ur spouse to atleast wear a condom if u are disciplined). My reason being that human feelings are very irrational, wat u tink u wont do is wat u see urself doing, it's even in d bible.

Now back to d matter, if a man who's addicted to prostitutes gets married, I wont tell him to stop visiting prostitutes, but rather, he should see his wife as a one and d only one he would patronise.

Haven't u seen disciplinarian cheat b4, disciplined or not, humans will surely cheat, so to me, d only ting that will prevent one from cheating is not to stop anything dat'll make dem to cheat, infaat, encourage everything dat'll make one to cheat BUT channel all of them to ur spouse and cheat on ur spouse with ur spouse... grin grin I hope my theory makes sense....

sholay2011: Sir, some of your points are quite shallow and for how long would they last?

Your second point isn't it at all. So, I shouldn't have any friend that's female again because I'm now married? The ones I met before I met my wife should be shoved into past tense? Like seriously? I don't think so. cool
Fine, things wont be as they were when I was single and I would ensure my wife is my best friend but I would have other friends that are females. I would even ensure they become my wife's friend and boundaries can be set but no one is an island...not even a marriage.

Let me just stop my rant here.

Brilliance9000: An intelligent brother has spoken. Keep in mind that this message is not necessarily meant for sheeples, who turn on CNN, NBC, FOX, ABC, CBS, and assume that they are getting unfiltered news. If you have no sound understanding of what is happening around the world, particularly in Syria...NOW, then you have no clue as to what he is talking about and should remain quiet. Reading this thread and many others related to this topic, I'm ashamed by how ignorant, I mean, inherently ignorant most Nigerians are, and most of them are men in their 40s and 50s. You don't have to believe what he is saying, but if you were a smart person( required of an educated person), what you would do when some raises a point, don't reply in a hurry, you simply read what he has written, next think...what is the theme of his message? Could it be true or false? Who benefits from all these? ...learn to reason and think critically. If you are unable to reason by his post solely, you go online and research it. THIS IS HOW AN INTELLIGENT PEOPLE APPROACH ARGUMENT.

To all sheeples who are attacking him, Try getting your news from presstv.ir and rtnews.com, nsnbc.me, mathaba.net. These news agencies are not controlled by the global forces that control CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, FOX, CBS, AL JELZEERA.

Onyocha:

may God Almighty deliver Nigeria from the clutches of Israel and the US during this Jonathan (niger delta) administration.

last it was Iranian made weapons bought by gambia that Israel plotted to get ceased in Lagos, and the Iranians were arrested.

now Lebanese businessmen who are Shia Muslims and have nothing to do with salafist (shia hating) boko haram (a Wahhabi alqaeda affiliate) are now arrested and framed for "ties" with boko haram.as for "ties" with Hezbollah, what does "ties" mean? Hezbollah isn't depending on the money of businessmen to organize itself.hezbollah gets Iranian funds in hundreds of millions of dollars, and Syrian government support.

moreover, this would be a case of hypocrisy to the maximum.just last month when the Lebanese president,Michel Suleiman, visited Nigeria, the Lebanese agriculture minister Hussein Haj Hassan (a member of Hezbollah),accompanied him.he was one of the accompany members of the president's entourage.why didn't Nigeria arrest him? since when is Hezbollah a "terrorist organization" in the eyes of Nigeria? even the European union has so far refrained from designating Hezbollah as a "terrorist organization",and European officials often hold meetings with Hezbollah officials.german intelligence officials conduct prisoner exchanges between Hezbollah and Israel.hezbollah has MPs in the Lebanese parliament and ministers in the government, and represents the Shia Muslim community, which is the largest single religious community in Lebanon making over 40% of the total population.

as usual in Israel designed plots, the stories are either not consistent or contradictory.there is an attempt to link Shia Lebanese to Salafist/Wahhabi Boko haram.(note the west is supporting Wahhabi/salafist terrorists in Syria).and there is an attempt to link them for "ties" with Hezbollah "plotting" against Israeli and western targets.which claim are we going to believe? and the most sad, annoying and ignorant part is when Nigerian officials dramatize when the word "Hezbollah" is mentioned, without regarding the above stated facts.

Israel and the US should stop taking Nigeria as a field to execute their plots against their own enemies because our president is not a hausa man;a hausa man as president is known for being tough against western dictates .in Nigeria we live peacefully and embrace all foreigners and treat all strangers kindly.

what abt the weapons, Are they suppose to be in Nigeria ?

This is an insult to the people of Jigawa...this is a let down and injustice. A show of shame!
