My box is rejecting the HE-AAC software posted here does any body have any idea why this is happening?

It is not the I R Sensor that was faulty, the problem is from the main board. It has been fixed now by My Tv technician.

I would try and locate my tv technician cos it seems to be that the problem lays within the main board as the guy who restored the power issue said though he has his office where mytv and Hitv decoders are sold.

or is there any other way to identify mytv technician

I downloaded this software from a link posted on this thread and it upgraded my SRT69X without any problem I can forward it to any one who needs it

I did not drop my box in any way it had a power problem so I give it to a technician whom later restored the power but on getting home with the box I discovered that the remote control is no longer working with the box I have taken the box back to the guy and he told me that it has to do with the panel.
this guy in question seem to be at the shop where my mytv dealer logo is placed or it there any mytv office around port Harcourt

My 4669x box has stopped responding to the remote control. I have to use the manual scroll keys to change channels to watch. I can't do anything else without the remote. The remote is working with my friends' 9x. Any ideas pls?

My SRT53X box had same problem and I took it to a mytv shop around my neighborhood but am afraid they were unable to do anything about it
so please if you find any form of solution to your box kindly share it with me

2nite at 11.10pm Naija time. After much trial on how to use the rs232 cable i finally figured it out and i upload my STRONG SRT4669X with SRT4669ME_7111_ALL_109p_20100702 software. It loaded successfully and it removed the MyTV start-up screen and above all there was no discolouration problem.

My rs232 cable has diifferent configuration from the one posted on NL by Baba Egun. It took me lots of effort to finally figured out that my Pin 5 is not GREEN but rather it is YELLOW. This is the colour combination:

PIN 1-------BLACK     PIN2------BROWN      PIN 2------RED      PIN4------ORANGE
PIN 5-------YELLOW      PIN 6------GREEN      PIN 7------BLUE      PIN 8------PURPLE and
PIN 9------ASH.

So, my connection is:

PIN 2 (BROWN)-- to -- PIN 3 (RED)
PIN 3 (RED)-- to -- PIN 2 (BROWN)
PIN 5 (YELLOW) --to -- PIN 5 (YELLOW)
UNCLOTHED --to-- UNCLOTHED.

The MyTV start-up screen that was removed was replaced with STRONG, not just by name Start-up screen. My S/W VERSION now reads: 109p July 2 2010.

I beg help me with the configuration diagram for your rs232 cable cos since I bought mine from oversea I have not been able to make use of it for once. It will do a lot good if you can post it here for others to learn from.

Please confirm to the house if you reconfigured your rs232 cable after buying it cos I have one which I bought from overseas and each time I connect my computer to my STR 4669X with it the computer does not see the decoder not to mention updating it.

My SRT 4653x which had power problem was restored and it is no longer responding to the remote control I have taken it to the tech whom fix the power and he said it is the remote censor but like it is now it is obvious that guy does not really know the cause for this and he has returned it back to me does this mean that I can no longer fix cos I still need this box to be doing some tracking while my 4669x will be doing the viewing.

out of curiosity I deleted all the channels and did a blind scan. since then till this morning it is working just fine.

my SRT4669x is behaving some hoe strange. when it is put on after some time it freezes even the remote control no longer work with it.
my question now is: is this a fault or is it normal.

please some body should help oo cos I just bought the box not up to a month now

go to your menu using the remote control select manual scan if you are using strong decoder then add the new transponder code if there is any using the add TP button. good luck to you

The problem is the sensor in the Decoder. It is either unplugged, dead or there is obstruction from inside. Get a qualified technician to check it. My brand new 4669x is also exhibiting similar problem after just 2 months of usage. I have turned it over to MyTv Technicians. Goodluck brother.

that was exactly what the technician said. it is just that I am not ready for it yet as I already have a brand new SRT4669x that I am using to watch Multi Tv for now though I planned using it to do just only tracking while the 4669X will do the watch.
