Please what are the recommended things one should do on a new Redmi phone.

- MI account created.

- linked to Google account.

Been hearing about G-CAM but don't really know what it is.

Also, what should one do to lock the phone and prevent someone to use it if it unfortunately gets stolen.

Can one create two users for the phone? Like if you unlock the phone, you can put one password for user A and a different one for user B, just like it's done on Laptop.

Please drop tips and recommendations to get the most out of the phone.

Thanks.

Recommendations please

Saw this post and some where of the opinion that it's as a result of healthiness. Others were saying it's because of pH imbalance, that means it's not healthy.

What could be the cause?

most phone at slot are not original

What the heck?

Can you buttress further?

Like how will one know?

Is it from the name on the phone?

Is it from the UI?

Is it from the carton used to package the phone?

How do you know which one is fake?

bassdow:
No
it doesn't affect the phone.

Since the phone's charging port, and the charge controller USB port following standard specification, which amongst others, gives 5v 1A or 2A, it wouldn't spoil the phone.

It supplies the phone with 5volts, while the phone draws the amount of current it needs

Thanks for your clarification.

I understand better now

mvphenryeto5:
Bro you bought panel, CC and battery just to be charging your phone with usb?

No o.

I bought it for laptop.

There's one DC distributor from my battery that I can use to power my laptop, so no need for inverter.

Initially, I bought only the battery to be charging it with NEPA.

But with their wahala, I later go 100watt panel.

Obnoxious2001:
No it doesn't

Okay.

Thanks a bunch

jplambert:
I advise you buy an inverter even if it's just sachet INVETER. You can get sachet Inveter for as low as 30k. Yes, you can use the usb port on the controller but not advisable

Thanks.

Will budget for that

Gshems:
Buy sachet inverter. Less than 25k

I read it like satchet water.

Don't know, is it pure sine wave?

I heard apart from pure sine wave inverters, others use to damage stuff.

Polaris1:
Been charging with similar CC for 3 years.
Excellent for one phone connected.
With 2 phones, it simply shares the current to the 2 phones - slower charging.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

I can now use it without worrying

jplambert:
Why do you want to use charge controller to charge phone when you can easily connect it to power outlet?

Nepa hardly bring light.

And I don't have inverter.

Just panel, charge controller and battery

acorntree:
. No, it won't affect phone battery life but not a fast charger , very slow in charging

Thanks.

So far it won't affect the phone, no problem.

No inverter for now, the charge controller, battery and panel is what has been sustaining me

Azazyel:
Thank God you gave him proper advice. That Redmi A3 is packaged crap for 100k+

Would have made same mistake.

Wanted to go for A2+ since it was below 100k.

But when I saw that it runs on Android GoogleGo, I became curious and decided to make a little research.

Asked about it on nairaland, and trust ogas them, they did justice to it, explaining how the GoogleGo edition have some restrictions.

I had to think twice.

acorntree:
then use DC to 5v converter if you're afraid of making mistakes with DC to DC converter adjustment. buy something like this below. first picture is DC to 5v converter , input voltage is 9v -- 18v, so it can be used with most solar panel with 50w to 150w , 18v output . the second pix is pwm charge controller with USB port for phone charging , you cant use this without a battery. it will burn out the circuit if connected directly to solar panel.

if you don't have access to any of these just buy car phone charger and use 100 ohm 5w resistor in series with +line, when connecting to the solar panel. but take note of the polarity+&-. but most car charger can only trickle charge that is slow in charging unless you can get 3A, 5v type.

Thanks for your input.

Please this charge controller that has USB port, does it affect phone?

Like Will it affect phone battery life or something similar?

Thanks

Please does charging phone with charge controller affect the phone?

Does it spoil phone?

Any input or experience.

I'll just use the USB port and put cord.

The image attached is the type of charge controller.
Thanks

Thank you for your response 🙏

Don't know much about Redmi phones, but from what I learnt, Redmi A phones run on Android GoogleGo and this have some kind of limitations.

So it would be better to go for Redmi 13c
