Henry240:Just for those who don't know Bulgaria is a NATO COUNTRY (2004) That means they were obligated to get rid of their Russian made Airplanes and acquire US made or NATO manufactured Aircraft with Soft loans from Uncle Sam. |
bidexiii:Honestly I don't want to speculate. Usual Procedure when a Plane is stricken I.E. it is in bad shape and has to land / penetrate foreign airspace they radio ahead and the plane will be directed to the nearest airfield. And also for security reasons it will be escorted By Jets from the Nearest Airbase. This does not appear to be the scenario. Don't know whether Algeria 1 has any information on what happened. |
Toju200:Bro why don't you just wait till the NAF releases it. You certainly see to be in a rush to gather certain information. |
Henry240:\ TURKEY is the biggest loser in this it takes years and $M to train a pilot to be able to fly a plane like the F35 Years of R& D and Manufacture and infrastructure set up. now ALL THAT IS GONE Russia will sell the SU35 They will not set up shop in TURKEY PUTIN ain't that stupid. Pilots will now have to be retrained on the SU35 |
The NAF carries out on a daily basis. Close Air Support ISR Medevac. @$!# Missions In addition the NAF conducts bombing runs and hot pursuit in Niger. These are the facts. |
Toju200:The guy is on a fishing expeditions in recent weeks bh has suffered horriffic unsustainable losses hence they are lying low . I would not bee surprised if this is a closet informant for bh I am not going to give him any information he does not know NIGER AND CHAD between the two of them have barely two serviceable HELICOPTERS NIGERIA/ FRANCE / US provide AIR COVER for NIGER The NAF provides air cover for our troops in close up battle support operations The NAF was the difference in the BATTLE OF AON ( The video Is there) The NA MAINTAINS their hilux trucks and TANKS not that there is much to maintain anyway change the engine oil / tires and brakes you can train a MONKEY to do that BH do not maintain their captured equipment recent captured equipment attests to that. People should not give credence to this troll/ closet symapthizer |
Odunayaw:They don't like to wear the helmet 24/7 And when photos are being taken they ( Soldiers ) take of their Helmet. |
Xbee007:This particular MRAP (ARA 11) was made by PROFORCE not the NA though the NA had input. the recent IFVs and LTIV that were displayed by the NA are IMHO still can be regarded as prototypes and like the ARA will be improved upon with time and eventually I expect the manufacturing will be handed of to a private company. |
bidexiii:First female Bodyguard to the COAS. |
rka2:Quick question what is the plan for the helicopter type? |
MiddleDimension:I am just wondering how much some NIGERIANS How mUcH SOME Nigerians hate Nigeria what is the unit quantity of hatred It is a freaking game @#$You want Nigeria to lose so you can rejoice WTF?? When South Africa beats Nigeria ( and they have and will in the future do you think the Southies will include you in their celebrations take a fvking chill pill. |
Odunayaw: |
Odunayaw:This is preceded by hierarchy LT.GEN Buratai reports to the CDS . GEN Olonishakin LT. GEN Adeosun reports to LT. GEN Buratai. regardless. |
EVarn:The COAS is recognized as the most senior The COTO is subordinate to the COAS by virtue of the ARMY'S Hierarchy which list the six chiefs on the same level as a GOC of a Division. in short the COTO reports to the COAS The COAS is one of 4 : CNS, CAS , COAS AND IG that report to the CDS CDS reports to the President. |
Henry240:Like the thickness of the door. I didn't know the top of the roof had hatches for the Soldiers to escape or even return fire |
Henry240:.. You can't be a Navy Seal. You can't belong to the elite of the Israeli Elite SF if you don't know how to wield an AK47 |
Odunayaw:Typo right You meant Nigerien Troops |
Let me say a few words on 61Mech's comments. He means well and he is coming from a genuine point . This is my take. Nigeria cannot afford to keep hurling millions of dollars buying hundred of units of APCS and MRAPS to the detriment of undermining their own modest Military industrial Complex. I am not being jingoistic. Most Countries South Africa included spend $B on R&D and are very reluctant on two things 1 T .O.T 2 Third party Sales. For years the NAF had a single problem with the hydraulics of their Russian built M -Series Helicopters. Helicopters were grounded over this issue till the NAF solved this problem themselves with a plastic Diaphragms. Like Henry and I agree there is a lot of streamlining that can be done, However Nigeria needs to start from somewhere. I also would like to see DICON handover at some point to a private company with the infrastructure to ramp up the production of these APCs and MRAPS at some point. |
Like the high clearance. Like the 360 degrees turret all round protection. Critical thinking 1.Weight. 2.Level of Ballistic protection 3.4×4 or Simple rear axle drive. 4. Armament ? 30 Calibre or 50? 5.LMG or HMG |
I don't think lionel4power did any research before he went after the UK https://www.defensenews.com/global/europe/2019/01/10/uk-defense-chief-f-35-jets-are-ready-for-operations/ This took me 2 minutes to locate. 1. The UK will be investing in its air force to the tune of $1B 2.T hey are signed up to buy a minimum of 48 F35 as their first tranche and that number would reach 100+ regardless of whatever they decide to do with the TEMPEST 3. The UK with two of the most ultra modern Aircraft Carriers at $1B+ / each, can reach any part of the world and thus remains a Nation not to be trifled with at any point in time. |
Henry240:Out of curiosity I wonder if Serbia and Nigeria would have a TOT agreement to upgrade the T-72 Tanks. |
bidexiii:This looks like a sniper shot but from a ( Heavy) Anti- Material type Rifle. ![]() |
question 1. Which MJNTF member is operating it? is NIGERIA interested in buying it? |
Don't feed the troll. |
https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2019/06/24/unveiling-the-navys-first-indigenous-maritime-chart/ Congratulations Nigerian Navy |
When a 500lb bomb hits the ground . This is what happens. There is a kill zone radius that propagates outwards . The blast and concussive effect will also suck out all the oxygen in that Area. Whether a Bldg structure is hit Which is the logical choice because it evident something is being stored there or someone standing underneath a tree it won't make a jot of difference. The Chances of survival depend on how far away from the blast radius you are. This also one of the reasons why Blue on Blue is still prevalent as recently as 2016 with the US Armed Forces. |

Most of these New NATO Countries are liability Nations Latvia, Estonia Lithuania Russia would roll through them within a week. Estonia is the only one that ACTUALLY spends money on being NATO compliant. It is doubtful that Lumbering Antonov would be sent into the Air for these Countries. However there is textbook War and there is real War . Let's hope We will never have to find out. The loyalties of Turkey as per being a NATO Member is also something We hope NATO does not have to find out. |
shadowprimezero:You have just given me a brilliant idea. Thanks and God Bless. |
shadowprimezero:We can all now take a deep breath and stop hyperventilating. |
Henry240:Another important aspect of this trip I hope would be lessons learned on Maintenance and Efficiency of Logistics.Something that in the past has been an Achilles heel. Now that the 2019 Budget has finally been approved I hope the NA aviation wing will get their first set of Helios. |
