If you ask me I would say Nigerian army has no business making vehicles. Rather, they should state the specifications they want and allow different companies across Nigeria to bid for the project. Although, Nigerian army can assist this contractors with R& materials so as to enable them do a better job.

However, if Nigerian army insist on making their vehicle themselves it should be a collaboration between DICON and other private companies not Nigerian army going in on it alone.

I respectfully disagree. In my opinion, what the Army needs to do is to invest heavily on HESCO barriers with stacks of three on top, sentries and patrols to give adequate situational awareness and of course area denial weapons like mines. A well protected pillbox on watch towers armed with HMG's would be cheaper and more reliable than Gatling guns. Trenches surrounding the base also need to be deeper and leave limited points of entry to create a bottleneck to attacking forces which will turn into an awesome killzone for motars and HMG's

FOB's have to be built in relative proximity to each other and also fire bases so as to be able to render reinforcements and artillery fire support from a distance when a sister base is under attack. The key is a mutual defence arrangement.

African armies don't usually have aviation wings. Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, RSA rotary aircrafts are used by the individual "airforces" of the respective countries. This trip to the US is very important.

If you're talking about the avaition wing of a developing country, then, yes we are. We're under-studying the Army Avaition Wing of the Colombian army.
