The average nigerian is so frigging daft. |
Lucifyre: Gabrielshow24: |
Gabrielshow24:Not my fault your attention span's been zapped due to consuming info exclusively through indoctrination. I simply wanted to state and buttress fact, fact backed by academic scholarship. So convincing or having back and forth with someone who participates in a clown show of believing in a text, which himself and others who hold faith in said text can't even seem to agree themselves on anything, while claiming it as the beacon of truth would be a fool's errand 😅. Facts are facts. It's why we enjoy when similarly, flat earthers marinate in their delusion. Its why we don't take the word of supposed "divinely inspired" schizophrenics who hear voices in their head and claim we live in a geocentric modelled universe according to their texts when in fact its the opposite. Facts don't care about belief or mental gymnastics. Thanks for coming to my TED talk 😁 |
jaephoenix:I've written about the flood on here, its basically a very common ancient near eastern myth/motif that was copied like most Nigerian movies 😅 from myths of older cultures way before the copiers. Lets not even get into the book of Genesis which also copies and adopts common motifs found in other ancient near eastern epics/stories like Enuma Elish, that they had to edit, redact and retcon to make it different with Genesis 1 added to the original anthromorphosized creation story of Genesis 2. The depiction of Yhwh in the typical storm and warrior god trope of ancient eastern cultures to the extent he was coalesced and conflated with Baal another storm god and El, the cheif god of the canaanite pantheon. Also the whole relationship between Yhwh and Isreal written in the trope of a typical relationship between a Suzerain and its Vassal as was common in the ancient near east before been used as a trope in the book of fables and contradictions. Lest i forget the adoption of even cultic rituals typical of... you guessed it, other older cultures of ANE, a clear example is YHWH and Abram getting into a convenant and passing over a split calf to sign their pact. Do we forget the adoption of the timeline of ageing like the Sumerian King list and other older ANE cultural tropes following same pattern and as you pointed out the Decalogue and all the fvcking contradictng laws of the Deuteronomistic and preistly schools influenced from the code of Hammurabi, and this is just parts of the Torah, not even gotten to the Nevii'm or Ketuvihm. Especially the Psalms and wisdom literatures like Job, where more copy, paste, editing, redactions, retconning(especially the polytheistic retcon) and contradictions can be found that its basically a consensus in scholarship that even reputable Christian scholars like Mark smith admit to the influence. Then one empty random on the internet is spouting dross😅, lets not even get into the original authors and psuedepigraphy, or historical contexts or translational ot textual criticism and context. If only they'll spend as much time educating themselves about the context of their book of contradictions as much as they spend defending their god. |
Typical Barbara Streisand effect. |
Padipadi:🥱 |
Padipadi:🤣 See christ like xtain defending his god. |
Padipadi:😄 No need to keep foaming at the mouth, relax and drink water. Oh! sorry i forgot, water's your enemy right now, like common sense. Anyways didn't know you're the resident gateman here, duly noted. I'd still post whatever the fvck i want, you can keep barking and foaming, its all empty noise. |
Dtruthspeaker:Ah yes! Selective amnesia the ultimate tool in the arsenal of a dedicated hypocrite. |
Padipadi:Lol! You could easily have scrolled past if it bothered you that much, but you chose the typical christain foaming at the mouth rabid approach. Not my fault your religion's a joke and parody of itself. |
Yorimichi:Like the other comment stated it's indeed a great starting point. |
Dtruthspeaker:You that convulsed over my mentions severally despite the silent treatment i gave you or do you need receipts to remember 😄 |
Yorimichi:😅 Don't know why i find that word funny, i simply take facts, and data over dogma. |
Yorimichi:Looking forward to reading it, its quite an interesting topic. |
Religious people are extremely myopic and outright delusional. The funny thing is some religions/denominations feel superior, turn their noses up at the others all because their brand of delusion is different. Which is quite funny and proves them even more myopic and delusional than they're realise. Your mythical god designed the world in a way where everything is trying to kill you, why make it easy to be killed when we've found solutions to avert em. That's where the delusion comes in. |
YOu guys have arrived again with your garbage youtube misinforming, dross. How can the Ethiopian bible be the original bible when its based on the translation of the Septuagint to ge'ez, when the Septuagint itself is also a translation itself, a translation of the Hebrew bible to greek. So in what world is a copy considered the original, when its not just a copy but the copy of a copy?! That's not even considering the fact that there is no "the bible" as objectivity's miles away from the book, so even claiming "complete" is a farce. The different religions and denominations that spawned from it all have their different canons with protestants having the fewest and the orthodox the most, not even considering the differing translations(same spirit of god thats not an author of confusion inspired all these, Lol!). So if any one has a claim to be the original, it has to be the Tanakh( the Hebrew bible) as it came first, with the dead sea scrolls serving as its oldest manuscripts that far predate the earliest manuscripts of the ethiopian bible. Original indeed, get this your misinforming crap out of here. Going to even report the video on youtube since clickbait nonsense is you guys only m.o for traffic. |
Yorimichi:What you've stated here is nothing but absolute fact and aptly put. When you look at the context of the creation of the texts - from writing to editing to redaction to copying - and the historical & cultural context as well as against the backdrop of the region of the ancient near east, there's no how one wouldn't come to that conclusion. Different authors covering different time periods, writing for different audiences trying to pass their own agendas and for distinct purposes. This is not even considering the evolution of their beliefs from polytheistic to henotheistic to finally monotheistic. Also the coalescing or conflation of YHWH with Baal and the chief god of the cannanite patheon El. It results in different perspectives that are not univocal and can only be univocal by outright mental gymnastics and renegotiation of the texts and that's undeniable hard fact. Suddenly storm/warrior god YHWH, suddenly turns around to say he loves everyone after several genocides and becomes a god of love yet he doesn't change?! Its nothing short of mental gymnastics. Even the creation story in Genesis depicts 2 different gods as its 2 different writers with different perspectives, which is why you find the details and order of creation in the first(Gen 1:1 - 2:3a) differs from thr creation story from 2:3b before they were conflated and passed as a singular story ergo lots of contradictions. The second story even gives god anthropomorphic features as i think you pointed out in another comment. The whole bible, same story plays out. |
czarr:Is this a joke or are you being purposefully dense or is it just willful ignorance?! Same religion that's responsible for deaths of millions throughout history some even belonging to the same religion but different denominations killing themselvez. Spin a different yarn abeg. |
ukaface:Binary thinking and a shallow mind. No surprise really, carry on then. |
ukaface:What kind of binary black and white thinking is this?! Since when are there only 2 extreme options void of nuance for any set of available choices?! Nevertheless i get ur point, even if poorly presented. If I'm presented with 2 options one who rocks her natural hair/african hairtsyles as against another who wears a hairtsyle they can never naturally have?! The first would be my option anyday cause it shows confidence in self. |
RoiNews2:I can only laugh at the bolded, by title usage you mean clickbait, frigging joke. Why would i watch a click bait, Ai regurgitating crap video without sources meant to clearly misinform. Even someone who started "biblical histories" yetserday knows the only undisputed claims known about the historical Jesus was that he was baptized and crucified, nothing more. Making claims about a letter using clickbait headlinez like its just been found when in fact its clearly apocryphal and a late interpolation with the timelines not matching, nor are there any such manuscripts containing said letter. Neither are these manuscripts referenced by authors of the earlier written gospels which were even still written decades later is plain misinformation. Not a single reputable source would back this your lie. |
ukaface:Basically inferiority complex with a dose of messed up self esteem. If you don't accept yourself, who would accept you. Herein lies the problem. |
RoiNews2:Its not misinformation but you took it down?! |
Natbrowny:Your comment reminds me of the Monkey ladder experiment that demonstrates social learning conformity and the power of cultural norms. In the experiment 5 rhesus macaque monkeys were placed in a cage, a ladder was then introduced with bananas on top. Whenever a monkey climbed the ladder, the entire group was sprayed with cold water. Initially, the monkeys were eager to climb to get the bananas, but after repeated spraying they associated ladder-climbing with discomfort. Eventually, no monkey dared to climb the ladder. when a new monkey was introduced to the group, it would attempt to climb. The old guys would aggressively beat up the newly introduced guy. The researchers started replacing individual monkeys with new ones. Despite none of the original monkeys remaining the new monkeys still avoided climbing the ladder despite not knowing why not to climb it. I think same thing applies here, also people seem to forget that correlation does not necessarily equate causation. |
Bwilliam:Thanks, reported it as well. This is why i find it funny when some ignorant people on here would use same youtube as a source authoritatively even with the massive amount of misinformation on there. |
jaephoenix:Dude literally made me lol! |
GothamCities:😄 |
Nigerians hate it when you hold up a mirror to their face revealing their true reflection. The cognitive dissonance is so strong because deep down they know they look like pure unadulterated shit. |
I'll never understand Nigerians and frothing at the mouth like rabid dogs because someone chooses to live in a way that doesn't line up with their myopic world view. |
eepeepook:The brain and opposable thumbs dude, those things gave us bastard advantages, its quite interesting. Dinosaurs were here before us bigger, stronger, faster but if the same thing that wiped them out reoccurs we have a much higher chance of survival cause of those 2 things and have made much progress than they could even dream or imagine. Our DNA has 98.8% in common with chimps but look what we've been able to do with that small 1.2% advantage in a relatively short period of time compared to the age of the universe, see the fucking pyramids predating even the sumerians. Truly fascinating! We are God?! Can't argue that. |
198800Mam:Thank you very much. So much misinformation presented as facts and people have unfettered access to the internet to educate themselves. |
Ignorance is truly a disease. This one most likely attended a university. |
