Where are those tribalism elements crying since
Insecurity in Niger delta forced all oil companies to relocated their offices to Lagos and Abuja,.
We from that side didn't blame any tribe.

Politics#EndSARS: Femi Adesina Blames Churches, Mosques by Luckydubby7(op): 6:30am On Oct 23, 2020
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has blamed churches and mosques as well as some sections of the media for promoting messages of hate.

He added that the #EndSARS movement was a vehicle of hate messages.

The President’s spokesman said this in an article titled, ‘If Nigeria Dies, Hatred Killed Her’.

Adesina wrote, “The EndSARS campaign began as an agitation against police brutality, in which there was unanimity of purpose. And suddenly, it became a vehicle of hate. Against leadership, against national cohesion, an opportunity to settle political scores, and equally prepare for power grab in 2023. Hatred came into the mix.”

Several influential clerics including the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, had openly expressed support for the #EndSARS protests even as the RCCG posted a video and stories of some of its youths that were victims of police harassment.

However, Adesina said many churches and mosques used the campaign to spread messages of hate and division.

The President’s spokesman added, “When things boil over in graphic demonstration of hatred, it is a culmination of negative sentiments and tendencies. They come in persistent negative postings on social media, which generate and stimulate hate.

“From hateful messages from the pulpit, as if that was the message of love Jesus Christ handed over to his followers. From unduly critical messages during jumat services. From radio and television programs, in which bile is spewed. From talk shows which become a harangue of government, newspaper articles and columns tailored to instigate and generate dissent, and the like.

“Eventually, all cumulate in hatred, which finds expression in genuine causes like the EndSARS campaign. When things boil over, they leave sorrow, tears and blood in their wake, as we have seen. And who suffers? The whole country. Who bleeds? Nigeria.”

Adesina said the agitation by youths against injustice and oppression suddenly took on a variegated nature.

He added that separatists came under the umbrella and began to advance their cause, working for the dismemberment of the country.

“Those beaten black and blue in the 2015 and 2019 elections also crept in, and asked for their pound of flesh, while also plotting for a return to power in 2023,” the President’s aide said.

Adesina expressed shock over the sudden turn of events which led to killings and the destruction of public property.

Taking another swipe at religious institutions, he wrote, “Hatred is evinced from many quarters for Nigeria, and for its government and people at any given time. It comes from churches, mosques, professional activists and agitators, interest groups, some elements in the media, so-called analysts who never see anything good, and so on and so forth.”

Adesina claimed that the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), had discussed with him how he was impressed with the then Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, and the reforms he was implementing in the institution.

He, however, did not say why Buhari failed to extend the tenure of Arase despite his achievements.

The President’s spokesman added, “The President told me how much he had been impressed with Arase, and how he regretted that the man spent just about a year with him. He then told me of the police of his dreams, and how he wished he got someone who would translate the dream into reality.

“So, when the President said in a speech to the protesters last week that comprehensive police reform was coming, I knew what he had in mind. If only we would be patient and let him implement the five-point demand of the protesters, which he had accepted. But alas, the protest took another hue and nature, different from the original concept and focus.

PoliticsLekki Shooting: LASEMA Debunks Refusal To Rescue Protesters by Luckydubby7(op): 6:00am On Oct 23, 2020
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), has debunked allegations making the rounds in the media that it refused to come to the aid of protesters during the shooting incident at Lekki on Tuesday night.

The Director-General, LASEMA, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, made the declaration during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Thursday.

Oke-Osanyintolu said that the attention of the agency had been drawn to various allegations of their refusal to come to the aid of protesters.

The director-general categorically debunked the allegation that there were no “instructions’’ not to respond to incidents.

He said: “Our personnel and vehicles have been attacked and harassed since the protest started, and we have struggled to maintain a presence while still keeping our personnel safe.

“Our emergency response lines (112/767) developed a fault early hours of Monday morning and in spite of a number of failsafe and temporary fixes, went into shutdown mode on Tuesday.

“To forestall any incident, we circulated alternative numbers including the direct line of the Director General/CEO.

“ALERT: A major electrical fault has affected the 112/767 lines. Urgent repairs are being effected.

“The Emergency Services can be reached via WhatsApp 07025004985 and voice 08060907333; 08033391151.

We regret the inconvenience.’’

Oke-Osanyintolu said its personnel were simply terrified by the angry mob that stormed the Lekki Dispatch Centre on Tuesday night.

According to him, even today, LASEMA responders and the other emergency responders have been unable to respond to fires due to our vehicles being attacked.

He said that one of LASEMA paramedic interns, Morinola Omobukola, had been hit by a bullet while on duty at 4pm on Wednesday, adding that she had been taken to the Trauma Centre at the Toll Gate for treatment .

The LASEMA boss, therefore, appealed for calm and understanding while the agency attempted to play its part in keeping Lagos residents safe.

Oke-Osanyintolu, however, sympathised with all those who have lost loved ones and fully acknowledged the rights of Nigerians to peacefully protest while making their demands known.

That's why I personally attributed what happened yesterday to Lagos State governor.
He wasn't d first governor to impose curfew and there were records of soldiers killing peaceful protestors.
PoliticsEndsars: “we Switched Off Lekki Billboard On Sanwoolu’s Order” – Loatsad Media by Luckydubby7(op): 7:08pm On Oct 21, 2020
Loatsad Promomedia has issued a statement clearing up rumours that it played a role in the attack on #EndSARS protesters at Lekki Tollgate on Tuesday evening.

The media company owned by Seyi Tinubu, son of Popular Lagos politician/APC national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, disclosed that they shut down their billboard at the Lekki Toll gate based on an order by the state governor, Baba-jide Sanwoolu.

The statement read in full:

“When we started in 2014, we had a plan to change the perception of African start-ups in the global space. We believed as Africans, we could create something great and we set out with a N4m loan from a bank and we started trading, going from door to door begging for work and relentlessly grew the business employing and empowering over 200 Nigerians today directly or indirectly. We have supported many upcoming businesses, artists, people in need as giving back to our community has always been our passion (all this can be verified).”

“All of our achievements thus far have come the from hard work, sweat and determination of our work force and everything Loatsad has been doing has been open, all taxes are remitted and payments to agencies and regulatory bodies have been timely, so we can be proud to say we are contributing the growth of the industry and Nation.”

“When the “EndSars” and “say no to police brutality” protests started from day one we wholly supported the movement and used all our platforms to promote the messages (I believe the promoters can verify this information) as we believed in the cause.”

“On Tuesday when the curfew was announced we heeded the governors warnings and didn’t want our staff in any danger, hence by 3pm our staff had been ordered to leave the site and the board was switched off based on the governors curfew request.”

“We had no idea what was going to happen and we feel the same anguish, pain and shock at the events that unfolded and our hearts and prayers go out to the victims and families of this ungodly act.We believe in this movement and that it was the start of the change our generation needed to move our country forward and we will continue to support the youths of this great nation.”
