EdiskyHarry:
To all APC members,
Go to any filling station, just show them your APC ID card and fuel will be sold to you at 100 naira per liter.
Go to the market with your ID card and things will be sold at a cheaper rate to you.
Go to any bank, don't forget your APC ID card, the bank manager will rush and attend to you and you will go home with excess money as you want.
At least these are the benefits of being the most senseless human being under the disguise of supporting APC.
But you Obi supporters are not proving any different now.

Just shallow minded and selfish dumbos, you lot, on both sides

Is this what the government desires? To instigate riot to the point of declaring state of emergency in order to imposing an interim government on us?

Election is just in 8 days time. People should please endure until the end of election. Thanks.

I do not think that's the issue, Nigeria has a majority of populist electorates, perhaps due to discovery of oil as it share similar political characteristics with Venezuela, Cuba & the likes, the electorate will always tilt towards populist, socialist candidate especially if the candidate can play to the gallery of their emotions bothering on corruption & socialist policies irrespective of the reality. People who associate with a bias party are essentially tagged bad & corrupt & whatnot. We've a long way to go on tis democracy thingy, so I expect Nigeria to get some right & get others wrong. Irregardless, it's a growth process.
I agree

Definitely has to be in the North. They are the ones who depend most on cash transactions.

How Buhari had the guts to do them dirty this much is beyond comprehension.

But there will be consequences definitely - he has wiped out his name from the good books of his people and his progeny will be the ones to bear the brunt of the scorn later on.

Minister of Finance and CBN governor are both A-list members of the President's economy team and they meet regularly. She should complain to the president, not news stations.
I love your questions but several questions I want to ask you are these;
Q1. is there someone that was voted for to protect the interest of the people?
Q2. DOes that person have the power to either sack the CBN governor or stop the CBN governor from this rubbish he is doing?
if the answer to Q2 is YES, then answer the next question
Q3: If that person is not unconscious and in coma, Why did that person not stop the CBN governor or sack him?

Jonathan ran the country badly, not his economic team
Obasanjo reduced our debt, not Okonjo and co
The glory of 2nd Niger Bridge is ascribed to Buhari, not Fashola
lets extend this same energy to Buhari
President Buhari is in charge of the country, Not Emefiele.
President Buhari is putting Nigerians through hardship, emefiele is not the problem of Nigerians

There is a special adviser to the president on economy n financial matters in the villa, that fellow does not report to Emefiele
the president himself is neither blind nor deaf, he has made comments on this issue and he knows what is happening, he gets the briefing. His wife tweets and complains about it. His party members go to him to complain about it. What is stopping him
Of course, the buck stops ultimately at the leader's table. You've made good points.

The slight difference here is that Emefiele is willingly owning up to the mess, with his full chest.

Please I want to ask you question. Can you tell me a single policy that federal government have done that the people have joyfully accepted in this country, that the citizens will not want to drag the federal government back? Is it on BVN, is it for National I.D Card, is it for the COVID-19 jab, just name it?
We always like things to be done on our terms and conditions and not the laid down rules. If the federal government still say, the deposition of the old notes will lapse 31 December, 2023, I can bet you millions of Nigerians will still falter. Are you aware that millions of Nigerians didn't do their BVN till date. Hope you're aware that CBN claimed billions of naira are still trapped in many banks without known owners.
We always like fire brigade approach in everything but later blame the organization concern.
Tell me the infrastructure and education the CBN put in place, to make the useless cashless policy work.

How do you transit to cashless rubbish in so short a time? Una dey think at all laidis?

Are you being deliberately ignorant for someone whose comments are mostly logical?

Where in the world, in a country where up to 80% of transaction volume is conducted within the informal sector, is a cashless policy implemented effectively in less than 3 months?

Excellent Project Managers factor in limitations due to realities on ground rather than mere rational wishes in determining project timelines.

Have you considered the incessant network glitches, unbanked rural populace, inadequate network infrastructure and coverage, literacy levels needed for online transactions? Or these are unimportant?

It beggars belief that you are asking what INEC needs cash for when majority of the areas where voting takes place are in rural grassroots areas.

And you people will be abusing Buhari!
Thank you for capturing this aptly. You're brilliant.

At the bolded, his father cares for him, he is not alone. His father cared enough to return for him 15 or 17 years later, he cared enough to take the boy into his home with his new family, he cared enough to buy him gifts and treat him nice, so much so that he began to disrespect/dishonour his mother and her family.

I feel no sympathy whatsoever towards this boy, teenager or not, he needs to stay disowned. I am very sure his mother and grand-parents would have tried to explain the circumstances of his birth to him and tried to caution him or appeal to his good sense. He should bond with his father o, after all blood is thicker than water.
If this was a girl, deceived into sexual promiscuity by some adult, you'll quickly bring up the "minor" argument.

Now it's a minor, a male one, it suddenly doesn't matter - he should be held responsible for his father deceiving him?!

Unfortunate!
