You would have come across the below verses from the Holy Quran here on Nairaland or elsewhere been circulated by the enemy of Islam alleging that Islam is a not peaceful religion and the Holy Quran (the word of Allah) prescribes killing of people unjustly or preaches terror. The verses above are either not completed (some parts were cut-off) or have their meaning/translation distorted (Al-Quran was revealed in Arabic and requires a non-Arab who wants to translate or read the meaning to have a depth understanding or high proficiency in Arabic Grammar).

For example, to under how people distort /cut off some verses and their meaning, consider the following statement: "When you see scorpions in your room, Lukgaf, kill them mercilessly and without mercy.". Lukgaf, in this sentence, is being commanded to kill "scorpions" found in his room mercilessly and without mercy. So, this sentence can be distorted to "Lukgaf, kill them mercilessly without mercy". (And Allah has the most accurate and compelling example). You will agree with me that saying "Lukgaf, kill them mercilessly without mercy" makes the sentence incomplete and its meaning distorted. Exactly the same way above verses and their meaning are distorted.

So if we understand this, let me now take you through the meaning of terrorism according to Islam and the west as well as explained and detailed on IslamQA (see here, for a reference)

I remember when George Floyd was killed in America by white police officers, Nigerians protested in Abuja and Lagos.
