EducationRe: Top 10 Candidates In 2023 UTME As Announced By JAMB by Lunar2010: 8:30pm On Jul 04, 2023
leanonme82:
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said a certain Ejikeme Mmesoma (Joy) who had earlier been celebrated to have scored the highest mark in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) falsified her result.

The board has also threatened to withdraw the candidate’s actual results for allegedly falsely announcing herself as the top-scorer of the computer-based test used to rank candidates seeking admissions into Nigerian universities.

According to JAMB, Miss Mmesoma’s actual score in the test was 249 and not the 362 she claimed to have scored...

The agency, therefore, advised the public to always cross check these claims by candidates before rushing to honour them with undeserving awards. Meanwhile, JAMB has said it would withdraw the results of Miss Mmesoma and also prosecute her.

“This is not all, as the Board would, in due course, investigate all candidates laying claims to higher scores than they actually obtained. Once discovered, such candidates’ original results would be withdrawn forthwith, and they would be handed over to relevant security agencies for prosecution.”

WORDS ON MARBLE FROM FORMER PUBLICITY SECRETARY ACN/APC AND NOW MINISTER FOR INFORMATION AND CULTURE
"We remain on the side of the people. We feel their pulse and their pains. We believe the removal of fuel subsidy is a great misadventure, and have conveyed our stand on the issue in a letter to the President, though we never
got a response."
‘’President Jonathan did not tell Nigerians during his electioneering campaign, that his administration will only be able to deliver the dividends of democracy by removing fuel subsidy. Therefore, it amounts to arm-twisting the people to say that funds saved from fuel subsidy removal will be used to construct roads, build hospitals and schools and other expectations from the government.
"The government should have been honest enough to say it is seeking ways to raise money for governance,
and Nigerians would have been glad enough to let it know how to raise money without resorting to a phantom fuel subsidy removal.
"Our message to the President is that if he feels he cannot explore other areas to raise money for development, like cutting down on government excesses, then he should say so clearly and leave the stage for those who can ensure development with minimal pains. Our party, the ACN, will provide good governance without removing fuel subsidy, and we are ready to do so today if the Jonathan government
cannot."

Nairaland GeneralThe Real Issues With Gej's 2012 Fuel Subsidy Removal by Lunar2010(op): 12:35pm On May 12, 2016
The problem we had with subsidy removal during Jonathan era was not subsidy removal in itself.

You will agree with me, that some of us just got tired and irritated at the level of impunity & corruption of our govt officials in the public sector of our country.

In case some of us are quick to forget. Let me cast our minds back to some of the ugly, unbearable and abominable incidence(s) that gave birth to the ‪#‎OccupyNigeria‬ struggle which many of our dearly beloved brothers and sisters took to be a Musical Festival.
I'm sure you still remember the Stella Oduah's BMW Bullet-proof cars scam?
What about the Immigration Job scam?
Maybe you're quick to forget this one too. I will remind you... The Allisons' luxurious lifestyle & Private Jetting all around the world buying properties in rich neighbourhoods in London, British Virgin Islands, the Americas and throwing expensive lavish pool parties, yatch parties, Las Vegas & Miami beach parties with our money all around the world while some of our brothers and sisters suffer in hunger and penury.

The perceived unbearable level of corruption in our system then was what prompted some of us to say enough is enough with a govt who cannot be trusted.

We got tired of a govt who is not accountable to its people.
This is what some well-meaning fellow countrymen like you and i fought for.

That was why we ‪#‎OccupiedNigeria‬, we did not gather for a talk show neither was our gathering for a musical concert.
The 2012 #OccupyNigeria struggle we did was not a gathering of jobless Nigerians who had nothing meaningful to do with their time.

Because we are peace loving people who meant well for our nation, we allowed them have their way with part removal of petrol subsidy, this was what gave birth to SURE-P, can you tell me what had happened to our SURE-P money and all they promised to do with such money?

Well i think they did something, they painted Thirdmainland bridge for us Green-White-Green.

Thank God for wisdom that made people like Prof. Olu Kolade resign his appointment from SuRE-P almost immediately when he saw he just won't be able to cope with the level of insincereity on the part of a govt to its own people during the Jonathan era.

For as many of you who dont know why some of us voted Buhari into power, -It is to Kill corruption. Nothing more, Nothing less.
As for me Olutimilehin Olusegun OJEMAKINDE, I remain committed to supporting any govt who will be accountable to the Nigerian people and committed to the New Nigeria Vision. I say No to corruption in public places and so should you...

Romance"How I Was Tricked Into Raising Another Man's Son". by Lunar2010(op): 5:12pm On Apr 14, 2016
I go this off of a blog and thought to share... Women sha!

[b]When I met my first wife, Belinda in 1998. We shared a dream to have a child but we hit wall after wall. I had to get a reverse vasectomy. She had to go through IVF treatment. I supported her through the whole process, while helping her to set up her own business.
Eventually, after many trips to different fertility clinics, Belinda became pregnant in the summer of 2004. I was overjoyed.
I can still remember the first moment I saw my son. We were in the hospital for a scan, and there he was, my boy, my son. It was one of the most profoundly emotional moments of my life.

And it still is – for different reasons. I now know that as I was beginning my lifelong bond with the image on that screen, my then wife was sitting on the hospital bed next to me wearing a poker face. She knew I had no reason to feel the way I did to that child. She knew I would never be his real, biological parent. And yet she said nothing.

Years passed and Belinda and I naturally drifted apart. We divorced in 2007. Throughout the process, I was a loving and present father to my beautiful son, Henry. It remained that way for five and a quarter amazing years. But when I finally moved away from the area and requested alternating weekend contact, Belinda resisted. It was these actions that pushed me to file a contact case against her.

Since then, I’ve often asked myself what was going on inside her head at that moment. But, of course, at that time I knew no better.
Looking back, as the case progressed, I should have sensed that something was wrong. Henry began calling me by my first name rather than “Daddy”. I remember trying to explain to Henry that “Mummy and I are just trying to sort out when we’ll see you”. His little eyes looked so worried and sad.

I didn’t know then that he had been told that I was not his real father.
That accolade belonged to Paul. Paul, who had been in Belinda’s life for years, was her ex and had been spending time with Henry behind my back for years.

I had no idea how deep his deception rang until I received Belinda’s phone call. It was mid-2011 and I was in Somerset on a weekend retreat. Belinda had just received the court papers formally notifying her that I had begun proceedings on a contact case.
I was in the garden. Slowly, she drip fed me the truth. Spluttering down the phone, she dismantled my life in under five minutes. She believed that Henry was not my son. She had plotted and arranged a secret trip with Paul to a leading fertility clinic in Spain nine months before Henry's birth. She had swapped my sperm for his.

I went completely numb. I couldn’t process what I was hearing; I could think only of Henry.

When he had been born, Belinda was under anaesthetic – it was a caesarean birth. I had been the first person to hold Henry properly. As his eyes and my eyes had met, we had shared a profound moment that made the joy I’d felt during the scan pale into insignificance. It was I, not Belinda – and certainly not Paul – who made that first human connection.

It was three weeks before a DNA test was completed and Paul was confirmed as the father. I was devastated. How could the fertility clinic simply have swapped the sperm without questioning her actions or informing me?

And then, once the truth was out, I began to be erased from the picture. Like a footballer being substituted, Belinda made it clear that I was to leave the pitch and make room for Paul. I watched on from the sidelines as he took my position as the father of the family.

We went to court again – twice. The first time was a Contact Case: the Judge ruled that I had no legal right to see Henry. Effectively, he gave Belinda permission to cut me out of the picture entirely.

The second case was last year. Belinda was convicted of Parental Deceit and Fraud in the High Court, but I lost my two year battle to acquire a contact order for my ‘son’. In what I consider a smaller loss, I was also not awarded the £60,000 repayment of child maintenance, despite the fact that this was fraudulently obtained.
I last saw my son 17 months ago.

Like other victims if paternity fraud, I feel deeply damaged by the experience. I find it difficult to be in a lift with a small child, or in Starbucks surrounded by mothers and toddlers without freezing with profound sadness.

My situation is less rare than you may think. Only last week, research from a leading European university suggested that 1 in 50 western men could be unknowingly raising another man's child. And just the other day the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, was caught innocently in the crossfire of a paternity scandal.

I pray make Benin stand still... because of who? De ooni na just one of Our in laws.

ObiOmaMu:
His Imperial Majesty Oba, Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi will today wed his new bride, Wuraola Otiti Zynab Obanor, an architect based in Dubai, UAE from Benin, Edo state. All roads will literally lead to Benin City today for the event.

It's being attended by first class kings, political juggernauts, business titans and high-octane socialites from near and far. Photos below show the arrival of His Imperial Majesty’s Royal entourage in Benin for the wedding ceremony.

The traditional wedding is expected to kick off at noon at the Edo Hotel, Okada Drive, GRA Benin City, Edo State. A thanksgiving ceremony of the traditional union will hold tomorrow at the Royal Court of Ife, Aafin, Enuwa Square in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The choice of Benin for the first part of the wedding is because the new Olori has Benin roots and is also from Ile-Ife.

The Ooni was said to have been smitten by the simple nature of ravishingly pretty Wuraola, who is a cousin to Jennifer Obayuwana, Polo boss daughter. Jennifer was one of those who first announced the marriage on her Instagram page. Ooni and Wuraola have been on courtship for a while.

The wedding is considered strategic and imperative as it’s strictly against the tradition for a king to live in the palace without the olori (queen).

Oba Enitan Ogunwusi is a young monarch in his early 40s and stupendously rich. BNI reports that tradition supports this marriage and there is likelihood of the Ooni marrying more as he progresses in his reign. It should be noted that Obas, generally, are not restricted to one wife.

BusinessBreaking News!! Zenith Bank Changes $1 For N398 by Lunar2010(op): 11:23am On Mar 11, 2016
I made a purchase of $190.96 (lets just say One Hundred and Ninety One dollars) yesterday using my Zenith bank card. An hour later, I got an email alert informing me of the deduction of N76,021.81 (yes, Seventy Six Thousand, Twenty One Naira, Eighty One Kobo!).

I did a quick calculation and, Lord of Lords, the exchange rate is N398.1 / $1. I went online to confirm the current black market rate. It’s N317/$1. Official rate remains at N199/$1. So, in essence, Zenith Bank is charging me N199 above the official rate and N81 above the black market rate.

Hear the explanation I was given when I complained - “Please note that funds for the referenced transaction have not been settled but currently on hold and waiting merchant presentment for settlement. This hold includes an ADDITIONAL FUNDS (emphasis mine) placed along the original amounts to carter for rate change on the day of settlement.” In essence, Zenith Bank is edging its bet and speculating that the exchange rate might go way high.

Of course I didn’t buy into the gibberish. Several reasons: 1] It’s a debit card, not a credit card so the rate on the day of purchase should apply. After all, if the rate had been N398/$ yesterday, my buying decision could have been way different or I could have used a different payment platform instead of Zenith’s card. 2] There was no notification of this “new” policy 3] The deducted amount is arbitrary – it could well have been N100,000 or anything 4] The deduction is not in escrow so there is no assurance that I would get it back (infact, the bank will be hoping I never bring it).

By the way, I used my GTBank card for another purchase and got an exchange rate of N298/$1. So clearly this is not industry wide. Someone at Zenith Bank has simply decided to take advantage of a lax regulatory environment to perpetrate a most dubious transaction.

Zenith Bank, please refund my money!!!

PoliticsSee What "Economic Rape" Has Done To Nigeria by Lunar2010(op): 9:43am On Feb 25, 2016
The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun was at a Senate hearing where she made very strong efforts to reveal how MDAs have been stealing our commonwealth for years.

Part of her revelations that one of Nigeria's examination bodies (either JAMB or WAEC) was collecting N6bn allocation from the federal purse for capital projects and overheads, including salaries.

This same body, she had stated, also generates N16bn from the sale of scratch cards but was only able to declare a surplus of a paltry sum of N3million.

But these Nigerians sharing stuff on Facebook chose not to be angry that billions of our money was being stolen.

It also did not bother them that the monies this exam body collected from them and their children and relations would have been paid for by the Federal Government

No one worried about the depth of the corruption the Minister was talking about.

No one counted the numbers that ran into billions of naira.

What they are bitter about was that a slip of tongue by a qualified accountant gave 16+6 as 24!!!

Can you now understand my analogy of the hunter and the lions?

Who did this to us?
Or is it the case that we have got so used to economic rape that has been our lot over the past several years we can no longer differentiate between what should make us cry and the one we should laugh about and even the one that should send us into sober reflections?

Who did this to us?
Was the demon so cruel he has turned us to vanity mongers that would rather celebrate the absurd than reflect on what is of value to our today and our future?

Christianity EtcWhat Man Of God Is Pastor Chris Oyakhilome? by Lunar2010(op): 11:28am On Feb 23, 2016
Christian pastors have become demigods. Their word is law; no questions asked. As Jesus said, they teach as doctrines the commandments of men. (Matthew 15:9). They come up with all kinds of self-serving principles that turn scripture on its head; just in order to justify themselves before men and control their lives. I want to discuss Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

Man of God
Pastor Chris is going through a rough patch at the moment. His wife, Pastor Anita, has filed for divorce, accusing him of having inappropriate relationships with female church members, among other things. Instead of waiting for his day in court, Pastor Chris has resorted to bogus interpretations of the scriptures; even proclaiming he is a “man of God” and therefore above sin.

Pastor Chris declared to his congregation through a live telecast: “There are preachers and there are men of God. I am not a preacher; I am a man of God, and I go in the way I’m asked to go. You have to understand something about a man of God. A man of God is not just someone who worships God or preaches God. A man of God is handpicked by God, set on course by God. If you study the scriptures, you will not find one man of God go against God, sinning against God.”

What nonsense! Who made Pastor Chris a man of God? From which school of theology did he get his sinless distinction? John says: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” (1 John 1:8-10).

David was a “man of God.” (2 Chronicles 8:14). Yet he committed adultery with Bathsheba. Balaam was a “man of God;” yet he became apostate. The “man of God” who came from Judah was killed by a lion because he sinned against God. (1 Kings 13:23-26).

But listen to what Pastor Chris says about himself: “We are not working in sin and living in sin and hoping that we can mix sin and righteousness together. We are the manifestation of his righteousness.” This is standing logic on its head. If our marriage breaks down, we must not fool ourselves and others by insisting like Pastor Chris that we are standing in the righteousness of God. There is no righteousness in divorce.

False Christ
In the bid to justify himself, Pastor Chris is fabricating similarities between Jesus Christ and himself. He said: “Jesus Christ was accused by many – a lot of frivolous charges. There will always be those who would like for it to be true. But you know, in spite of the accusations against Jesus, it didn’t change who he was.”

However, Pastor Chris is not Jesus. Many accusations were indeed leveled against Jesus, but they were not made by his wife and they did not include inappropriate relationships with the opposite sex.

In short, Pastor Chris might be whoever he likes, but he is certainly not Jesus. Jesus says: “If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.” (John 5:31).

Yes, there are “men of God” in the Old Testament. However, Jesus created no such distinction in the New Testament; we are all “children of God.” Jesus says: “Unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:3). Indeed, Jesus was implacably opposed to men like Pastor Chris, who sit on pedestals and claim to be holier-than-thou. He says:

“Their lives are perpetual fashion shows, embroidered prayer shawls one day and flowery prayers the next. They love to sit at the head table at church dinners, basking in the prominent positions, preening in the radiance of public flattery, receiving honorary degrees, and getting called ‘Doctor’ and ‘Reverend’. Don’t let people do that to you, put you on a pedestal like that. You all have a single Teacher, and you are all classmates.” (Matthew 23:5-cool.

Male chauvinism
While Oyakhilome was busy elevating himself, he was also snidely putting down his wife. He said: “If you are married to a man of God, it doesn’t make you automatically mature. You can make mistakes; you can do something that is wrong. But some people expect the wife of a minister to definitely be at the level of that minister.”

This is an arrogant statement. What makes Oyakhilome more spiritually mature than his wife? By what measure and by what criteria did he come to ascribe this superiority to himself? Anita Oyakhilome was also a minister. She was a so-called pastor of a London branch of Christ Embassy. So why should Pastor Chris presume himself more “minister” than her.

If we are to accept Pastor Chris’ bogus self-appellation as a “man of God;” what disqualifies Anita from also being called a “woman of God?” Are women inferior to men? Oyakhilome said: “If a man of God is married, it doesn’t automatically mean that the wife of a man of God is therefore a woman of God. That’s not the way it is in the Bible. That’s why you don’t really find the wives of men of God mentioned in the Bible…. You never find their names.”

What poppycock! When one of the female pastors in his audience asked why the names of wives of the men of God were not mentioned in the bible; Oyakhilome’s response was a classic. He exclaimed: “Why? You ask God when you find him. Ask God when you find him!”

But it was not God who fabricated this theory that the wife of a man of God cannot also be a woman of God simply because wives’ names are not mentioned in the bible. It was Chris Oyakhilome. Therefore, it is up to Chris Oyakhilome to provide us with another bogus explanation.

Pastor Chris ended his diatribe by saying: “When it comes to Reverend Anita, what I will say to you is ‘pray for her.’” There is no doubt that, more than anybody else; it is Pastor Chris himself that is greatly in need of prayer.

RomanceWhy Modern Relationships Never Last by Lunar2010(op): 9:33am On Feb 10, 2016
Why are relationships so hard today? Why do we fail at love every time, despite trying so hard? Why have humans suddenly become so inept at making relationships last? Have we forgotten how to love? Or worse, forgotten what love is?

We’re not prepared. We’re not prepared for the sacrifices, for the compromises, for the unconditional love. We’re not ready to invest all that it takes to make a relationship work. We want everything easy. We’re quitters. All it takes is a single hurdle to make us crumble to our feet. We don’t let our love grow, we let go before time.

It’s not love we’re looking for, only excitement and thrill in life. We want someone to watch movies and party with, not someone who understands us even in our deepest silences. We spend time together, we don’t make memories. We don’t want the boring life. We don’t want a partner for life, just someone who can make us feel alive right now, this very instant. When the excitement fades, we discover nobody ever prepared us for the mundane. We don’t believe in the beauty of predictability because we’re too blinded by the thrill of adventure.

We immerse ourselves in the inconsequentials of the city life, leaving no space for love. We don’t have time to love, we don’t have the patience to deal with relationships. We’re busy people chasing materialistic dreams and there’s no scope to love. Relationships are nothing more than convenience.

We look for instant gratification in everything we do – the things we post online, the careers we choose, and the people we fall in love with. We want the maturity in a relationship that comes with time, the emotional connect that develops over years, that sense of belonging when we barely even know the other person. Apparently, nothing’s worth our time and patience – not even love.

We’d rather spend an hour each with a hundred people than spending a day with one. We believe in having ‘options’. We’re ‘social’ people. We believe more in meeting people than getting to know them. We’re greedy. We want to have everything. We get into relationships at the slightest attraction and step out, the moment we find someone better. We don’t want to bring out the best in that one person. We want them to be perfect. We date a lot of people but rarely give any of them a real chance. We’re disappointed in everyone.

Technology has brought us closer, so close that it’s impossible to breathe. Our physical presence has been replaced by texts, voice messages, snapchats and video calls. We don’t feel the need to spend time together anymore. We have too much of each other already. There’s nothing left to talk about.

We’re a generation of ‘wanderers’ who wouldn’t stay at one place for too long. Everyone is commitment phobic. We believe we’re not meant for relationships. We don’t want to settle down. Even the thought of it is scary. We cannot imagine being with one person for the rest of our lives. We walk away. We despise permanence like it’s some social evil. We like to believe we’re ‘different’ than the rest. We like to believe we don’t conform to social norms.

We’re a generation that calls itself ‘sexually liberated’. We can tell sex apart from love, or so we think. We’re the hook-up-break-up generation. We have sex first and then decide if we want to love someone. Sex comes easy, loyalty doesn’t. Getting laid has become the new getting drunk. You do it not because you love the other person, but because you want to feel good. It’s all the temporary fulfilment we need. Sex outside relationships isn’t a taboo anymore. Relationships aren’t that simple anymore. There are open relationships, friends with benefits, causal flings, one-night stands, no strings attached – we’ve left very little exclusivity for love in our lives.

We’re the practical generation who runs by logic alone. We don’t know how to love madly anymore. We wouldn’t take a flight to a far-off land just to see someone we love. We’d break up because, long distance. We’re too sensible for love. Too sensible for our own good.

We’re a scared generation – scared to fall in love, scared to commit, scared to fall, scared to get hurt, scared to get our hearts broken. We don’t allow anyone in, nor do we step out and love anyone unconditionally. We lurk from behind walls we’ve created ourselves, looking for love and running away the moment we really find it. We suddenly ‘cannot handle it’. We don’t want to be vulnerable. We don’t want to bare our soul to anyone. We’re too guarded.

We don’t even value relationships anymore. We let go of the most wonderful people for ‘the other fishes in the sea.’ We don’t consider them sacred anymore.

There’s nothing we couldn’t conquer in this world, and yet, here we are ham-fisted at the game of love – the most basic of human instincts. Evolution, they call it.

My Letter To Government Ekpemukpolo (A.K.A Tompolo).
.
1, Sapele Olofofo Unugbragada Avenue,
Sapele, Delta State.

Before I start I have a few questions for you sir.

1. Where did the Niger Delta Struggle go to in the last 6 years?

2. Why is there so much vandalization of oil facilities off late?

3. Is it true that you said the Federal Government can not arrest you? If it is true, I will advice you to have a rethink, because after God is government, and this is not Yaradua's or Goodlucks regme .

4. Is the allegations leveled on you true? If no, why have you not honoured your invitation, and if paraventure you went and they refused to show up, why can't you visit again after all you guys are very patient.

Thank you, permit me to roll in my mind on the issue on ground.

Before the emergence of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as president, the likes of Ankio Briggs, Asari Dokubo, Opunabo Nkot 'Tariah, Ledum Metee, Edwin Clark etc were always on Television telling Nigerians and the world how the South-South has been marginalized by the North and the West despite her oil.

By divine and metaphysical error,Goodluck Jonathan from the South-South, the presumed Nazareth of Nigeria became the president of Nigeria after President Umaru Yaradua's death in 2009.

His emergence came as a joyous daybreak to end our age-long marginalization .

There was a beacon light of hope for my region. Immediately, the Niger Delta struggle stumbled and died or gone Comatose.

The Niger Delta activists mentioned above became Jonathan's spokespersons and abandoned the struggle.

In 2011, Nigerians, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Christians and muslims voted massively for Jonathan.

Thereafter, administrative thieves were appointed Ministers and head of federal institutions,

- Convicted criminals received presidential pardon.

- Militants were given contracts running into billions of Naira.

- Impunity and corruption became the norm.

All these and many more replaced the Niger Delta struggle for resource control.

The need for constant electricity, portable water, good health facilities, good road network, massive manpower development etc went into oblivion.

Even the recent Ogoni UNEP report that would have changed the live of an average Ogoni man was not implemented by their regional brother - president.

Recall that NDDC was established by Olusegun Obasanjo a Yoruba man.

Ministry of Niger and Amnesty Office was established by Late, President Umaru Musa Yaradua, a Northerner.

Regrettably, this two federal agencies including NIMASA and NNPC became conduit pipes for Jonathan's Wife, Nyesom Wike, Deziani Allison, Godswill Apkabio and many cronies of Jonathan to rape and siphon funds meant for the development of the Niger Delta region.

Credibility died. Equity died. Competence died.

Due process died. Conscience died.

And the Niger Delta struggle died in their son's hand.

Former Governor Rotimi Amaechi, knowing that the South - South may not have the opportunity of Producing the President of Nigeria again cried out and they called him a betrayer.

They fought him with federal might and pushed him out of PDP, a replicate of what Joseph's brothers did when they sold him to the shmelites. But today Amaechi is laughing because they pushed him to stardom.

Even the East/ West road that was awarded by former President Obasanjo and inherited by Yaradua and later Jonathan is still not completed.

Bayelsa State today does not have an airport or a strong federal government institution that can generate employment opportunities for Bayelsa youths.

Few months to the Presidential election, Ankio Briggs, Asari Dokubo, Edwin Clark, Nyesom Wike, Tompolo Government, Kingsley Kuku, etc awaken the Niger Delta struggle.

What a shame!

What an irony? For five years nobody heard them because they were swimming and sleeping on money.

When Goodluck Ebele Jonathan eventually contested and lost the 2015 Presidential election to Gen. Muhammadu Buhari of the APC, the House of Assembly of all South-South states became a compensation point for militants ( Former and Active).

Everything was done with the police and INEC to ensure that cronies of Jonathan and his wife were declared winners of the governorship and House of Assembly elections in the South- South especially Rivers State and Bayelsa.

And if Jonathan had won the last election and ruled for another ten years, there won't be any hope for the actualization of the Niger Delta Struggle.

Go to Oloibiri and other villages in Ijaw land and see the level of environmental degradation yet their son was president of Nigeria for six years.

People are living a stone-age life over there, no land to build a house, no pipe burn water, no hospital, no school and no road yet some people will seat in Abuja and Portharcourt collecting billions of Naira as Champions of the Niger Delta struggle.

As I pen down my thought, I know that we have eaten our cake and we may not have it back. We had the opportunity but we messed it up.

If President Buhari remembers us, good, but if he forgets us, I will not complain.

And those who has decided to go back to the creeks and mangroves of Niger Delta to resume the armed struggle and hostilities; should know that President Buhari has enough shoes to match them unlike Jonathan who has no shoes.

Niger Delta will not boil, Tompolo should do the needful by making himself available for interrogation, if he is clean he would be left alone..
