Chad & Cameroon are sentencing & executing them in their countries while Buhari is 'rehabilitating' terrorists in our own country.

Is Buhari not mad?

Wasn't that the cost before the absurd cost of forex? What about right now with the forex cost? OR you want to drain all of Nigeria's FX reserve on refined oil?!

Besides what's the value of crude oil that it can be swapped for refined oil of the same value?! Either you are swapping the oil or selling it in exchange for dollars and then spending the dollars on refined oil, is about the same. Crude oil swaps are not miracles that solve decades of decay.

There are some problems with painful solutions.
And you do not know that a certain percentage of our local crude oil production is set aside during budgetting for local refining that the refinaries cannot exhaust, this is swapped for refined petroleum products.
Why did Buhari stop the swap?

Because of the scams going on in the inport business re subsidy...where people collect dollars for fuel they did not import.

Deregulation is the answer.
And what is stopping the gap toothed herdsman from Daura deregulating instead of strangulating the whole sector.

Buhari is dumb & APC is a scam.

For the first time in Nigeria radio and TV stations, GSM service providers and banks closed or reduced the hours of their services during GEJ's tenure because there was no PMS and AGO to power their power generating plants.
It was so because fuel marketers closed down tank farms, together with NUPENG & PENGASSAN strike all at the sametime.

This one that happening now is also towing same direction as hospitals are beginning to be affected and ask you, what is causing this one?

My answer - Buhari's stewpidity.

The real price prior to now was 86+x. X being the difference the govt subsidies for each litre. With the forex dramatic double cost, the real cost will be at least 2(86+x). Unfortunately I'm too lazy to find the actual costs. But that's just a rough calculation.
Wrong!

86 is pump price, landing cost is 76, so the max fuel can go at is 160 max.
And why did Buhari stop crude swap & sale of forex to fuel importers by CBN simulteneously without any option when he knows that local production can only meet 35% of local consumption at maximum output if he is not stewpid.
Even if he wants to stop CBN forex sales, why stop crude swap when you do not have local refining capacity, every organisation engages in barter agreement.

Buhari is dumb.

Then how was your answer a solution when it would lead us back to this point. No proper business man will buy refined oil with the exchange rate of 320N to the dollar and sell at 86 or 100N. And most can't resist the temptation to hoard to sell higher. It's capitalism at its finest.
The realistic price is 150 -160, moreover Buhari stopped the crude swap & replaced it with nothing.

What do you want him to do? Devalue the naira to match with open market? Or subside the oil importers' costs to meet 86 naira?

Which poison do you suggest?
Deregulate fuel importation, anyone who can source forex should sell the fuel he is importing at a price profitable to him. Is that rocket science?

"Feasts are made for laughter, wine makes life merry, but money is the answer for everything" - Ecc 10:19

ANYTHING can be bought with money; after splashing N2.13Trillion on petroleum importers in 2011 alone, even the devil himself couldn't have stopped fuel from being available in those locust years. The situation has changed today; there is no money to splash around and the people in authority aren't willing to splash money (even if there was).
Did you make sense to yourself?

The country is defective enough to import all its required refined oil entirely. That has been a long term crisis on its own. Added to it, is a sinking currency which has always been a Nigerian problem thanks to our import appetite. Furthermore the govt with its priced gold laying goose thinner, can not afford to subsidise any problem.

The problems aren't failings of this govt. It is worse to draw the wrong conclusions from the facts. If not today, at least tomorrow the crisis will resurface.
Buhari is aloof !

NNPC only is importing fuel now as only them is getting forex at official price. Buhari is insisting on N86 per liter & no importer will buy forex at N320 per $1 & sell at 86, is Buhari not confused?

Typical Nigerian offensive mode when they are in breach of globally accepted norms and conventions.
What is improper is improper, period. No justifying crude display by claiming 'neocolonialist'
No need for these crass exhibitionalism. It's surprising, given the governors profile. He even looks better in safari.
And typical African crass ignorance.

What makes wearing a locally made cloth braided with your portrait or that of your spouse 'improper'.?

Well by your definition of 'improper', it is if tne Americans do not do it & if tomorrow Michelle Obama wears a T-shirt with her husbands portrait on it, then it will become proper.

Imagine !

These are public servants. Is this an acceptable code of dressing in any civilized nation? Only in Africa. Did Michelle Obama or Hilary Clinton ever wear clothes plastered all over with their husbands pictures, or any state governors wife in America for that matter. Neo-colonisation !

So everything not done as was done by the westerners is primitive?

Congrats on your good deed, Madam BUT
The only thing I find distasteful, like many people is this habit you and your husband have of wearing cloth with Obiano picture on it 24 hours.
At least Peter Obi was wearing mostly APGA party uniforms with Ojukwu picture.
This dressing habit of Obiano uniform all the time is poor PR. Abi they say you people were living in US before where people are more exposed in attitude and actions.
Let your good deeds not be hijacked by this negative image which can portray you like Marcos family of Philippines always wearing cloth with their picture. Next time you are going for event like this, wear cloth that is not advertising you or your husband. But anyway you don try o for helping this poor widow.
Is anything wrong with a wife wearing clothes embroided with her husbands portrait?

Please somebody help, my 08 Honda Accord makes a disgusting noise whenever I start the engine especially in the morning or whenever I have left it for awhile. Pls does anyone have an idea of what the problem might be. Also my I have the VSA and TPMS indicator on my dash board. Any idea?
Vehicle stability assist(VSA), Tire pressure monitoring sensor(TPMS).

Chect your ABS wiring harness & gauge your tires properly or else get sensor checked out, inside the rims of your tire.

For the rattling noise, often associated with the camshaft position sensor, may need to change it but start with a scan first.
