diegwu01: If the President decides to Borrow and build our infrastructure and diversify our economy in the absence of adequate revenue from our only source of foreign exchange, Oil, it is a welcomed initiative. A Nigeria with improved infrastructure, Good roads, Electricity supply, Transportation and other sources of Income like Agriculture, Mining, Manufacturing etc would function and pay back any loans borrowed. There is absolutely nothing wrong in borrowing to build your nation and economy especially with men of integrity like Buhari and PYO in charge. (i would be concerned if it was GEJ borrowing) America is presently in a $13 trillion debt with a booming economy and strong currency and practically zero inflation, Nigeria owes nothing with a tumbling economy.
Dont listen to some idiots like Fayose and the Wailers club talking about debt. Has it occurred to you that 20% of the N1.86 trillion borrowing is going to recurrent & that those debts are being serviced (not repayed) in geometric progression from your subsequent earnings as a nation. American govt borrows from it's own treasury, they own the currency, so stop comparing yourself to them. |

I don't blame him because he needs to eat, APC has paid him and this forum to post propaganda reports for the gullibles. The $2 billion is only from China. He is borrowing from Saudi Islamic bank, Qatar & U.A.E govts & other global lending outfits. N1.86 trillion is $9.6 billion. |

And the bogus & unrealistic plan of yours is silent on the $10 billion (N1.9 trillion) borrowing that will directly plunge Nigeria into the pre-2004 debt burden thereby increasing Nigeria's annual debt servicing by an additional 10% of our annual budget in the next 2yrs.
And at an alarming 12% inflation rate, most of the so called capital projects will be requiring an additional increamental borrowing to sustain or complete them.
Buhari is leading Nigeria straight into debt dungeon. |

Somebody has to speak up and very fast at and Fayose did so very commendably. Why borrow $6 billion, bulk of it as infrastructure loan denominated in Yuan enslaving Nigeria to China permanently without options. You are seeking to borrow close to $10 billion this year to finance your budget deficit in an economy servicing debt with 25% of it's income driving the servicing to anything above 35% in a few years time & worse still you are borrowing to partly finance overhead.

Car Talk › Re: What Is With Honda Cars And Their Tyres That Always Cave In. by luvinhubby(m): 7:10am On Apr 15, 2016 |
That is purely an issue caused by substandard suspension parts, especially the ball joints.
You can never hear of this in any overseas Honda forum, it is peculiar to Nigeria only and reason being that a lot poorly cloned China ball joints, C.V. joints & tie rod ends abound in our Honda market & most times mechanics tend to choose the cheaper parts and end fixing China cloned parts for car owners.
Remedy- If you can afford to source OEM ball joints from U.S, though expensive, they can last for up to 4yrs, if not, go trusted brands from Thailand, Taiwanor South Korea, like Yamasida, Sloop or GSP. Likewise for other suspension parts. And do not always allow mechanics, especially greedy ones buy parts for you. At least once a year, do an overhaul of your suspension system.
Honda cars are great rides, trust me. |

Although i voted PDP in the last elections & still a rigid believer in the political ideals of GEJ, but i strongly disagree with the United states report indicting Nigerian state agencies of brutality & corruption with the following reasons :
1, The Nigerian millitary literally fought boko haram barehanded because U.S govtt. went out of it's way to block every legitimate means of Nigeria buying much needed millitary hard ware to fight boko haram.
2, Obama just acknowledged that Libya invasion was an error & it was the light & heavy weapons sent by U.S. and it's army to Libya rebels that are salafists that eventually found it's way to Mali, Niger & eventually to boko haram in Nigeria, so U.S indirectly armed boko haram.
3, Police & state security excesses abound every in the world including U.S(Ferguson is still fresh) & the peculiarity of the average Nigeria criminal mindset is so hardened that mental torture do not crack them rather physical torture does.
4, Cultural & religious practices like genital mutilation & child marriage, as bad as they are, is not peculiar to Nigeria alone but is practiced in other African & Arab countries and can only be reduced and are being reduced through education & enlightenment.
5, Every country in the world has corruption issues, though the degree varies but Nigeria has vastly taken steps to curb it. E.g - TSA, IPSS, BVN, EFCC,DSS are initiatives & govt agencies that have ramped anti corruption activities, we may not be there yet but we are not where we used to be.
6, Why is the report silent on the very successful electoral process & transition of last year?
Summary - Nigeria is OURS & no one else's, though i disagree with APC & Buhari politically, i have a common goal with them on greater Nigeria & for that i stand with Buhari, his government & good people of Nigeria against the U.S on this one. |
