Politics › Re: Jonathan’s Re-election Only Solution To Peace In 2015 – Godswill Akpabio by luvmijeje(f): 8:10am On Jan 04, 2015
The governor, who spoke in Uyo at an interdenominational Church service, urged Nigerians to allow the continuity of President Jonathan’s administration in the country.
That solution is the election of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for a second term in office,” the governor said.
“When you do that, you would show that you are not a religious bigot. When you do that, you would show that you are not an ethnic jingoist and that you believe in the unity of this country,”
This is indeed a paradoxical statement. If akpabio believes in the unity of this country, he should have gone to the mosque to deliver his nonsensical statement.

I don see pesin wey mumu pass Buhari? Na which exam. Buhari write in the 1960s? Was it NECO? The senior school certificate examinations of the 1960s were not not been conducted by waec?
Oga Ade there are differences between secondary school certificate and WAEC certificate.

WAEC certificate contains results of the final exam one sat for while secondary school certificate contains more than that; it contains how active you are in school. Also it is use to certify that one is once a student of that school.

The former is issue by the school itself while the later is issue by the West Africa examination board.

The crux of the matter is that Buhari didn't go to secondary school. So why are you shifting post?

He said they could see that Tinubu is the smart type. Senator Obanikoro further said he was the only person that could match Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he said he knew his tactics. He further emphasized that with cash in his hand, Tinubu is nobody.

While Governor Fayose intervened by saying that there was nothing special in Lagos and that he normally visited markets in Lagos every weekend and before the people in the market would recognize him, they would have said so many things in his presence that they won’t know. Govenor Fayose further said he was coming to Lagos to teach people the market approach to sensitizing the people on the need to support PDP and dump APC.
See power trip, they are just finding ways to collect money from Jonathan using Tinubu's name. Thieves.

Governor Fayose underlined that the presidential election was critical, advising that the party should forget about governorship elections and concentrate on the presidential contest. According to him, once President Jonathan was re-elected, everything else would fall into place and the party could declare the governorship candidates of PDP in various States as it likes
After he has won his own election by crook, the party should not bother focusing on governorship election. Selfish guy.
Politics › Re: GEJ: Stop Making Policies in churches - by luvmijeje(f): 9:43pm On Jan 02, 2015
Three, why is Jonathan always announcing government policies inside churches? Does he think he was voted into office by Christians alone? Or his only audience are Nigerian Christians? Imagine if Yar'adua was always announcing government policies at the National Mosque every Friday after prayers? Won't some Nigerians scream he is Islamizing Nigeria? As a wise leader, you pray without any noise & get out. There is virtually no church in Abuja that Oga Ade has not visited. So what is the use of the Aso Rock Chapel?
Jonathan has set the wrong precedent. Buhari never did 0.0001 of what Jonathan is doing but some foolish group of animals are shouting that he wants to islamise Nigeria. So what now is Jonathan doing? He is busy christianizing Nigeria. They can never accept it but they are doing it to others.

In 2015, he must go back to his village. He has done more than enough.

Goodquestion:
You should have such questions at the back of your mind that, what if we voted and grant them their freedom and their enemies Israel,USA, Britain & other friends of Israel decided to go against us? Or what if it was that Nigeria voted against them? Think beyond personal gain pls, if the Muslims did not vote for him and we live in peace without external enemies is better that shooting the Israelis and their likes just to win election that the external enemies will fight against the country for not standing out. What i read up there was that Nigeria did not vote. PLS Understand that we are developing countries, we must not do things others are doing. THEY DID IT FOR ME AND YOU, SO ENJOY THE PEACE WHILE IT LAST PLS LEAVE SENTIMENT OUT. We have a war in our hands already why should we create more? I came here to blame Nigeria for not voting but rather through the comments of the well educated and less myopic individuals we have here, i retrieved my stance.
Agreed, if Nigeria had voted yes, there would have been repercussions from Israel and her allies. But it's not every time America bark that will must jump. We must also think of what's good for us and not Israel and her allies.

Did Nigeria maximise enough gains from this? Are the gains enough to offset the loss of abstaining from voting.

The truth of the matter is that I don't trust our government to negotiate successful in our own interests.

@bold. what would you have preferred? To vote for or against? I think Nigeria interest is protected by being neutral and if anyone feels spited, then they already before now, only waiting for an excuse to pin it on.

If Nigeria had voted, US veto power still counts.
The title of the thread answered your first question.

Are you sure our interest are being protected? That's why I need to see and hear the official reasons why we abstain from voting.

While Israel has offered us weapons, experts and assistance in tackling Boko Haram, even at the caution of the US..the arab world's relation to the issue is possible sponsorship. The Libyans have sold the weapons they're using to kill themselves to terrorists in Mali and Nigeria, showered on them by the ignorance of the United States. The Saudis have blocked Nigerian flights from entering their airspace once we started buying weapons from Pakistan (should be noted that Pakistanis are not Arabs). Now the want to make noise because Nigeria recognizes Israel and not Palestine.
If indeed Israel offered us weapons and assistance how come we are buying arms from Pakistan?

I'm interested in the official reasons why Nigeria abstain from voting. I hope is not because of the above. Internally Jonathan shot himself in the legs with this because he has lose another chunk of minute votes he'll get from the Muslims.

Externally what's the benefits for us? Did the benefits outweigh the harms. Is this decision not going to draw the focus of the enemies of Israel on Nigeria? If it does, do we have the capabilities to take them on? If we don’t, are the Israelis and the Americans ready to budget part of their resources to fight them?

They should give us the official reasons why they abstain from voting?

Many of our members have been calling and asking questions whether a Church was protected from being attacked by Muslims in [the] Sabo area on Christmas day? And we said it is not true, and we don’t want people to create panic and dishing out [an] inciting story,” the statement continued.
Panic?? Incitehuh CAN is a very very foolish and obviously partisan organisation.

Even if it's a lie..... It's a white lie...... It's a necessary lie...... It's a good propaganda. Boko Haram are attacking both Christians and Muslims, so when that news broke, the message indirectly being pass is that defeating Boko Haram is a collective effort.

Jonathan has done enough damage to our psyche. He should just go.

Lagos State Government continues to fund Eyo Festival but leaves the Igbo day Festival or New Yam festival to South-East governors to fund. Should Ndigbo then pay their dues to South-East Sates governments?”

“Lagos State House of Assembly continues to conduct the house business on Yoruba language, translating that Lagos State is now a mono lingual State, is this as a negligence of facts on ground or that Ndigbo offspring in Lagos State should forgo their cultural background or give up their political rights?”
What effrontery! What nonsense! This is a disrespectful statement.

That's why I've issue with oba of Lagos coming out openly to support APC. He should be the custodian of people's culture. A statement should have been sent out denouncing and bringing a stop to all this.

What about all this sociocultural groups we have everywhere? How come they've not issue any statement. Lagos is Yoruba land and not no man's land.
Politics › Re: When Did You Realize APC Will Succeed? by luvmijeje(f): 5:03am On Dec 27, 2014
The defining moments that I realised APC will be a threat were when Seven former governors walked out of PDP's convention....... In the presence of the president!....... They were all caught unaware. That's when I realised that Jonathan is an accidental president. A president that cannot control his party definitely doesn't have leadership qualities and definitely doesn't have what it takes to lead a country.

The other moment that nail it for me was I saw the so called president aides playing tribal and religious card while tacitly being supported by the president. When I first heard it I thought he was not going for reelection..... Oh! So he's going for reelection while burning bridges that took PDP a lot of years to build.

APC become a threat because of the failure of PDP and I pray APC will learn .
