segunoz:I don't like it when someone give me these kinds of excuses. The power to vote them out or to vote them in is still in the hands of people. As I said earlier, Nigerians political awareness has increased compared to four years ago. I love sharing this example and I'm going to share it with you. The person who won the house seat in my constituency came out from Accord. He was formerly in APC but lost the primary and has to move to another party . But the problem with moving to a new party is that you have to be truly popular with the masses compare to the old parties who has political structures to push you through whether you're popular or not. You all want the easy way but it doesn't work for everyone who don't have the right connection. |
segunoz:What do you mean by the power doesn't belong to the people yet? |
Hmmmm. As much as I love your ideas, they are not feasible. They will definitely not pass the law that will affect them nor is it possible to privatize a country. You know May 29 makes it 19 years of uninterrupted democratic rule. I still believe this country is on the right track. We just need to continue improving on our electoral system. Do you now know for you to be President, you must have some record of public service. Do you know more state governors are now performing because they know that's the only way for them to re-elected for the next term. Do you know more Nigerians are holding our leaders accountable. Imagine where we'll be after 50 years of uninterrupted democratic rule. We are not there yet but we'll be there. |
I'll give him benefit of the doubt. |
Good. |
A patriotic Nigerian. What are they cutting? Is it hair made of diamond? This is annoying. |
They can oppose for Africa but they cannot lead. I'm not shocked about the response of Buhari but Tinubu/Lai in the days of Jonathan were gods of opposition but mere chicken in Buhari's Administration. They expose me to the true nature of Nigeria politics. It's a big shame. |
debaj10:Go and sit down. I'm sacrificing my time and energy for this country. We all can't be Polictians. We all don't have the capacity to lead a country. And that doesn't mean one is not contributing elsewhere. I'm not looking for a saviour. I'm looking for a competent leader. Not perfect but competent to lead. Not spectacular but competent. Must it be that hard in a country of 200 million? |
OZAOEKPE:Sharrap! You this political jobber. |
Kyase:What action has he taken? |
Kyase:When he refuse to speak against those who are committing these crimes, is that not the definition of silent? |
Patrotism:How can you prove someone fall from the sky without a broken bone? Knowing the impact a crash as on a plane? |
Oh really? Does that justify the silent of the President to the current massacres of Nigerians. Does that warrant him not to do anything to stop the killings. Something is deeply wrong with some of you and no one can tell me that you guys are not political jobbers. |
Noel1:Oga, being a witch is not a crime. There are a lot of good witches. |
Noel1:Is it possible for someone to fall from the sky without breaking a bone? |
If he had claimed oshomole defrauded him personally, I would have taken him seriously. This is a publicity stunt. |
Donopsiano:Is not possible na. How can someone fall from the sky without broken bones. please they should release that woman and face the Benue killings. |
Oh my God! In Jonathan administration, he is so good in condemning and doing nothing but this government can't even condemn talkless of doing something. Imagine the President appealing for calm when he should be taking action. We are not just lucky in this country when it comes to good leaders. |
skales67:Thanks. |
buhariguy:Do not give me that crap! The killings of cows should be reported to the police and not to be retaliated with killings of human beings who has dreams, who has families, who has dependants depending on them. How can you justify the killings of Nigerians because of cows? |
Kudos to Nigerians who are pushing this news out and not burying it like this government will want to. |
No sane Nigerians should support this evil act. Can you imagine the leader of the herdsmen association coming out to publicly claimed they killed more than 80 Nigerians because of 300 cows and the fool has not been arrested. What a country! Wereh ni won. |
Fakemiracle:Anyway, ensure to go with someone. If you're sure that you're are just going there just to act, please go ahead. What you're about to do is not different from being an actor. But what they will do with it will be a crime. |
Is falling from sky a crime? Nigeria police and drama. |
Na wa o. But, OP that kind of money is too much for you to play an actor just for a church programme. How much is the offering they will get for them to pay only you 300 thousand. Remember, you will be not be the only actor. What if he wants to use you for ritual? What if all they want to put on your body is for sinister purpose. Your life is worth more than 300 thousand. Do not go. |
Ciroma in a statement claimed that the attack was in retaliation of the killing of over 300 cows in the last few weeks by the villagersMy goodness! These herdsmen are crazy and we have a President enabling them. Those supporting this administration for whatever reason are complicit in the death of Nigerians being killed by this people. |
How has his uncommon leadership stop the killings of Nigerians by the herdsmen? |
Wherever they are from doesn't matter. What matters is the incompetence of this administration to stop the killings. And he dares to go for re-election. He and his supporters are shameless. |
Okay. Polictians will always be Polictians. Obasanjo has the right to advise the President. And the President has the right to accept or reject it. |
He can't be President. He doesn't have the political structure for it yet. By the way why is he starting from the top? Let him start from the state level. |
I missed this news. Thanks to the OP for providing a link. This is definitely an insider job. The lack of security. The operation being carried out in the dark. The use of knife and I know that knife is not ordinary. The easy way the stabber knew his target in the dark and the lack of struggle all points to an insider job. If not that Nigerian police are nothing to write home about, this should be an easy case to solve. |
