1.If FFK was in power, he would have passed similar budget.

2.The truth is, oil is at $58.81 per barrel today. We need it at $140 per barrel to have a budget free of borrowing and a budget that would be enough for all our needs. Last time oil was at that position was 11 years ago (and that is why GEJ was borrowing too....even with oil above $100 in his regime, it still was not enough)

3.Government can raise more money for capital projects by cutting expenses in the National Assembly, and jobs in the civil service. But people like FFK will cry that government is reducing the power of democracy, and is also making millions of Nigeria suffer.

4.Government could also raise a lot of money by cutting subsides. But since FFK will then say that Nigerians are suffering too much to pay for fuel at N300 per liter (the same price people pay in Ghana, Sierra leone, liberia, Niger, etc...who are poorer than us, with the exception of Ghana)....

5.This APC budget is bad. But if PDP was in power today, faced with the fact that we are losing $80 dollars per barrel of oil we sell, the budget would still be the same.

My beef with APC and PDP is that when they are in opposition, they cry out loud to make the other side look bad. When they are in power, dem chop money. Real solutions, nothing for them.
