Anyone booked Schenghen visa to Netherlands recently? I've been trying to find an appointment for weeks now and I've been unable to come up with any. Anyone with info to book ASAP please, let me know. I need to be in NL for a conference in a few weeks.

No you do not have to enter the US through the state you applied with.

I had a similar experience in 2014. I applied to visit Philadelphia, but ended up going to Florida. 1st timer in the US. I was apprehensive as well but the truth is plans can legitimately change and I guess they realize that as well so your decision to change your trip wouldn't be used against you. Besides, its been almost a year since you were issued the visa, a lot can happen in that period.

I am married , I have my wife in the UK , I have travel to UK, Egypt, Dubai, bene republic, france , Germany, Netherlands, poland and I have business enterprise back home with 5 support staff back home in Nigeria and I have freelance job I do which earns me money here in Lithuania too.

Me: Started naming the full address (VO interrupted and said mention just the state) which I did
Vo: How long have you been in the UK
Me: I answered
Vo: What are you currently doing in the UK
Me: I answered (didn't mention my part time work)
Vo: Why the course of study (B.Sc. degree is different from M.Sc. course)
Me: I answered, work experience need some academic backing
Vo: You don't work part time?
Me: I answered, work part-time as a support worker.
Vo: Have you travelled before?
Me: Yes and mentioned the countries (Netherlands and 2 other Schengen countries)
Vo: Asked what activities I did in my trip
Me: I answered and mentioned what I did at one of the country I visited.
VO: That sounds like fun
Me: Yes it was

Took my fingerprints
Visa approved 😁😁😁

Took 4mins max and no additional document was asked aside from my usual DS-160 form, Passport and Resident Card.

Got my passport back after 7working days

Hi my people, please I have a question and a bit worried about asnwering VO regarding relatives in the state as my inetrview is next month. I dont have any immediate relative in the US so when I was filling my DS-120 in january I put a friend I met virtually. she invited me to her wedding last year but coudnt make it to the wedding due to lack of interview slot and all that here in dubai. So my bottom line I cant remember what exactly I filled in the relative in the US maybe yes or no. If VOs ask me if I have any relative in the US what do you think I should answer as I cant remember what I filled but I remeber that I put this my friend I met virtually all her details and her husband's details as someone I know in the state. Thank you

me: around 3yrs
VO: Are you travelling for business or tourism?
me: (Smiles a bit) Tourism
vo: who are u travelling with?

VO: Do u have any family in the USA?
Me: No, no family
VO: Who will pay for your trip?
me: Myself
VO: Do u have a statement of account or something to show me?
ME: Yes, hands him my statement.
VO: What do you do in Germany? Are you primarily studying or you work?
Me: I am primarily a student but i just got a job with ...........
VO: You have your residence card with you?
Me: Yes (I hand him my card)
VO: Takes a look and says, how long did you say you have been staying here?
Me: 3yrs
VO: Everything looks good, your visa is approved, we will send your passport in one week.
Me. I just smiled and said thank you. collected my passport 2days letter. 5yrs visa stamped
Location: Munich visa office.
Note guys, this is just to encourage you guys, just keep it simple and genuine. All documents u provide must be authentic and you will be fine.

Forgot to add .. . If you go directly to their website, it will give you about £20. You will have to use compare the market sites to get the £5 for PO.

I was looking at the GHIC option yesterday as well. There requirement is to use a 'Medical travel insurance' which you can get as low as £3 anyway. I got post office for about £5
