Shelumiel:Your own problem is understanding simple English. How are those verses seeking consent for crying out loud? What is the difference between "Let us make" and "should we make?" "Let us go down" and "should we go down?" The scripture is true..you on the other side is falsifying it. ![]() |
pressplay411:I see that your understanding of body, spirit and soul needs to be addressed as well. Who sent the holy spirit and the son? Can the begeted be greater than the begeter?...the father is no subject to any one but the son is subject to the father 1 Cor 15:28 As for body spirit and soul. The spirit is greater and controls the physical. The soul is not a separate part but the entire package that is ( spirit+body=living soul) |
The Father is greater than all , but yet He seeks the consent of lesser Beings (Jesus and the Holy Spirit ) to make decisions (Genesis1:26 and Genesis11:7), right ? Is that showing you He is greater than all ?26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Gen 11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. How are those two verses seeking if consent? those are rather instructions ok. [s]If I say I am greater than my Father, but yet my Father still seeks my opinion for decision making it does not make him greater than me in anyway. Please get the understanding of the scriptures through the Holy Spirit; for it is impossible to read and understand the Bible without the wisdom of God through the Holy Spirit. [/s]Weak! The scripture says otherwise. ![]() Let every man be a liar, and God be true |

pressplay411:Jesus - "the father is greater than i" (John 14:28) |
Shelumiel:John 14:28 "Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I." About decision making.... John 14:10 "Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works." The Son does only the will of the Father never the other way. ![]() The Father has always been the one dishing out commands and instructions from Genesis to Revelation not the other way. ![]() The Father empowers the son and gives him authority both in heaven and on earth. Matt. 28:18 The Father is greater than all. Read 1 Cor 15:28, you can start from verse 24 and read all through for better understanding Shalom aleikhem |
And the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those that are perishing. ![]() And God has really giving them a reprobate mind, ever learning but never understanding. ![]() They strive so much with their maker. chiommy123:Hmmm, Hanty you have said so many things that are not scriptural here. First of all man is a living soul, when man was created, God did not put a soul in man but rather man became a living soul. God formed man out of the dust and breathed spirit of life into the dust and it became a living soul( that is a conscious being). Gen 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." So what happens after we die? The reverse process of man's creation is what happens when we die. At death, the Spirit of life depart from the body(dust) and the person becomes a dead soul (unconscious being). Ecc. 12:7 "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." There can only be a living soul through the fusion of breath of life(spirit) to a dust(body) or flesh. The soul is not a separate part of a man but rather the entire package (that is the living thing). Do spirits surfer in hell or go to heaven to enjoy immediately at death? NO! Ecc.12:7 made us understand that the spirit returns to God who gave it at death and the body perishes and becomes dust once again. Also Ecc. 9:5-6 "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun." All dies and await judgment day when they shall all be resurrected in their various grave both the good and the bad people. If it were not so then resurrection day will be useless since people will already be judged and placed in hell or heaven immediately at death according to you. 1 Thess 4:16 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:" The scripture gives us a glimpse of the state of the dead, the faith of the dead and what is to come. @op, there is no life after death for the wicked. Eternal life is only found in christ. The wicked shall be raised for judgment and cast into the lake of fire which is the second death. While the saved in christ shall be raised into eternal life. |
Anas09:No! I am not, why do you ask? |
1 Corinthians 1:18-25 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. Op rest your head ![]() Shalom Aleikhem |
Anas09There is no ambiguity, here is reasons why Col.1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him(Jesus the son) should all fulness dwell; Col. 2:9 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead(that is divinity) bodily. John 14:10-11 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works 'sake. God made Jesus the son everything he is. Jesus came to serve so as such he is a servant leader. It all depends on where you are looking from. Even your Bible translation tried to twist the scriptures and make it be what it isn't, but below is Hebrews 1: 10-12 calling Jesus Jehovah the creator. reiterating Ps 102: 25-27.Still you don't need to look further 1 Cor.15:27-28 27 For he(Jehovah) hath put all things under his(Jesus) feet. But when he(Jehovah) saith all things are put under him(Jesus), it is manifest that he(Jehovah) is excepted, which did put all things under him(Jesus). 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him(Jesus), then shall the Son also himself(jesus) be subject unto him(Jehovah) that put all things under him(Jesus) , that God(Jehovah) may be all in all. All in brackets are my emphasis Your own Bible says Jesus is Jehovah the eternal and unchangeable creator. The name of God(Yahweh) is in Jesus the son. He Jesus also carries the name of his father and declares it to us. John 17:26. "And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it:" In the end He shall also come in the glory of his father. Matt. 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. And OneJ, what became a servant is the manifested human form taken from a human being 'Mary, not the essence contained in that body. The body does not contain the soul of a man but rather the entire body of man is the living soul. When God formed man(Adam) he did not put a soul in Adam he breathed spirit of life into the clay and it became a living soul. The same way at death when the spirit of life depart from the body it becomes a dead soul. God did not create man and put a soul into him rather man became a soul at the fusion of the breath of life(spirit) with the dust(body) and man became a soul. Gen. 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. The reverse of man's creation is what we experience at death Ecc.12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Everything becomes clearer if only we let the scripture divide itself by itself. Shalom aleikhem |

Unto God, The soul is not immortal , at death, the energy or life giving force (the spirit) depart to God who gave it and the body becomes a lifeless soul. ![]() Here is why only the body can be destroyed by man and not the soul. God on the other hand is capable of fusing back the dead soul by returning breath of life to it to make it a living soul again. And then he is able to destroy both the body and soul that is alive again completely in Gehenna. John 5:28-29 "28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." Also Every believer has passed out of death into life (John 5:24). His life “is hid with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3), and the exceeding greatness of God’s power in resurrection toward us who believe is the same “mighty power which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead” (Ephesians 1:19-20). And by that same power will all the unbelieving dead be brought out of their graves to stand before the judgment of the Great White Throne. |
Mobilia:I'm doing fine, thanks! But all these things you mentioned are just another reality we seem to shy away from, because they do exist and happen sometimes right before our eyes. Blood, death, gore, violence, etc. Are nature's way of keeping balance with life, peace and tranquillity. No matter how it upset us it will remain a natural order of things. |

Isaiah 45:7 "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things." God made everything... ![]() |
Mobilia:I am doing fine The semicolon has not or did not alter the context of that verse. The bible did not call theme "men who served God" but rather "sons of God" MuttleyLaff has not been helpful, he has been dabbling and twisting the scriptures for God knows why. Using one falsehood to back up another. All his bible references are taken way out of topic and context. Modern day basket ballers are bearly little above 6 feet. Does someone like Shaqil O'neil look like a person that can put on an armour of weight as heavy as a bag of cement and move freely about in the court? I will beseech you to make your thorough research. Well sorry to tell you, but "That" which you know is not in line with the teaching of the scripture. Matth. 22:30-32 did not say angels can't marry or have sex either. It only says in the resurrection they will not be given in marriage or neither marry. Yes I totally disagree with your position. It is not in tune with the bible. |
Right. I'm saying that the 12-15 feet tall humans were normal during that time period. No they were not normal. The first mention of giants was in Gen 14 apart from the Gen 6 giants. Other names for giants include Rephaim, Nephilim. Gen 6:1-4 says "1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. Verse 4 shows that these giants were as a result of the ungodly union of sons of God and daughters of men in those days and after that. It went on to say "THE SAME became mighty men of old" I was saying that there were some people who may have been even taller than that and were therefore termed "giants".The strange and extraordinary looking men in status did not came about until Gen 6. These giants were singled out to be exceptionally different from the normal people, renown (probably famous for looking different). Saul in the days of Goliath the giants was said to be tall at least 6'ft tall than the average human, yet he was no match or never was he considered a giant like Goliath. To tell you how big the Nephilims are. The scripture says that there were giants after that. And the most famous of them was Goliath of Gath. There are various discrepancies concerning his actual height. Some dead see scrolls says 6'6 some mesoretic texts says 9'0 but if we look at the description of his armour weights you can tell that it will take even a huge, taller and stronger person to wield and carry such armour in battle. Indicative of Goliath’s size and strength was the weight of his armour. His copper coat of mail weighed 5,000 shekels (57 kg; that is 126 lb); the iron blade of his spear weighed 600 shekels (6.8 kg; that is 15 lb).—1Sa 17:4-7. Can you imagine a person wearing a coat as heavy as a bag of cement or a little heavier than that? And the iron blade (spear head) as heavy as a weight lifter's dumb bell or almost as heavy as a mini short put ? You mean all of a sudden human mating with humans resulted in giants? No! There was mixed gene of strange flesh that brought about that. |
Mobilia:The giants that were mentioned in the scripture are not 6feet giants but really tall and big in status about 12- 15 feet tall humans. |
Admit that I am wrong about what?On like you, I will rather find my ally in the true teaching of the scripture. You said no difference between celestial being and celestial body. So I rolled out the definition of celestial body for you to see. MuttleyLaff:Celestial being is completely different from celestial body. |
Is there a difference between celestial body and celestial being?Apart from that your position and understanding of this controversial topic is wrong. One thing I noticed about you is that you don't like to admit that you are wrong.

MuttleyLaff:It is only you reading your own meaning to those verses, you have not really refuted anything here. None of your explanations are coherent. |
Its bible talk, not my words. Are you now saying that Satan who also followed the sons of God to present himself is a Sun or Moon? Where and when were they called sons of God right before they fell? You know pretty well they were called the sons of God before they fell. It is so appalling that you choose to call the Sun and moon sons of God, but deny angels that are spirit beings and God's ministers who are closed to him and see him. When that scripture was revealed, was the "g" in God too, not in upper case or lower case, was the word simply just "god"?God or god, son or Son, Teacher or teacher, does it reduce the meaning behind the verbs? ""For to which of the angels did He ever say:Yes God only beget Jesus the Christ. So according to you God can not beget the angels as his Son but you will rather claim he beget Sun and Moon right? Laugh as best as you canIt's kind of funny. It is just funny and unbelievable. "And God made two great lights; And what did God told Job after that? That the sons of God that were rejoicing and singing were sun, moon and stars? This you explanation is weak and unscriptural. All you context are based on nothing but your own personal interpretation. The first bold is what again? You mean the phrase "sons of God" carries different meanings that you wish to assign to it but not angels right? What dead on arrival point were you aiming to make with this remark? My point is that you are very very far away from what the bible teaches in those verses. How do you explain Satan who came together with the sons of God to resent himself as well? How do you explain the Spirits in prison? How do you explain angels that sinned that the bible talked about? Capital NO! ![]() |
If you couldnt handle and get to grips with what sons of God really are in Job 38:7Why don't you try me.. ![]() The really interesting thing is that, the use of the expression, sons of God, in Genesis 6:2This still can't rule out the fact that they are angels. The early Christians and Patriarchs believed taught this. It is also clearly understood. |
MuttleyLaff:Lol! Patiently waiting for your interpretation of those verses. This is really interesting. ![]() |
Angels, whether fallen or not, are never called sons of GodAt this point, well! it's your words against the bible's. Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. Let me add this one even if you are denying them to be angels. Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? It was never intended to mean fallen angels nor confuse sons of God to be fallen angelsYou erred greatly again by the above. but the scripture says otherwise. Angels are called sons of God right before they fell. "For to which of the angels did He ever say: "You are my Son; today I have begotten You"?There are no problems whatsoever there, except the one you are making out right at this moment. When that scripture was revealed it was not in Upper case or lower case it was simply just "son" . The use of uppercase letters are just the formal way english intend to interpret the word grammatically. Still no ambiguity. The bold says it all..God never beget angels at any time. That is why Christ's Sonship is unique one of it kind and first of it kind. You want the truth, don't you?Is this the truth? Now this is unequivocally laughable and amusing. So morning stars mean stars or the constellation? And sons of God mean (sun and the moon) wow! Just wow! All these just to avoid taking sons of God in Gen 6 as angels right? Well done sir! How about this Rev.22 :16 "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star." Isaiah 14:12 "How you are fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! " Rev. 12:4 "And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born." If God is father of light, then it makes even more sense that the Son(s) is/are the light (of the world). We Christians are the light of the world Matth 5:14. Other words for "Morning star" include "shinning one", "light bringer or bearer" So can I also say "morning stars" = Angels "Sons of God" = Angels ? |
MuttleyLaff:Do I sense as if you are trying to read a whole new and a different meaning to Job 38:7? ![]() What could the "sons of God" possibly mean there if not angelic hosts singing and rejoicing during during the formation of the world? Let's hear yours anyway! |
