obailala:
When people protested in 2012, teargas was freely used, arrests were made and some protesters were brutalised by our uselese police. But all that didn't/couldn't happen where notable figures led the protest.

Similarly in 2020, if notable figures lead the protest, there cant be any arrests or brutal treatment. Notable figures do not only include APC figures (who for obvious reasons, we cannot reasonably expect to come and lead protests today). The big question is, all the PDP chieftains and stalwarts making noise all over the place about how 'APC protested in 2012', what exactly is stopping those PDP bigwigs from leading protests against the govt today? Obviously there can be no arrests or brutality if notable persons like GEJ, Atiku, Peter Obi, Secondus, FFK etc. come forward to lead the protest. Or are they still too fat from their loot? Or maybe at moral baggage weighs them down?
By your argument you are implying that, the government should go on doing whatever they want while we go on protesting thereby going in circles.

They are Nigerians just like you and I, they dont have 2 heads while you have 1 and they have a right (just like you) to decide when they want to complain, when they want to protest and when they want to just ignore, waka pass and go rest in the comfort of their homes.

The only meaningful question to be asked here is for those calling on 2012 protesters to protest today, are you people crippled? Or did those men prevent you from protesting? Abi is there anywhere it's written in any constitution that it's the very same set of people that must lead protest?

Very soon some Nigerian youths would ask 90 year old Wole Soyinka who has been protesting and inhaling tear gas under different regimes to go and lead protest while youths sit at home on BBnaija.
You're not serious. Have you not seen where protesters were either arrested or invited by the DSS. Without prejudice, you will agree with me that the present political atmosphere makes it look suicidal calling for any protest courtesy of the very one who championed it in 2012

Yes sir...I will shut up only when you can prove to me that these people are not guilty of this fraudulent trait I claim they all posses. A typical igbo man before me is already a suspect of the worst criminal endeavour, whenever I have to do any transaction with them, I take extra measure to make sure I'm not counting my losses after every deal.

I don't care if you are igbo or not, you can go to hell. My last experience with this group was so unpalatable, the hatred I develop aftermath is so intense. You can start ranting from now till cow comes home, I care less. I won't reply you after this anyways.
Who cares, you can always suit yourself

It is not about igbo but South East. Hope you understand the difference.

No he won because he was a boy boy

Obasanjo an Ex military head of state had no influence in PDP?

In case you are too Young or not born then, North trusted Obansajo more than any of the candidates to return power back to them just like he did as a military head of state.
Obasanjo was hand picked. He never had any forms of contribution during the formative period of the party. In fact Obasanjo was a preferred candidate of the North just to appease the south west.Mind you PDP was a national party unlike AD and APP. So if the arrangement was such to bring about peace and strengthen the unity of the country by fielding two Yoruba sons to compete against each other, why can't same be done for the igbos.

Onu had no major influence in APP whatsoever.

As if Ekwueme didn't contest and lose the primary by a decent margin.

In case you don't know, please check the results of the 1999 election results below

OLUSEGUN OBASANJO 1,658 which was 67.98%

ALEX EKWUEME 521 which was 21.36%

DON ETIEBET 106 which was 4.35%

GRAHAM DOUGLAS 71which was 2.91%

JIM NWOBODO 59 which was 2.42%

PHILIP ASIODU 12 which was 0.49%

FRANCIS ELLAH 12 which was 0.49%

Out of the list, only Obansanjo was Yoruba and he got the support of Hausas and Yorubas. Igbos splited their votes.

https://groups.google.com/g/soc.culture.nigeria/c/e3p6UBNplJI?pli=1
Of course he did but the choice of Obasanjo was not by merit. As long as as PDP was concerned, Obasanjo didn't have such influence but he was engraced by the anonymous arrangement

This beggy beggy by igbo elite and politicians must stop. Igbos are fond of accusing other tribes of not being as competitive as them. Yet, we are seeing igbo leaders begging upandan to be given the Presidency on a platter/given a free pass.

Even in the entire SE PDP there seems not to be one single igbo politician with enough guts to even hint at throwing his hat in the ring at this point. Even if na to pretend sef. It's like the politicians have already resigned to support another Northerner without even putting up a fight in the same PDP (these are the same people that shout upandan, calling others 'cowards' for not committing political kamakazee, or for not fighting 'Godfatherism').

And I find that very strange because even abroad igbos run for office, yet they seem so afraid of competing against the likes of Atiku and Tambuwal under the same PDP they are the biggest loyalists and promoters of. Abi na so dem fear Fulani reach?? Where is that igbo fighting spirit that they make noise and thump their chest about all over cyberspacehuh It is indeed very strange.

Ndigbo what is happening??
There's nothing like beggy beggy here. You may recall that in 1999 Ogbonnaya Onu won the primaries for ANPP but they asked him to give way to Olu Falae, also in PDP Ekwueme was in a better position than Obasanjo but they have to give it to him to compensate southwest for the 1993 issue. So it is not out of place to do same for the igbos.

The WHOLE of Delta is not even Igbo!
They migrated to Bendel during the civil war to settle with Igbos already living there. Bendel is Mid west, Igbo is not part of Mid west. A lot of them's communities were erased so they continued living there. They were called the Bendel Igbos(Igbos living in Bendel).
The division of Bendel into Edo/Delta cut them into Delta which they are now claiming and stopped being Bendel Igbos.
The Deltans accommodate them, now they are land grabbers and claiming ownership.
How old are you?

How can you compare a military regime with a Democratic regime? Please compare again and tell amongst both names you mentioned who's really a coward.
You mean military men are allowed to go to someone's house and kill him in democracy? You get sense well well.
