The “specialist in failure” has been getting, even more, stick this season than ever, as regular campaigns for #WengerOut keeps hitting social media and every advertising platform (with fans taking it up a notch by advertising WengerOut with an aeroplane.) While Arsenal fans are not wrong in wanting Arsene Wenger out so that a new person (probably Allegri) can take over and lead the club back to the successful era that Arsenal FC is known for, Wenger resigning from Arsenal may not be the best move right now because of these 3 reasons.

-Arsenal May End Up Doing Worse Than They’re Currently Doing:

When the greatest manager in EPL history, Sir Alex Ferguson, retired from Manchester United with celebrations and parades, no one thought of the aftereffect and what it could mean for the team. His absence opened everybody’s eyes to just how “below average” the team really was (though it tells how great Fergie is for using such a team to win trophies year after year). Hate on Wenger all you want, but one thing no one can deny is that his top 4 finishing run season after season is extremely impressive. Even at a time when the average age of the players in the squad was 22, during times when Wenger relied on the likes of Diaby, Squillaci, Silvestre, a seriously underperforming Theo Walcott, Merida, a very young Ramsey, Vela and Wilshere, and Bendtner, the team still kept finishing in fourth position, year in year out.

Arsene Wenger absence can have the same effect Fergie’s did. With only two world-class players currently in Arsenal (Ozil and Sanchez), how will the new Manager hope to use the average players to win anything of note? unless he, of course, clears out the team first.. and that brings us to the second point

- Restructuring the team can take a while, Are fans willing to wait that long?

Let’s face it, Arsenal fans aren’t “die-hard and patient” like Liverpool fans. When Jurgen Klopp took over a very below average team, the fans understood the problem and have stood by him through thick and thin. Yet Liverpool isn’t anywhere near where one would expect them to be. However, the fans are still patiently hoping and believing.
When Jose Mourinho took over Manchester United and signed world-class players Ibrahimovic and Pogba, coupled with the well-above-average players like Herrera, Rooney, Juan Mata & Eric Bailly, fans expected them to not only charge for the title but win it without breaking too much of a sweat (because at the beginning of the season, the only real fear was Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City), yet United are currently in a tug-of-war match for sixth position on the log with Arsenal.

So if a new manager comes in and has to restructure the team. If he has to clear out all the underperforming players and “players unworthy to wear the jersey” and it takes two to three seasons to achieve, are Arsenal fans going to patiently wait and support the team even though they’re not getting the “immediate results”? or will they cry #____Out faster than United fans did #MoyesOut?

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on Thursday confirmed the disengagement of officials linked with missing 130 million liters of petrol.

A high ranking source in the ministry, who did not wish to be named, made the confirmation to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Abuja.

The source said: ”a committee has submitted it’s report and NNPC has recommended their disengagement”.

The officials were linked to the missing petrol stored at private depots through a thoroughput arrangement.

NAN recalls that Mr Henry Ikem-Obih, a Chief Operating Officer (Downstream) in NNPC, had on March 17, revealed that about 130 million litres stored at the Capital Oil & Gas depot and over 30 million litres in MRS Limited depot, all in Apapa area of Lagos, were not found when needed.

Ikem-Obih had said the infraction by the two downstream companies was a clear violation of existing contract which prohibited the firms from tampering with the volumes in their custody without express permission of the corporation.

He said the companies were called to explain and given two options to either return the full volume of what was stored in their depots litre-for-litre or pay the full value of the products taken without approval.

He had also mentioned that NNPC alerted the Directorate of State Service (DSS), the Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and relevant committees of National Assembly with oversight function on the corporation’s downstream operation to help recover the assets.

The officials were reported to have been sacked and later advised to resign, but are now officially disengaged from the services of the corporation. (NAN)

What is the lasting impact of this programme, I have never seen a state like Edo that seems not to know what to do, not minding the lean resources of the state. What about those illiterates such as No Molest and Tony Kabaka? Edo State is at the forefront of what exactly?

I use to feel empathy for the state and people but no more. If you know the nature of the average Bini man you will know they got exactly what they deserve. Like or not that state will never grow beyond its present mediocre status as long as the people retain this their mindset. Enough said already

I didn't check the day 9th and 8th July 2000 and 2001 respectively fell on. Now I got your point which is valid, especially the 9th july 2000 being a Sunday, but my argument is that nysc is known for making the interval between start and end of service 1yr e.g 8th to 7th July the following yr. Finally, we both agree that this certificate looks fake.

It seems you misunderstood my write-up. Read again; I said we passed out june 17 while July 6 was written on the discharge certificate(i.e july 7, 2010 to july 6, 2011). Thank you!

You can't use that to judge. NYSC discharge certificates are dated using an interval of exactly 1year between the day camp resumed to the day you passed out. E.g mine is July 7, 2010 to July 6, 2011. But we passed out 17th june, 2011.
Someone raised a valid point (you can't resume camp in year 2000 while your registration is reading /99/123....) which makes this discharge to stink of fake.

This comes a day after the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University(ABU), Professor Ibrahim Garba confirmed to the Senate that Dino Melaye truly graduated from the university in the year 2000.

The NYSC certificate dates 9th July 2000 to 8th July 2001.
