Politics › Re: FG Bans Import, Export Of All Goods At Land Borders by Mac2016(m): 6:26pm On Oct 14, 2019
opportunes:
The federal Government has announced a total ban on the import and export of goods at the land borders nationwide in the ongoing joint border operation, tagged: “Exercise Swift Response”. The Daily Trust reports that the operation began on August 20, 2019, involving Customs and immigration with support from Army and other security agencies.

The joint border security is being coordinated by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and covers the four geopolitical zones, including South-south, Southwest, North-central and the North-west. Briefing newsmen in Abuja on Monday, the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Col. Hameed Ali (Rtd) said: “The issue of movement of goods is not the same thing with movement of persons. “Let’s understand that all perishable items are on prohibition whether on export or import. Therefore, nobody can carry tomato to the border to import or export. So it makes it easier for us to close and ensure that all goods for now are banned from being exported or imported through our land borders. “That is to ensure that we have total control over what comes in and what we do. We are strategizing on how best the goods can be handled when we get to when this operation will relax,” he noted. Ali however, advised local dealers, who want to export or to import items, to use the seaports is the only access at present.

On when the operations, which is nearly two months will end, Ali said, “It is as long as it will take our neighbours to come to the table and agree to execute exactly what was agreed upon during former Olusegun Obasanjo’s time which is simple adherence to ECOWAS transit procedure. That has not happened.” In a response on how the operation is impinging on the fundamental rights of persons to movement, the Customs boss said, “When it comes to security, all other laws take a backseat. Nigeria must survive first then we can begin to consider your rights.”

Ali seems perplexed and in ultimate confusion.
Transit of good banned. Then suddenly jumped to security.

Happy Sunday guys. I want to know, for a graduate, is a 2.2 a bad result? Does it hinder one from certain opportunities and does it make employers not Like you?

Please help
It will definitely hinder you from some opportunities. But bro, you don't actually need all opportunities to succeed in life. You only need to make the best of any opportunity that you have. That said!
2.2 can make the struggle harder so get the best of grade you can. Now if you have got 2.2, this will work.

1. Study the field you wanna establish a career in, as in real market study. (look at their adverts and you will see their regular demand/prerequisite for hiring)

2. Figure out the largest demand and desire in that field as per software training required, certifications.

3. By fire by force, go for these trainings and be the best in them.

4. With that done. Bro, you are good to go even first class students won't be your match again

Stay blessed. I had a 2.2 also. 3.47 tho

And for my guy asking which network am using
My guy when you stop using Glo network you will understand what speed is all about. Stop using Glo niggarrr
Glo network is the only network where signal can go for about 3 days,
the only service whereby if you on your data connection you will have to wait for 5 minutes before browsing.
The only network where there will be signal in your toilet, corner of your room and beside kitchen cabinet only..
glo internet speed is slower than injured snail
you might give your life to Christ before you finish downloading a porn movie with glo

Okeke-Abuja road is one of the most dangerous routes in the country, even more dangerous than Abuja-Kaduna road.
Are you serious about this? I think the latter is currently the most dreaded in Nigeria
On another note, this is sooooo bad. A man struggled to make a difference in the society beating all odds to earn a PhD and become a COREN registered Engr. The level of insecurity in this country is pathetic

We took our time out to go check the affected shops in Jeppes town and other places were these attacks too place, it was only about 5 Nigerians that were affected.. Others like Parkistanis, Ethiopians, Simalians and even South African locals got affected.
If you have checked then you have commented right! Just "insighting" into that fact that media could be misleading!

Which businesses? I can bet with my life that 99% of the returnees had nothing in South Africa, they were just frustrated and were looking for a way to go back to Nigeria. Only about 5 Nigerians got affected by those Attacks and those people are still here in S.A... I heard about 15 of the returnees saying that their cars were burnt while it was only 2 Nigerian car dealers were affected and they 're still in S.A
See how you took media's account in hook, line and sinker. You are smarter than this, bro.
Under your nose here, many atimes the account of the media is way less than the actual event. I am not disputing the fact that individuals can lie but you don't distrust people solely cos of media's account of an event.
Always double check media's account of a story
Crime › Re: South African Returnee Caught In Armed Robbery In Enugu by Mac2016(m): 3:22am On Oct 02, 2019
Many Nigerians with dumb conclusions here. Arrested for alleged robbery doesn't necessarily mean he is a thief. We all are aware of the wack way some police do their job. Their is a need for improvement.
As a returnee without much assistance from the government, he might actually be homeless.
Also, many of us sabi how to waka to avoid "roger" by police, he might not.
Many instances could have actually made him vulnerable to arrest. He is innocent till proven guilty.
Science/Technology › Re: Hunter Kills & Butchers A Gorilla In Sapele, Delta State (Photos) by Mac2016(m): 5:27am On Oct 01, 2019
This is the beginning of cannibalism.
Gorillas are 98% human on DNA even in physiology.
For you to kill human semblance, you can kill human if not illegal.
I think as a matter of policy, killing this breed of mammal should be criminalized in Nigeria and the world over.
These cannibals should be found and prosecuted.
