Ok, here's the scenario here. They were cop killers, & they were considered armed & dangerous. The cops orders them more than once to lay down on the ground, they refused. what would you have the cops do under this scenario? walk up to them, knowing fully well they might be armed & dangerous? Nobody wanted to take such risks on a supposed cop killer. Also, how long were you expecting the cops to wait for them to comply?. Since they were never going to comply, what were you expecting the cops to do, hold hands & sing Kumbaya?

The lady cop who shot Queen might have misfired, but what about Slim? why was he so stubborn, why didn't he just lay still.
The fact is that, they both wanted to go out that way, that was why they did what they did.
I'd only choose to see it as racial brutality if they complied and was shot still.

The protocol is to negotiate first. If that fails, then, surround the suspects and neuter them either by taser or takedown

Take a look at the human development index that uses various socio-economic variables to rank countries in terms of development. The pattern is clear.

It is also of no wonder that the USA is the most religious developed country and it ranks the worst in healthcare and many other indices among developed countries.

Let me just correct you this once. You do not kill an unarmed person if you have a gun, especially if the unarmed person is not attacking you.

Police arrests people armed with knives in the UK, not to talk of people without any weapon. There is even one that I saw live where a machete wielding man was arrested after 30 minutes standoff with police. The negotiated with the guy, then when he wasnt cooperating, they enclosed him and seized the machete.

First off, Shooting the Cop was self-defence and probably hold up in court, but no the girl (surprisingly a lawyer) suggested they run away, secondly probably the Sheriff seemed "like one of the guys" and could have actually been be able to help if they had properly explained the whole situation but no another bad decision and the left the man in a deserted road in a trunk of a car thereby eliminating any chance of them presenting or building an credible case that would hold in court and from there things kinds spiraled out of country... There's was only going to be one outcome in the end.

The only part that you should correct is the end. They should have been arrested and not killed.

Nigeria is far from secular. A half principle is not a principle. Secularism is only half practiced in Nigeria.

First, we have sharia law in the north. Very wrong.
Secondly, we have government that uses state money for religious activities. Are you aware that up till 2015, different state governments were sponsoring pilgrimages? Both Christian and islamic pilgrimages.

Then, we have governors who claim that their state is a christian state. An eastern governor did this. Then, we can talk about the immunity big pastors have where small churches and shops were forcibly closed but no police dared to closed big churches that had full congregations during this epidemic.


Religion is a problem in Nigeria and Africa at large. It is not the biggest problems it is second to only corruption.
