The only context you need to know is the Israelites or people at the time of the old testament were barbaric. These were people who stoned their children to death for disobedience. They stoned their neighbors for disobeying the sabbath. How do you think they treated their slaves?

So Genevieve tries to counter that notion & mentality. She projects the females as strong, ambitious go getters like their male counterparts, and that all they need is the exposure & opportunity. Invariably, the moral of the story is that females are as important as their male counterparts.

Trust me, if the movie had been done in our 100% indigenous language, it would have been very much recognized by the Oscars, not saying it's going to win though.

Just watched this movie again! I love it!!

u shud know am not the only one that thinks it's thrash. Rotten tomatoes gave it a 57% aggregate and Metacritic gave it a 45/100.
the films New Zealand directors were just trying to do something more like Ready Player but they failed woefully. It was like a video game character film gone wrong.

IMDb gives it a 6.3.


It is a mistake to compare Guns akimbo to Ready player one. The only similarity between them is a videogame background.

Guns Akimbo is a critique on gaming culture while ready player one is a movie focused on gaming nostalgia

All the films (Hollywood) made this year are bad. The cinematography is great but the writing is flawed, like they tiredly wrote it.
Someone said i shud watch Guns Akimbo, that one was the ultimate thrash, just like every Daniel Radcliffe movies after HP, I watched Bad Boys for Life and i regretted ever using my Night plan data to download it. The rest of the trash, i don't want to remember their names.
